As a Icelander I appreciate that you made a video about this subject. No one in my country risks offending the little people or the hidden folks, even if they believe in their existence or not. The government even changes the layout of road building if there is a risk of disturbing the settlements of those entities because of previous bad experiences

When my grandmother came from Ireland it was said she brought a Pookha and a Leprechaun with her. The Leprechaun loved her and couldn't bear to be removed from her. The Pookha was just curious as to why she would leave home. Story goes that on her deathbed, she was talking to them and told them to go home.

I grew up in a small Alberta town. I know these little people are real as I lived with little people in my room. They would come through the venting in the roof and visit. They were full of stories and wisdom and were very kind and comforting. I tried to tell my sister and mom, but I was told it was my imagination. I knew it wasn’t, so I kept it secret but never forgotten. They were not something to fear, but rather a gifted blessing to have witnessed.

I am Native Hawaiian, we have our version of the Hawaiian dwarves called “menehunes.” They we’re excellent craftsman who were known to build fishponds, temples, roads and canoes. They lived in the lush jungles & forest of the Hawaiian islands, and preferred to do their work at night. I have family members who lived in a valley on the westside of Oahu, it is said, that on a certain night each month it is known that the menehunes would come down from the upper valley and use their backyard as a trail as they supposedly headed toward the sea. It has been passed down through the elders of this story, that the family that originally lived in that home for generations, would leave food and drink for them, so that they would not cause harm to their land or the chickens that they raised. Because of this, it is said that supposedly the menehunes also tended to their taro fields for them and this family life prospered because of this.

A few years ago, I watched an exceptional documentary about New Zealand, called, The Redheads (see link at the end). It ended up being one the best documentaries I have ever watched. They make wild claims to begin with, that they can link the legends from the past to the modern world, a claim very rarely achieved in a documentary. Actually, when the lady who presented the documentary said this, I laughed to myself. I guess I've watched too many History Channel nonsense shows, that poses a question and answers it with more questions, using conjecture as "evidence". By the end, it is safe to say, my ENTIRE world view of the ancient world was literally transformed into an entirely new light. Not only did they make good on their claim, but they backed it up with indisputable, conclusive evidence that simply can not be ignored. How did they do this? Well, I want to say, while at the same time, I don't want to give you spoilers. Suffice it to say, I guarantee once you hear it, you will understand why I was so convinced. Bear in mind, I am not the type who believes in a mountain, based on a molehill. I demand solid proof before I believe anything. What's remarkable is, this documentary provided the conclusive proof in one show, which is why I hold it such high regard. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this brilliant documentary as much as I did. Why this hasn't rewritten the history books astounds me. Below, you will find the link, as promised. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BRjyDGOVcXE.html

Delta, I only found and subbed this channel today and Enjoy it already. ( : The dwellings you speak of have been found all over the earth. There are a couple YT channels I am subbed to that have featured them, one is (Praveen Mohan) located in India. He has a boots on the ground attitude toward verification of said history or giving evidence to people to decide if said history is fact or fiction. He gains his knowledge by going to the locations himself and has a vast knowledge of his country. He recently (Feb 2022) featured a cave that appeared to be suited for the Little or Good People, as the case may be. Sylvie on the (Newearth) channel also personally visits locations and one such place was in Turkey, where it appeared obviously constructed and or reworked as a residence for Little and or Good People. (Red Stick Warrior Association) channel hosts a series about them, stories passed down through the generations. Hope you enjoy them as much as we both are enjoying Hammerson Peter's channel.

My brother and I were at a "Friend" trailer, we seen lil people in black suits and their heads were shaped like , one of those green grapes, kinda oblong. The color of their heads were white with lighter white lines running from the top of their heads to their necks with darker blotchs also on their faces pigment and they looked old, but they moved like they were young, they just scurried around and peeked at us from doorways, and from behind furniture, and the thin hallway. They were about 2"/ 3 inches tall. I think they were looking for scraps & crumbs. We had ate pizza, chips&dip ,, pop while playin pitch , a card game. I got tired of the card game, my brother too, so we sat on the floor , snacking, joking. Then ... there they were ! But what is REALLY WEIRD IS WE NEVER SAID ANYTHING TO ANYONE, BUT US! Even sitting on the floor while it was happening! We, looked at each other only, and whispered to each other about it . But , I will never understand WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND MY BROTHER, AND WHY WE DIDN'T YELL AND TELL EVERYONE THERE AT THE TIME LIKE A 17 YEAR OLD AND A 15 YEAR OLD WOULD OF . ?? .. PLUS.. Only my brother and me know too this day, never did tell anyone at School the following week, and didn't even tell our "Friend" that her trailer had these lil CREATURES living there with her . I lived in Germany and had a job as a delivery driver for a local restaurant. +I'm fairly certain I delivered food to a couple families of gnomes or dwarves. One house had its entire front yard packed with hundreds of little gnome figurines. I caught a glimpse of the family they were all less than 5 feet tall. with big cherry cheeks and wide mouths. another house I delivered to was an apartment building and it was a female with the same characteristics. very short with big rosy cheeks and a wide mouth. like the corners of their mouths almost touched their ears. I had a few other events happen to me in Germany that have pretty much convinced me that folkloric creatures live side by side with homo-sapiens in our modern age.

