And John, Your on point with that statement, I too, would have made the release an even 12 and included the August 3 concert. Such a difference to, as opposed to later in the engagement. 😊

Love your in-ear pieces. You're right they sound amazing. I had mine made by Variphone 3-way costume made for on stage as a drummer. I used to have those huge side fills next to me which made me deaf at the end of the evening 😂 but these I use also when I take a walk or something like that. No one sees it and you have suburb sound quality.

Thank you! I used those for about half of season one here, but they're my go-to earbuds for live shows for a similar reason; being able to hear everything more helps keep me from oversinging, which helps my voice stay stronger for longer (and really helps me finesse when hitting softer/gentler high notes, too)

@@EAPSociety I know right! For my singing (drummer with vocals in my band) they are great, but for drums not so, then I prefer my two way Sennheiser costume made. But Variphone is a big brand here in Europe. You have also costume color, sad I didn't do that, just flesh color but if I had to do it again, sure Elvis or TCB logo on there 😁

i recently bought this box, it's fantastic... and btw, the thing with the sticker, that's funny, i'm doing the exact same thing, whether it's an LP vinyl album, CD-sets or DVDs... it may vary where i place it, but it's an old habit, taking care of every business when it comes to Elvis releases... 😅

I still don't have this set (doesn't look like it's going OOP anytime soon) but it's one I've listened to a *ton* on streaming. I have the Vegas 69 FTDs but the box set offers all the shows in consistent mixes, which is a big selling point. I have minor quibbles here and there (drums could be louder IMO) but overall they're great.

Yeah, that's been our opinion, as well. I'm glad it's on streaming, too! Hopefully we'll get "vintage-esque" mixes of all of these, but definitely a great listen, like you said!

I can understand that thinking, but I do think it's good that they're doing these for completists (like John and I) who want comprehensive sets. If you're good with the 2-LP, though, nothing wrong with that - as long as both exist, more fans have the level of material they like. 😁

@@EAPSociety It is true that the shows are largely the same, but they do have some different songs and overall atmosphere. The earlier shows are looser while something like the August 26 DS is more disciplined, for example.

Oh, completely agreed! Sets like this are a great way to not only get a sense of each show, but also a greater idea of how Elvis and the band hone and shift the tone of the shows as they go. While it's not for everybody, I do think it's important context. I'd actually like to see this treatment given to the Vegas soundboards and/or booth tapes at some point, though that likely won't happen via official channels.

I bought it but it was too much cds of the same songs so I give half of them away during christmas time. It drive me crazy lisening it over and over.

I'm sure the folks tou gave those CDs to were happy! But I can understand that, Mike - sets like these aren't for everybody. Even for those who enjoy them, as we do, it's less about listening all at once in a "binge watch" fashion, and more "take one out and listen to that show, and then listen to a different show from the season when you want to come back to that engagement.

Great job guys, been watching your cool videos for a while but forgot to subscribe, so sorry, but just did now :). I have been a fan for a long time but I haven't kept up with the vital releases like this so I am in catch up mode. Thank you for doing this, your videos are fun and very informative. I live in New Zealand so a lot of items you need to pay big freight charges for, but I have a question, I will be in Memphis for the Elvis week ( 1st time!), will that be the ideal time and place for shopping and looking for these items or is online a better option you think? A very nice Information...but it would be better to make a "little bit" more Details on the content on this amazing Engagement. IMO the Box-Set is really relevant unbelievable amazing and one of a kind. But the History/Presentation Story behind of ELVIS 1969 LV first (not the half Engagement in 1956...is also interesting) Performance should have been a little go deeper. Opening Act of Streisand-Shows at the International Hotel, the Vision of Parker to bring Elvis back Live on Stage with Dancing Girls on Stage in 1969 at the International Hotel...and so on. The 11 CD Box-Set would rising above the Charts...i'm only 😉 kiddin. But i ike your Channel a lot, i'm a Subscriber on your RU-vid Channel (i'm from Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹 sorry, my english language is horrible, terrible what ever...) All the Best Buddies and keep on rockin this very good way...👍 i really like your Enthusiasm for the Man and his Music indeed and this cool Channel!

I'm collecting all on ELVIS Music my most important Hobby (every sigh he'd ever made😉)...btw i must say the vocally musically Intro on your Channel is really good, sounds like a little bit like a kind of "I Got Lucky" / "Poison Ivy League" early Elvis Movie Medley...Very Cool 😎 sorry i'm 60years old, if i'm wrong please forgive...now i am lookin forward Buddies on the next superb Video, you are really wonderful TOP NOTCH 👌

And I really appreciate that you like the intro! We were indeed going for a 61-62 movie song vibe, so that's right on! John and I are fans of filmmaking as well, and we keep saying that (at some point) it'd even be interesting to see if we could make our own Elvis 60's movie (we have a few ideas already, lol). Coincidently, I listened - or rather tried to listen - to this two nights ago. An absolutely depressing experience. I doubt Jim Morrison was ever as wasted as Elvis was during the two concerts I skimmed through. Elvis forgets the words, tries to make some jokes and laughs way too long at them (BTW, he's the only one laughing.) Then there's the requests for Gatorade, because evidently he's sweating buckets. I saw him on the evening of September 4, 1976 at the Lakeland Civic Center, and he was far more lucid than here. The only album I've come across that is more depressing is Billie Holiday, The Verve Years. The first three discs find her at the very peak of her powers - mature and beautiful voice, magnificent. (What could have been), and then the people who sold the thing went into the vaults to pack it out in an effort to make more money. Listening to that poor woman drunkenly struggling to make coherent sentences and contend with her heroin addiction while trying to sing (unsuccessfully) was a huge bummer, much worse than this series of concerts. Two listening experiences I'd warn anyone against.

BTW i met you in Memphis during Elvis week 2017 Jamie, my first time at sun, and you were hanging out there, and me and my dad needed directions and you told us where to go, thanks for that!. Was a bit to shy to meet you back then, also know you from the FECC forum (where my name is Johnny2523). Keep on making these videos.. can i make one small suggestion thou? The camera is a bit tilted on the closer shots so it seems like you guys are goin to fall to the left... nothing important but something i noticed lol!
