I really love Elvis being relaxed and chill. Yes he had a since of humor. That man is to this day the most beautiful man ever to walk this earth. So good looking
God he was the most gorgeous man that ever lived and with gods singing voice,truly sad Elvis light burned out far to fast,but was a warning stay away from drugs.
It's awesome to see that everyone still loves my cousin to this day even though he's been gone since 1977. I'm happy to see his legacy live on in his daughter and grandchildren and other family members and fans and his music,movies and music videos and concerts

I grew up in that genre & it is excellent to see young folks watching these artists who were so comfortable & relaxed in their vocals because they didn't need to scream to be heard. Nice to see a young lady such as yourself smiling so openly with infectious charm in answer to his music. .
Yea, ‘68 special! Elvis in black leather! He was a funny man, this whole concert was so much fun...don’t stop. This full concert was just re-released on Amazon.
Hi from Tupelo Mississippi, Elvis's birthplace and childhood home. There are still a lot of Presleys in the area and those family genes are strong. A few cousins look like Elvis and it certainly startles the tourists!😁
I had a lifesize picture of Elvis on my bedroom door. 550 pictures on wall. Big red letters ELVIS some Pictures framed some just taped to wall. Until my mom wanted to paint. Sad day
you have to realize that this was his comeback after being in the military. he wasn't initially sure how people would take him after his absence (or if they would take him at all!)so he started out nervous. when he starts cracking jokes and laughing with his musicians is when you see the real Elvis Presley and when the magic really happens.

This was 8 years after he was discharged from the army. He made movies (too many of them) during the whole of the 60’s, and his career really was at it’s lowest. This TV special was one of the most watched Tv programs of 1968, and reminded people on how great Elvis could be, given the chance. His real return to the pop/rock world was finalised the year after (1969). Global hits like Suspicious Minds, In the ghetto and Don’t Cry, Daddy, propelled him right back into the public eye.

Simply K.Simone and Honi Mama.James Bova here.I forgot to mention regarding Elvis Presley that there are two videocassettes (which are old).They were sold in Ma and Pa Videostores such as LION VIDEO.We had a shitload of them in Illinois.Pardon my French,Lol.The first is "The '68 Comeback Special" with Elvis sitting on the stage (as You see) with his musicians who are also his Friends.All songs for this program sung by ELVIS.The second program was called "One Night With You" which was a different show with Elvis in the black leather outfit singing his songs but also Elvis in scenes like a small play( production) which is very entertaining.My favorite part is when he is standing on a platform with steps with 3 ladies singing"Where Could I Go" (But To The Lord).Elvis loved Gospel music and it was also in his arsenal of music.There is also a 3 disc(DVD)set of this whole thing from both of these programs with mistakes, outtakes and more.Distributed in 2002.It is titled ELVIS THE '68' Comeback Special.Also these 2 programs are on the internet.Its ELVIS FEVER,CATCH IT!!GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU.JAMES BOVA
"Elvis Presley - I Got A Woman (Live) [HD]" is a video that shows some great humor from Elvis as he blasts through a rhythm & blues classic; it was filmed during the summer of 1970 for his "Elvis: That's The Way It Is" concert film.
This is a great rendition of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" because we get to see Elvis having a good time ! However, you really ought to listen to his original( some say"vintage" ) rendition, where he speaks during the song! He is just amazing ! It starts out with ,"I wonder if you are lonesome tonight ...."! It is a wonderfully romantic little speech delivered with Elvis' own soulful, heartfelt inimitable amazing voice! You will love it! Thanks for your reaction! Eventhough Elvis has been gone for 43 years , he gets more & more fans all the time, today & beyond!!

One of the few artists to truly cross the race barrier. Go to India and you'll still find Elvis impersonators. Go to Russia and you find them. Go into a ghetto and he's loved. A musical great.

Elvis was the real deal. He was one of the greats!!. I'm a musician and the first act I played when I was 16 was an Elvis impersonator. He loved The KIng. Playing his music was a great experience. I'll always miss him.
The day Elvis died, I was driving to my college to get my physical for football, when it came across the radio that Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll is dead. This was the song they played after announcing his death. RIP E.

This is from his '68 Comeback Special. He had been making movies since the late 50's and was getting back into touring. The part of this song where he hummed, was actually supposed to be a spoken part. You should look up more of that special.

I believe he was talking to his wife when he said " man she is pretty" she was in the audience and was her first time seeing him perform on stage. Elvis was 100% authentic-much like the other legends Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn etc.. modern music cannot hold a candle to the past legends.

( there is a picture of her in the audience-she is sitting in the back) “Seeing him look so good and do what he loved best was quite a sight,” Presley recalls. “You would have thought I was a fan. I wasn’t jumping or yelling but a quiet fan with a smile on my face, thinking, ‘Oh, my gosh, you still have it!’” I know how nervous he was. He didn’t have any confidence and couldn’t remember the stories he said at the rehearsal. He asked [director] Steve Binder to cancel the show. But Steve said, “Just go out there and talk and have fun.” [At the taping] you never would have known [he was nervous]. I think the first words he said were, “It’s been a long time, baby.” His confidence shocked everyone - even the audience, who didn’t know what to expect. He had them under control in about five minutes. And to see the girls be captivated by him was very endearing.
Well then...I stand corrected. I had always heard that she wasn't. I had heard thay she and her sister Michelle were asked by Elvis to be there....you know kind of to put him more at ease...he was nervous as hell doing this show, but that she did not go. I do know that Elvis basically lived at the studio durimg filming....he had a cot in his dressing room and would sleep there a lot of nights
