Hi David what cool video Elvis Presley Auctions in Japan #5: records, 8-track, posters, CDs, promos thankyou let know cool things on elvis keep up cool work on elvis look forword more great things on elvis
Hi dave one or two bargains there, a dont buy on line much, a go on ebay occasionally if there's an item a like al bid but more often than not am outbid ,some o the prices there were eye watering but it shows quality EL items are still in demand n always will be for me ,av been buying from acoustic sounds of recent OK ya paying retail prices n there's the postage cost for shipping which can be a lot ,then the import tax but the items are top drawer ,the posters you featured were expensive but the 50s ones must be rare now as a suppose some o the 60s as well ,av not been a poster collector so a wouldn't really know wats rare or not but there an art form in tha own right n love the colours o the 50s n 60s one ,enjoyed the video dave take care ,tony 👍
Hi Tony. Yes, it's good to see that there's still a lot of interest in Elvis rarities. The '50s posters are indeed rare, way out of my price range. When you get to the '60s posters, you're looking at tens of pounds rather than hundreds. That's the kind of thing I would only get if it came along at a bargain price, whereas I have gone mad on occasion buying records. Cheers, Tony.
The Gibson J200 was customised in '61. There were a limited edition of 250 made by Gibson. A guitar shop had one recently in London for about £6,500. I don't spend this sort of money on records, the most I spent was £40 I think for a Jerry Lewis LP. Like some of the 45 EP's and the Japanese Kissin' Cousins album.
A guitar shop in London. It could have been the one I used to work in. I must admit, I've spent a few hundred dollars on individual records on several occasions. Thanks for watching!
Hey David my dear friend, how are you ? hope everything is good :) thank you for another great video, now those are great items, i really wish i could get the Clambake with the red OBI from 1969, ive only seen it once and i missed it unfortunatly , also the rare Pink OBI of the LS Elvis is Back, wow ! thanks, cheers , your friend: Lior
Hi, Lior. Yes, all good, thanks. I hope you're doing well. Those albums you mentioned are ones I'd love to own too. Even more than the mono Elvis Is Back, I'd love to get the stereo one with its beautiful yellow obi. Cheers, Lior.
Some interesting items there my friend, disappointing prices for the CDs oh well things may change! Have you seen the movie yet? I went the other day, it’s brilliant! stay safe!
Great time to be buying CDs though. I've got a couple coming in the mail today, actually. I haven't seen the film, no. It's not showing near where I live. It seems very popular with fans. Cheers, Mal.
Some real good looking records, alot of them never seen before. Just wonder since the new ELVIS BIO is out if the prices of his records and cds will go up? By the way I went to the theater here in the states and saw the ELVIS movie , it's very good.
The movie is out in Japan so there could be more interest in Elvis' music going forward. I hope so. Glad you liked it. Most fans seem to think it's very good. Thanks for watching!
Very interesting items, love that promo of TTWII, wish I had that one 😖. I collect everything that has to do with TTWII. The promised land album is also on my wanted list. Keep up the good work David.
I missed some of those auctions by a few days or by a few hours. Anyway I did eventually win a panel deluxe. But won another aloha JP cd4 lp. I prefer this packaging as it's similar to the Aloha JP release. As you said and I agree is one of the best packaging of a Elvis album. Compared to the USA cd4 lp release was the bonus inner picture sleeves of a live cut out image of Elvis dancing with hawaiian girls in a beach setting.
The US inner sleeves are quite cheesy with that pasted-on photo of Elvis between the Hawaiian women. Elvis deserved better, especially considering the historic nature of the concert. Thanks for watching!
If you would like to have everything then it would be very expensive to be an ELVIS fan. 😀 I would have had use for that Gibson acoustic guitar but its price would have been waaaaaaay out of my price range. 😬 By the way are there available any Elvis releases on SACD or DVD-AUDIO format which would have multi-channel mixes? There are those quadraphonic LPs so it would be interesting to hear how those 4 channel versions would sound like when transferred to modern formats. I like to collect multi-channel mixes of the albums when possible. Nice auction action, Jarkko/MyVinylBar
I know what you mean about the guitar. I'd also be nervous about owning it. I wouldn't want to play it for fear of damaging it. I'd worry about how to store it properly. I bet it sound glorious, though. The only DVD-audio CD I know of is the 30 #1 Hits. I think it has black artwork instead of the usual gold. Cheers, Jarkko.
Hi Andrew. Yes, you can view the site. It's auctions.yahoo.co.jp/# It's a Japanese site but even if you just type Elvis Presley in English in the search field, you'll be able to see many auctions. You can also bid on the auctions through companies such as www.jauce.com/ and buyee.jp/ From what I understand, it can work out quite expensive with two lots of shipping fees, commission and import taxes.
@@ElvisPresleyInJapan Ok thanks, and yea it would have to be an amazing deal to trying and bid/win a auction. Would be fun to be a spectator though lol. I see alot of new stuff in your videos.
