Was at Woodstock '94 in NY, but really wish I was at this one to listen to Elvis C! He rocks...esp. luv Allison, Veronica, and Every Day I Write the Book!! Hey Elvis... you need to make a song about Suzanne ...hehe peace ppl...
I just watched the Netflix doc Trainwreck: Woodstock 99. Indeed it was a serious deluxe edition shitshow. But amongst it all, Elvis Costello provided some wonderful shade and light
I'm a huge Elvis fan but it's his fault for not knowing how to get to a young crowd. He should have brought in a full band and played his upbeat punky early songs and his experimental early 90's stuff. Coming on stage bare bones guarantees a crowd, that has been baking in the sun and is high as shit and has seen a bunch of bands already and will for more hours to come, will not be that engaged.
@@cactaceous Correct. A full band playing Complicated Shadows, Pump It Up, Oliver's Army, Tokyo Storm Warning, Radio Radio, What's so Funny etc would've done the trick
As much as I like Elvis C. did not care for this, maybe its just the place and setting, Woodstock 94 was joke and 99 was a bigger joke! with all the chaos and destruction that went down total disrespect.
