Thank you for coming to Texas. I saw Elvis in Fort Worth on July 3, 1976. It was his last Fort Worth performance. Sadly, the Fort Worth Convention Center arena is slated to be torn down soon to add more exhibit space. A lot of rock and roll royalty performed in that iconic building and I'll be very sad to see it go. Keep up the great work!

Your video's are a fascinating insight into Elvis' concert appearances in the 70s. Just to see the dressing rooms, hotels and other venues he would visit whilst on tour is a real treat for us fans, and your commentaries are informative and well researched. It's also great to see that people working at these arenas and hotels have been generous with their time to let you film the footage. Keep up the good work guys. Best wishes from the UK !

i was at Elvis' concert in 1974 in Abilene Texas ... i still have my partial ticket stub along with my scarf that was ripped at the concert ...... but the concert in 1974 was also at this Coliseum that you have the picture of not at the expo center as you stated .... I remember standing in line with my mother to purchase those tickets at the coliseum .... thank you for the trip down memory lane :)

You guys a great production here, and with all the snippets you really get a feeling what it was like being there. Really good to see the ticket prices sheet, its only recently I learned how cheap his tickets were, set by Elvis I think. Can only construed that this was just for fans. This is one reason he had to tour more and why I believe Mr Parker still being exclusive to Elvis went 50/50. If Elvis charged like others at the time it would be at least 3 times the price and if he charge his worth it be 8 times the price. Elvis truly lived for his fans and people continue to pay him back that commitment.

Thank you for your insight! Your comments are spot on. We have always believed that Elvis would go wherever he needed to go to get to the people. Regardless of venue size.

Probably around 15 years ago, I found a European web site that collected from Elvis fans the info from his concerts starting in 69 to 77. Where the concert was, along with the date and time. Pictures fans took, what songs he sang, what jumpsuit he wore, what the band even was wearing and the ticket stubs. I found two black and white photos from my concert and the info. I was so happy!! I do wish they were color pics but I am still happy I found them. I was 15 when I went to my one and only Elvis concert. We didn’t have much money and I did not own a camera, besides I had to take binoculars so the pics would not have turned out very well anyway. Back when I found the black and white pics on the internet I remember telling my son who was probably around 13 at the time, that I really wish they were in color. (The evening show someone posted colored pics from that same time, but not from my concert. )My son told me, after I said I wish I could find colored pics, “ Mom, they didn’t have color pics back then” like I was so ancient! I did not think he was funny. Lol. I also have an FTD cd from my concert that was recorded. I bought it from Graceland a year ago. It brought back even more memories. I had remembered so much of what happened in my concert from years ago, but the cd did bring back even more memories. The only reason I knew about the cd was from David who has the Elvisistheman channel on fb and instagram. He bought it and was telling about it. He has bought several, from different Elvis concerts. Great sound quality too. I would never have dreamed back in 1974 that I would one day own a recording of the concert I saw that day. I am blessed. The little 15 yr old, who was so in love with that man that after the concert and he left the building, I told my friend who went with me, I have to sit here a few minutes to just reflect and breath the same air that he did! Lol. It was on Father’s Day, June 16th 1974 at the 3 pm show in Ft. Worth, Tx. He had only one show scheduled, but it sold out extremely fast, then another was added and then two more that weekend. I don’t know how people ever got lucky enough to sit up front because I hurried to go downtown and get in line, but like I said, I was up in the balcony on the side of the stage. My memories from the concert: Since I sat up high and on the side, I could see the Cadillac drive up behind the curtain and Elvis got out. I screamed and scared the people around me. Lol. The sweet inspirations were on stage singing. He had trouble with his cape, so he didn’t wear it out on stage. I still to this day remember him walking around back stage and seeing his hand on the rail of the steps behind the stage where he would be walking up. I still can see that hand. That’s all I could see was his hand from where he was standing. They started playing the 2001 Space Odyssey music and he burst out on stage. Everyone was screaming, especially me. Lol. He was electrifying. You could feel the love from the fans to him and him to us. An AMAZING concert that I will always treasure. The most intense concert I ever went to.

I have learned recently that Elvis had stopped wearing his capes on stage by the time I saw him. But I do remember someone fooling with something on his jumpsuit. Must have been his collar. I do wish I could have been close to the stage but if I had been, I would not have the memories I have of seeing him behind the curtain. Grateful for those memories.
