It has come full circle. Impulse accidentally poked through to Gem's village when he dug the hole. Now Gem poked through to Impulse's roof.

I love how elves are usually portrayed and whimsical and magical but Gem is the chaotic murderous elf.

Did you know that every hermit base forms a complete circle around starter village if you include the shopping district? I think this season really really need a severe wide elytra race

I think you could use stairs for the legs, so they don't look so blocky and awkward on a close distant, while the more blocky body still looks good from a far and needs no change.

Not the expected start to the video, but a good use of all of those extra etho heads! Silly doc, thinking he could defeat our GeminiSlay that easily. I really like the white dress on the statue! I feel like it stands out nicely against the darker backdrop of the spruce trees, but matches with the white paths that you laid. I love how much detail has gone into this base and how it's all coming together!

I wonder if building some kind of big ship(s) to semi cover up impulse’s farm in the distance would be cool. I feel like you could come up with some really cool Elven boat designs. Also might look cool from up at the base with the statues on either side. Just something to think about. Awesome video as always! [excited for Stardew today 😊]

I love that Gem's base is constantly evolving and never really finished, because there are always parts (like the village houses) that can be transformed into her own style. It's teaching me that a base doesn't have to be done in one step, and that adapting and changing the minecraft landscape and structures is a good way to customize your world step by step

I loved seeing you play with the armor stands, i think its such an underrated feature for giving life to builds

The statues look like giant defenders of the village and kingdom, that come to life only under the most dire of circumstances. They've been dormant for hundreds of years, but one day they may move again!

With a little bit of cheeky flowing water and some armour stands, you could create a shooting range that the hermits can use to practice on moving targets :D

The two statues makes me think of a lore where after centuries and maybe even millennias the villagers thought that the two statues are two separate people. One teaching them archery, while the other teaching them swordsmanship. The archery twin being the older one, let's call her Gemini, was the one who founded the village and possibly the kingdom when exploring with her hunting friends (in tradition, typically includes a dwarf named Imnples, and a "foreign" looking woman named Perl. People would include other characters in mythology depending on the teller, but those two are consistent except for Perl's physical description). Meanwhile her younger twin Tay, was back in their original village, Spawn. In there, she eventually tasked herself on a quest to conquer an ancient city found in the depth of the ocean in search for the fabled Prismarine. After, conquering it with a ragtag group of friends along the way, her and her long time companion, Tress (Stressmonster) looted the city and brought back some of the most prized treasures to their village. The two sister were able to reunite after Gemini laid claim over her side of the land with the dwarf Imnples. She headed back to Spawn village to tell her sister of their new home. Together they made their journey back to the new lands and on the very cliff side where the elves and the dwarves meet, Tay placed the light stone from the sunken city she looted and it grew to a marvelous pillar. Tay smiled at this site and said, "Yes, this is home." I've been on a mythology binge for a while along with listening to EPIC the musical on repeat so this popped up in my head, so yeah.

Yay! I can't wait for armour trims, that will be so cool when added to the stands. Need an Etho statue wearing leather armour. :D Everything is awesome so far, loving the base more and more.

For the trampled ground, I'd like to suggest adding packed mud to the mix, it's a very good path block that's still a full block height. And it's additional texture to the mushroom and coarse dirt.

Realistically, you would want the backdrop behind the archery range to be a wall of hay, since it's dense enough for the arrows to stick in, but loose enough that you could retrieve them without breaking them. Of course, this is Minecraft so it doesn't work that way, and the stripped logs look better.

I like the detail that the warrior statue has a wooden sword. Fun fact: Mining Gravel with a Fortune III pickaxe will always give you flint.

In medieval times (I know Gem is doing an elven base but lots of fantasy stuff is based on that time period so i feel like this still applies), towns and cities would display the heads of criminals or enemy forces on city gates or walls as a warning and coastal towns in particular would display pirate heads on harbour walls or around docks for similar reasons. If you're looking for something to do with all the etho heads, you could do something similar around your base

I'm not sure why you don't always play with shaders, but I certainly appreciate the fly-throighs with shaders you often include at the end of building episodes. It makes your builds look even better. Especially with these statues I think they stand out more from the background this way.
