You know The Bell Auditorium here in Augusta Georgia is where Elvis performed in 1956 3 months before The Ed Sullivan Show is still here if You want to film it. He performed 2 Shows here 3 months apart and a Young 12 year old Brenda Lee was backstage to meet him. After the Concert He took a Cab and ate at Luigi's Steak House and it's still in business today. Come on down Guys!!!
A bit late to the party, great video and nice seeing the news report. That would’ve been great had he managed another twenty years…! Thank you for all your hard work, really enjoy your posts 😊
A bit too much interruptions and explanations. I enjoyed the video very much but would have liked to just watch it uninterrupted and then maybe some discussion at the end. But thanks for the content.
Had my autograph book and got some amazing people to sign from Uncle Vester, George Klien, D,J. Fontana, Janelle McComb, Ginger Alden, Ed Parker and others. I have fun thumbing through it now and then.
Great information and I concur with everything you said. Thank you for showing the book about Elvis spots-I hadn’t seen that before and ordered it before the end of your video. I would add that Lauderdale Courts offers tours of the Presley apartment during Elvis Week for under $20 (as of 2023). Thank you for all the work you and your dad do for the Elvis legacy.
Great tips and info for Memphis week. I can't be there unfortunately but I definitely would be going to the Travel lodge hotel and buying some Keith Alverson photos. Hope you get a chance to do some live videos for all the Elvis fans who can't be there. Hope you and your dad have a great time. Thank you for a great video Michael. TCB⚡️
Elvis always entered with Also sprach Zarathustra playing. The song had already been used in 2001: A Space Odyssey, which was an MGM movie. So was Elvis On Tour. MGM had a kind of competition rule in effect about 2 of their movies using the same music. Since 2001: A Space Odyssey came out in 1968, MGM wouldn't let it be used in Elvis On Tour (1972) even though it was actually playing in the background. MGM insisted this lame music be dubbed over it. Just an interesting bit of trivia for those of you who recognized something wasn't quite right here.
I was glad to see this video on Fayetteville, NC, because I had tickets to this show-really good about 3 rd row. But sadly it was not to be. Jay, you & Michael keep up the good work…….so hard to believe it’s been 47 years ago!! Loved this! Keep up the good work, guys!!
You did a tremendous job on this video. You really did your homework on this one you doted all the I’s and crossed all the T’s on the video. Fabulous ,Fabulous ,Fabulous job
