Warning: Contains blood & stuff. Ok, for this video i let my protagonist suffer every possible death in this game. Alright, let´s talk about the most painful/horrible death in the game !
I think no one has made a timestamp for this game, so I figured why not make one :3 Please dont judge me, I’ve never played this game 💀 0:07 - Killed by a wizard (or a witch? idk) 0:18 - Burned to death 0:28 - Scary Ghost scratching you to death 0:40 - A killer stabbing you to death 0:51 - A scary man gave ya a heart attack 1:05 - Fishes biting your hand 1:34 - A bad dream 2:01 - A Vampire bites you 2:11 - An ugly bug (I'm guessing its a caterpillar?? im not sure.) 2:22 - A bug poisioned you 2:34 - A scorpion poked you 2:46 - A bug is attacking you (Not sure what that is) 3:01 - 3 bugs spitting some kind of acid at you (Again, I don't know what those are) 3:13 - A giant spider is attacking you (and then you got caught in a web) 3:36 - Another bug poked you 3:47 - A bat is flying around attacking you 4:01 - Banshees attacking you with their powers 4:12 - A skeleton is attacking you 4:24 - Walked into a trap 4:35 - Another trap (I'm not sure what happened there) 4:46 - Trying to get the key (but ya hand got chopped) 4:57 - Got crushed by a boulder as you walk out of the door 5:08 - Another Skeleton is attacking you 5:19 - A ghost appeared 5:31 - Trying to cut the string while getting the key (but ya still got ya hand chopped) 5:41 - A gargoyle is attacking you 5:53 - A wizard turned you into a frog 6:03 - A snake spat at you 6:14 - Death wants you 6:27 - A person's head for dinner 6:40 - Drowned to death 6:50 - Some nasty bug is killing you (Don't know what that is) 7:02 - A monster grabs you and froze you to death 7:13 - Frankenstein's brother killed you 7:23 - 3 headed monsters roasted you (literally..) I worked pretty hard to make this timestamp xD I wanted to be creative as well, no need to thank me tho, you're welcome! (P.S. let me know if i missed something)
I like how they included the whole fainting thing. I mean, what has always struck me as unrealistic in survival horror games is how the protagonists don't respond to the threats and horrors any normal person would. That's also why they should revisit things like the sanity meter idea from Eternal Darkness.
For those of you wondering if HP actually matters in this game: some enemies had one hit kills, like the Angel of Death in the church, or the vampires. Other enemies that you could get into combat with would damage you depending on where they hit you. Having your head or torso reach 0 HP meant death, and the total HP was the combined HP of all your appendages and head/torso. Some enemies and objects did damage over time as well, so having a higher torso HP could stave of death just long enough to "cure" whatever was poisoning you.
Not saying you're wrong here. That makes sense. But that doesn't explain the death at 6:41. All parts of the body are at 9, which is max, and the HP counter stays the same.
@@HinataChick38 That particular death is from drowning. No HP was lost, as no phyical damage was taken. The player would need a breathing spell to survive location. If no such spell is active on the player, it simply acts as an insta-death scenario.
If only they had the elaborate death animations Waxworks did! A shame Elvira never got another game made later on, something like Illbleed on the Dreamcast would have been perfect :-)
Ah this wasn't so bad. Certainly not as creepy as Waxworks or Elvira Mistress Of The Dark (that death by eagle in Elvira... god I think I'm traumatised from that)
The piranhas devour your fingers to the bone and all you say is "Ouch! That hurt!" Lulz I don't know if the girl's head on a platter is funny or total nightmare fuel... maybe funny if blood didn't flow from her mouth when she smiles at you. O_______O
My head canon for the head on the table is that they are just an extra who is still alive. The table had a hole in it that she fit her head into for a scene, and the monsters never noticed her because she was hidden. When you finally lift the cover, she thinks they’re filmi and smiles because that was her role. She stops smiling because you aren’t one of the actors and is confused
To be honest, it wasn't THAT scary to me after all. (Although 1:37 was somewhat creepy) Pretty gruesome but not enough against "mindless beast Jennifer" from Splatterhouse 3.
In studio 2 if you encounter the zombie while under the effect of courage and just stand there, then the zombie will bite you in the neck. Hell, there's even a death scene just for that!

There are at least two death animations that are missing from this compilation though, one of which I've seen from watching the longplay - while exploring the catacombs (the one with the wizard at the end), one of the rooms with the chest in has a zombie which attacked the player with bare hands after opening the chest. The other one is from the faux-Elvira that is found in the room that is blocked by Frankenstein. Assuming that THIS Elvira isn't the last to be rescued, that is...
Another missed death, is attempting to be cute and use courage to not faint from the zombie in studio 2. Oh, you aren't afraid of me? .... Well then! *OMNOMNOMNOM!* There, NOW you're afraid! ... and also DEAD!
I have two possible answers, since no one answered when I asked the same thing. The first idea I have is that it doesn't kill you/cause an end-game, but the guy who made the original video (not this guy who posted it) just threw it in for those who wondered what was beneath the lid. The second idea is that it causes the same death as 0:51 (fainting). The reason why the character wasn't shown to have died was because the guy who made the original video had the Courage spell already active.
Two deaths I have to ask about here. The "flying" ghost death and the master wizard angry at you then turning you into a toad. What triggers these events exactly? I watched a playthrough of the game and I don't believe either of them was encountered in the normal game play so what happened here?
How exactly does a head on a plate kill you? It can try to bite you, but you can just grab the fucker by the hair and kick it out the nearest window our something :D

From what I've seen in a walkthrough video, you have to have a certain item in your inventory that banishes the apparition when it appears. Whether it's a case of merely having it or using it, I'm not sure, but the item in question prevents it from having any effect
I get how all the other deaths work,but how is "you faint at the horrific sight before your eyes" really a death? You're unconscious sure but you're not DEAD yet.
I finally figured out how this death works. You "faint" sounds innocent enough until you realize that technically speaking you have a time limit as Cerberus WAS planning on sacrificing Elvira to complete a ritual to enter and quite literally unleash hell on earth. Meaning you being unconscious you fail that time limit and Elvira not only dies but the entire human races does as well...
Oh come on the goblin cut his throat clean off like a blade but then later they show another death where his head was ripped off, why didn't they use that imagine for the blunt weapons instead?
1.35-1.55 is so far ahead of it´s time and computer technology . The werewolf transformation in Elvira 1 too. The amiga and this game wasn´t very wellknown in the US at all at the time right? Amiga was the coolest gamemachine you could have here in Sweden from 1988-92..
The first one had better deaths. 90% of these are the same pic or slightly edited same pic. The first one also had a creepier vibe, the music in this one just...doesn't fit.
Is it just me or does the guy representing the Player look like Robert Beltran (the actor who played Chakotay in "Star Trek: Voyager") in the lying down shots? (ex. 00:11) 🤨😅
