Moshe also begged God also... and God withheld His hand. 😊 What is important is to notice that God called the Israelites 'Moses People' and offeres to make Moses a great nation. If one is not willing to sacrifice himself for his people - is he then even worthy of being a leader let alone life? I was stunned to find out that I was Jewish and my family name so old as to possibly be related to Moshe. I am humbled.

If a leader does not want to or is unable to sacrifice himself for the people, he is not considered a good leader. Leading comes with great sacrifice. I'm glad to hear Hashem gave you the merit to find out your true origins and I pray you will embrace your heritage.

Hello Barbara, Thank you for your question. You are allowed to pronounce Hashem's name for teaching purposes if you feel it will inspire and affect the soul of the listeners. You're not supposed to use Hashem's holy name every time, but if it's once or twice here and there - it is permissible for the purpose of teaching.
