Elvis played my hometown of Greenville, Texas in 1955 and the building, Municipal Auditorium, is still standing. I saw Harry James and Count Basie there in the early 1970s. Still have their autographs!

Another awesome video. I can't believe the shell of the building actually exists and you got in. It would be nice to see if EPE had paperwork for all these events. Like IRS filings, etc. I wonder how much the boys made for this event? It's pretty sweet that a young George Jones was there too. I hadn't realized they crossed paths. His voice was different when he was young. Even Austin Butler said so. Said it was changed so much.

I was going to go see Elvis in Austin Texas. I think it was 1976. My cousin asked me if I wanted her to get me a ticket and we could Go? I said yes. So she got the tickets. And the day before the show she said her husband wanted to go. So I didn’t fuss. I hadn’t paid her yet for the ticket. She died a couple of yrs ago. I never got to go see Elvis.

Man I love these episodes showing where Elvis played in the early days when the building is still standing. You can almost put yourself there and imagine what it might have been like. Very cool Trey, thanks man.

They just don’t lay good wooden floors like that anymore. If there’s plenty of parking, it could make a great venue again, restaurant, a club. But obviously depends on the area.

No way my two favorite of all time in one room. I always wondered if George Jones ever met Elvis now I know. I got to meet jones twice and play a song backstage at country Tonight pigeon forge one of the times.. they are my two favorites of all time if I have to put a third it be hank williams sr.

@GlobetrottingWithTrey that's awesome. My father recently passed on November 16th before Thanksgiving it's been tough holidays. He got me into Mr. Presley at a young age. He was his favorite along with hank sr. He was my best friend. I play alot of his Elvis earlier music at local restaurants. If you're ever near newport tn. Give me a shout. Love you and spa guys stuff! Much love. Keep me and my mom in your prayers.
