Keep the Closet Picks coming!! 🥰🥰🥰 Burnett is genius, as is Dexter Gordon... _Miller's Crossing_ is absolutely one of the great Coen films, and a classic of the 1990s.

Good to see the Criterion asking film critics to come by the Criterion Closet and choose their personal favorite films or films they would love to see.

I would totally be on board with Elvis In The Closet being a regular show.

I never once made any kind of correlation between Miller's Crossing and The Spirit but that is a brilliant take that I now want someone to try their hand at.

Wow. Mitchell has aged since last I saw him on TV. The Melvin Van Peebles box set is a good choice. I need to watch Badass Song again. Also, the Parallax View is a very 70s film that reflects the paranoia related to distrust of government at the time.

Actually, Dexter Gordon was in a 1954 film "Unchained", a prison film starring LA Take receiver Elroy Hirsch & Chester Morris. Dexter was in a sequence playing in the prison band, an actual inmate.

His Christopher Nolan dark knight trilogy treatment interviewers were just amazing!

Parallax View is a good flick, but there are 2 generic, routine, inexplicable scenes that crack me up, the bar fight and the car chase. WTF. Think the screenwriter was padding the flick.
