I’ve never seen anyone apply strips to the bottom of a flexi panel before. I’d be worried that motorway wind speeds will rip that double sided sticky tape off. I’ve only know people use Sikaflex direct to the panel and van.

Go to choice in Australia? Hardly. Popular for sure but most people are travelling around in a big 4wd with an even bigger Aluminium turd hauler attached to the towbar.

They’re going to fall off- dubble sided tape not be strong enough and glue will deteriorate in the heat eventually the panel will be road litter! Make something more durable

You never ever solder on a car there's a reason manufacturers don't do it as the vibration causes em to to snap you should have used correct connectors or removed the cables at the panel and put longer ones in or used longer cable and connected em.inside.the vehicle

Let's see how long the double sided tape holds the solar panel down for after some very hot weather. My guess is not very long.

@@oldbloke204 I bought the Kombi before they touched it and have removed the double sided tape and glued it properly.

@@DiscoStu65-sj6pu I had a double sided tape setup on the handpiece for my radio in my 4wd and it was as good as useless once the hot weather hit. Took a while to sort but it's nice and solid now.