I had an interesting occurrence 5 years ago. We were getting ready to redo the houses roof with steel. The best source was in a Mennonite area east of the city. When we stopped to get 1x4 inch strapping boards for the roof, it decided to unleash a flood of rain, soaked to the skin in moments. Knocking on the door I met the patriarch. If you watched The Lord of the Rings, you know what a hobbit looks like....about 4 feet tall, with curly reddish brown hair all over where I could see right down to his oversized, almost club footed feet, bare and dirty half way up his bare, very hairy calves. I was polite and didn't stare or break out laughing until I was back driving away. Very definitely a Hobbit.

Fantastic story, Hammerson Peters! There are so many stories of cave-dwelling little-people from all corners of the world. Combining that with a lot of creation myths about "emerging from caves" and "floods" makes me think that, at one time in human history, we had to hide underground from some ELE (Extinction-Level Event) and that, maybe, some of our cousins still lived (or still live?) deep in the earth.
@ScottJB
@ScottJB 2 года назад
The fact that all these cultures, whose last common ancestors split off from each other 10,000-100,000 years ago, have EXTREMELY similar names and stories for these beings, either means that humans everywhere are wired biologically to create extremely specific myths, or that we've somehow separately preserved similar traditions for insane amounts of time, or that there is some actual literal truth to the folklore. Each one of these possibilities is mind-blowing.

I'm in the maritime nearon mainland coast of Nova Scotia, the Acadian old stories spoke of these forest elves and to me these are not just stories ,but factual modern legend imo, I found tiny hunt camps in Oct of 2018 , deep in the barren lands, only accessed by ATV and 2'days of walk on deer trails ,what I discovered made no sense until Ii studied , I found a tiny spruce bow lean two only 3 feet long 2 feet wide, a small rock fire rings only 1 foot round, wood stacks all 4 " long , split like tiny kindle wood Id only use to start a fire ? ,small prints and rock symbols carved into near by stones, I could smell a sent in the bow beds made , I would say like lavenders oil ? I mapped the area well, left some snack bars , added to the wood piles , then went on to hunt and bag a deer a day later , when I passed by 2 days later the area was cleaned up , only thing remained was the fire ring and ash . To me it was a small person camp no doubt in my mind , I will return in years to come, I had good vibes as I sat pondering what I had seen,so I don't get an evil vibe I told my wife she said animals likely ate my sport cereal bars, I told her then those are clean animals, to tidy a camp so nice and not leave a wrapper,she knows I saw something that has peeked my curiosity, and said best I don't return but , I will continue to study this , and I hope to get pictures in the future of whom ever uses that remote camp in the bush of Nova Scotia,

I got goosebumps listening to these stories in many parts, in my native country in Central America, we believe in ' Duendes' which are, small folk, fairies, gnomes, the name can be translated to many english descriptions. What got to me is that in my family we were told as children at the time to scare us that our great uncle was once taken by the Duendes, this would have been in the 1920's, that they caught up to him in time and he was left in a pile of firewood, it could have been some one trying to kidnap him and in their haze to run away when they heard the family come after them they left the baby. But here is what got to me, his speech, my great uncle had a stutter and was very hard to understand, and was very child like, we all loved him. But after listening to this tale and how the returned could have speech problems.. well, it just gave me goosebumps.

She was tending her garden one morn and moved a large rock with a spade to get to a space to plant a cabbage . Once the rock was moved a little people appeared and asked her what she was doing there and after she explained the little people told her not to use her spade in that spot nor move any of the rocks there for one whole year less none of her plantings would ever survive again. She complied after consulting with the local priest. After the year, she never had a single failure in her garden though it was in the midst of a great potato famine. She seemed blessed when everyone else's crops failed. I respect the ways of the old people weather or not I understand. At another time I parked at a bank on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton. As I came around the corner I saw a very short man about 4' in height who was dressed in a long brown coat that had the long tails of the 1700's. His footwear appeared to be of about the same century. On his head was a fur hat. He was looking at a small piece of paper. He looked up at me and became very nervous and fiddled with the paper. I nodded to him and he quickly walked past me. I turned around to see where he was going and he had disappeared. The day was the 26 of December, 2008.

