Bought that on cd when it came out in the mid '80s. One of the first Elvis cds out, when they were AAD, analog, analog, digital - best sound before RCA starting compressing. Awesome song selection!

That looks a great album 👌 Beautiful gatefold too .... I have the original album....but I allways thought they could have added at least 4 more tracks on it 😮 So many more they could have added onto greatest hits volume 5 ! I do prefer side one if I'm honest .. Cheers Ed 🥂
I have an original copy in mint condition. Found it Sealed old stock in a record store a few years ago. It sounds absolutely amazing. I Love the track listing. Not a big fan of Friday Music releases. I find them to be hit and miss, Especially on translucent colored vinyl. Perfectly happy with my original. 👍
@@TheKingsCourt1972 Nice! I got a bad taste in Friday Music Elvis with their pressing of the debut album. Brand new with inner groove distortion and an off center spindle hole. And my Gold vinyl “Promised Land” sounds digital to me. Thin and lifeless. But then my blue marble “On Stage” album sounds Incredible. So… that’s why I say “Hit and miss”. If I already have a great sounding copy, I don’t need another, lol.

instead of "IF You Talk in Your Sleep" - they should of had "PROMISED LAND" , then "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" , then For the Heart , Moody BLUE , Way Down :) they should have put "The Wonder of You" after "IF I CAN DREAM" on side A :) and make it at Least 12 songs on the Record :) if it would be an even Longer LP - include "U.S. MALE , and I have other songs I would choose to add to this album - if it was a 20 song LP or Longer :) ++++++++
Hate that Friday Music didn't make Vol. 3 & 4. They made Vol. 1, 2 & 5. Speaker Corner and a few other Companies have made 3 & 4. Odd they didn't make them. Was looking at one of the Friday releases. Like your Vol. 5. Maybe Vol. 1?? it said Happy Birthday Elvis on one side & In God We Trust on the other side. Blew me away to see that. A happy surprise
Great reveal Ed but aren't you supposed to throw away that inner sleeve? Having said that I've kept all mine in the original inners. Hope I don't regret it.
Honestly the gatefold is piss poor col must have done it himself this always used to piss me off the cheapo state of his covers later on ON INFO WHATSOEVER!! Eg, holiday sisters not sweets kathy Westmoreland told me bout this !