In Michigan, in 1969, I was 4 and my older brother, who was 5, came running out of a thicket which bordered our neighborhood playground. He was white as a ghost and his eyes as large as saucers as he exclaimed seeing a group of little people in the woods. I remember asking him a few questions, like, "where?" And, he pointed into the thicket... but, typical of children that young, we shrugged it off and went back to playing, life went on as if it didn't happen.

I spent a summer in Newfoundland, with my girlfriend, who was from there. We were blueberry picking when she told me the story of her great aunt, who went blueberry picking after twilight (never go out at twilight) sometime in the 1940's. She didn't come home for 2 nights, couldn't explain what happened. She remained "distracted and simple like" for the rest of her life. (oh,and her hair turned white) Her family was firmlyconvinced the fairies took her. Even my girlfriend (who I met at college) had her doubts.

@@HammersonPeters Well, as you might imagine, the whole place is a haunted house. I saw what the locals said was a Zumbe…walking stark naked down the street. They say if they ever escape enslavement from the Bokur, they walk home. In the bowels of the Citadel near Cap Haitien I experienced coldness, dread, vertigo and rushes of air. In the same vicinity, I sat in on a Witch Trial where the accused was convicted of putting the Whammy on her husband who promptly demised. Since I was US Army attached to the UN, the Judge de Paix asked me to transport her to the prison in Cap Haitien which I did with great courtesy. This is so good I love those stories. At 46:46 it's really interesting because when I was traveling in the Philippines (Asia) I met some ancient shaman people and they told me about the fairies. For them it has always been a reality, and what is incredible is that they told me the exact same thing and stories about them: fairies can trap you in the jungle by some illusionary tricks and magic, and they told me several stories of some of their folks who ended trapped for hours in a sort of loop/unusual place like the people in these stories. That's why most of people there always ask permission to the spirits of the forests and fairies before entering the jungle and some sacred natural settings, and make offering and prayers to them.

I was stabbed in the face & eye with a beer bottle from behind, yet I still have 20/20 vision.... grew up in poverty yet experienced more in life than most have that are wealthy... 2 of 3 wishes have been used/confirmed and I hope as MacLeod's we use the 3rd wish to bless the Faery's well being..

I have been surrounded by three possibly 5 of these little beings. A few sat down and one even payed on its side as I spoke about the depth of my heart and the love I felt for all life, people and the world in which we live. They listened to all of my fears and concerns and brought me solace after sharing with them. I never believed in things like that would exist. Mainly because I’m a logical person. However, there is a world just beyond ours. You can take that to the bank. It does!! Exist and it is literally rite on the edge of our reality. Similar to how a word is in the very top of your tongue. But you have trouble saying it. It’s the same exact way. You just can’t see it instead. Bless to all. And good Will to all

In indonesia, we also have the story of the little people who live in the forest and like to confuse people are lost in the wilderness. One of my colleague told me once, that her daughter suddenly went missing while playing with her friends (they lived in a big palm plantation), and no one could find her after searching for all day long. Fortunately the next morning, somehow she was found among the bushes in front of her house. And she told her parents that while she was playing someone (possibly a women if i am not mistaken) approached her and led somewhere into the plantation, and made her sit under a big tree, providing her with food and water that luckyly she didn't touch at all (for although that food might appear to be just any other harmless food, it is actually earth worms, maggots, and things alike).

This was a very interesting and informative video! I've heard about the Native legends of "Little People" on a program called: RED EARTH UNCOVERED which is on the APTN network. I love these kind of fairy stories, as I heard some of them when I was a very little girl. My aunt used to tell me that if my hair was all tangled by next morning, that the elves had done it. I heard stories about changelings, too. In the old country (Scotland) people would put iron tongs across the baby's cradle to keep the baby safe from the Little People. I was told that the Little People don't like iron, and that it keeps them at bay. Your stories about the red hot shovel being used to scare the changelings away, and bring back the human baby, was rather similar to the old tales that I've heard. Perhaps the shovels were made from iron? Thank you for sharing your videos! ~Janet in Canada

Hammerson, Great video! Well-researched, plus extremely well-written and narrated. This is one of those rare productions which is both entertaining and educational. (Something which I highly enjoy, but rarely find in the world of You Tube videos!) So, just dropping you a note to express my thanks for investing such excellence in your work - a relatively rare practice, so therefore greatly appreciated! Also, the young lady at the beginning of the story does a fine job of narration, having a clear, pleasant voice and reading the material beautifully. Thanks for the feature-length video. It is a fascinating topic, and I believe more people are interested in supernatural folklore stories than would care to admit it! The true-life tale of the retired university president who added his own boyhood memories to the mix made it even more interesting - and more believable, in my opinion! Please keep up the great work! Best Wishes.
