Great performance I discovered the genius of Elvis later in life . I don’t think horns and rock and roll mix except for maybe a sax. r & r is mostly about fun not serious lyrics either Im just a hunk a hunk of burnin LOVE! Lol
@Napolion Dynmomite this wasn't one of his most favorite songs by any means. he showed more energy in every other part of the performance. even without energy, he ruled his stage and his audience. it was about his voice and looks. he had both.
But do you know the poor guy gets shot up with Crystal Matt? That way he can do three shows in three days and look that way Hitler never got out of bed without a shot out crystal meth
Oh yeah the King of Rock n roll but th ers ultimately 1st and only King is Jesus Christ but I get what you're saying Brother and but in essence in reality that Elvis Presley s is still one of the best singers of all next to others I'm a classic all guy pretty much open to traditional stuff cause I was raised on the stuff and pretty much stay that way I guess but no wrong no shame but some new songs are good but pretty much the classic also are pretty better for now too me.have a nice day a stay safe=sanitize everything in your household including washers and dryers and stay away more than 55 or feet from every body including people and bars of over 300 Dial antibacterial soap period at Walgreens brother and make it known too as many and beyond that many much people as u can including your family etc God bless ya and Amen. Nickname=GLVIS
The dumbest person of Our Times is Donald Trump and my prayers for him to get a vaccine to heal and cure all of the sick people of Our Land now period and by the way Happy 85th birthday Elvis Presley above
Wish so but if you kw there's only one religion in the world like it or not IT'S Islam yes Go search and you will find evidences i wish all the people will know that
IF this is In January 1973, My grandparents while on their honeymoon In Honolulu were there. Grandma is a huge Elvis fan, and that was the only time they saw him perform live. My grandfather surprised her with tickets to see Elvis. My grandma talked about this for years saying it was the best gift he ever got her. Although she suffers from dementia, she can still remember the songs. I will show her this video
Elvis 🕺🏼 Presley is a good musician, He will forever lives in our hearts 💕 I love all his songs I wish I could attend his concerts🤗🤗 HAVE you been to his concerts before?
And to think that this *GORGEOUS* Man died just 4 years after this, WOW!! What a huge difference. Between 1973, and 1977. Just 4 years apart. *RIP Elvis Presley* Gone but he will never be forgotten. Such a shame they will never be another *Elvis Presley* *BEAUTIFUL* Man.❤
Im only really discovering Elvis myself as he passed on before my time, but looking at this amazing scenes from the late 60s to early 70s and then seeing the stuff from his final concerts just 4 years later.........its unbelievable the deterioration in his physical condition over such a short period of time. I know drugs played a big part in his death, and in the later videos his eyes look a bit dazed and spacey. I dunno, it just seems like he looked after a lot of people, and Ive read about his generosity which was legendary, but it seemed like nobody looked after him. Like Muhammed ali, he had a lot of folks hanging around him all looking to get a bite, not many willing to give.
@FatCatGaming I'm someone who unironically calls Chuck Berry the Holy Father, for he is the Holy Father of Rock 'n' Roll, even before he parted ways with the material living. Besides, don't you know? Legends never die.
My grandmother was a huge Elvis Fan and now that she passed away I find myself listening to him alot more. I know when she passed away and went to heaven she probably rushed just to meet Elvis cx I miss her dearly but I hope when my time comes she'll be there waiting for me along with my other grandparents.
Elvis defo Met her, elvis will meet me too, me and my gran has deep discussion about Christ and her love of elvis, Elvis love of Christ has bring us closer, the non religious believe we are stupid
My grandparents all died before I was born, but one of my grandmas loved elvis and her dad didn't like it. My dad told me. This grandma I feel would have been everything to me. I look exactly like her when she was ny age. I like the same kind if dog as her I love elvis like she did. Can't wait to meet her with my other grandparents in heaven.
@Gareth Davies It is none of your business. He is not writing he is actually criticizing her for typing in caps. If she likes to type in caps that is her preference. I don't care if people like to type in caps, and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way just to tell a stupid thing as he did. He needs to mind his own business, capisce?
The world has been sadder since Elvis left. We (his fans) were cheated when God called him home way too soon. But imagine that in heaven Elvis has been reunited with his parents, his twin brother, Lisa Marie and her son Ben. Someday we may reach heaven and get to hear all the angels sing. You know Elvis would be chief among that number.
I was so blessed to see him in concert the year he passed away. What a dream to see such sexy eye candy in person. His voice was always amazing. Gone too soon. ❤❤❤
At around 00:40. Elvis does the fadeout manually by just speaking into the microphone. It stuns me that Elvis was just as good on a live recording as he ever was in a studio. Nobody can replicate that. Nobody.
He is a pop culture reference in a lot more than Lilo and Stitch. Every movie with Hawaiian culture usually gives a nod to Elvis. The song at end of Game Plan with the Rock is dedicated to Elvis and is Burning love
One of his movies is literally called Blue Hawaii (1961) and the artwork of the soundtrack album, which includes Can't Help Falling In Love, is the same picture Lilo shows Stitch lol. Not only these examples, but also in 1961, he performed for a benefit concert to raise money for the Pearl Harbor Memorial, his last concert for 7 years.
I watched this video in a bar as a very young marine serving in a MAU in the Med (Spain) during the 80s. I was proud of Elvis, Reagan, and always a proud American. The Spaniards loved him too. The patrons all stopped to watch. One handsome and talented man. Oh, and that killer voice.
what do you like Reagan for he's a prick we in the uk are fed up of our government being your pissing puppet 9 11 had nothing to do with the uk.and blair sent us to war for 20 years in middle east.have a nice day mate.

I saw him twice in concert. I was obsessed. Still am. He’s a legend. Breaks my heart what was done to him. He just wanted to sing and make his fans happy.
I saw his movie with my wife 2 nights ago and I was very close to cry in front of my wife and thank God I did not . I wanna watch it again . That movie made me realize that it doesn’t matter how many decades ago or how many decades in the future the scumbags who take advantage of good people will always be around !
Amazing fact that the bass player here Jerry Scheff also played the bass on THE DOORS - LOVE HER MADLY . . . . One very funky Bass Player at the top ofnhis game . . . . incredible session musician
It's sometimes hard to really grasp how COMPLETE Elvis was. That voice, his musicianship, his beauty, his hunour, his humanity. Truly a god on earth for the all too brief time we had him here.
Princess Diana, John F. Kennedy, Jr., Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and Lauren Bessette are ALIVE. There’s also a long list of celebrities, entrepreneurs and others including David Bowie, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams, Steve Jobs, and Whitney Houston who are alive, too. There are many more whose names are not listed. Over time, each one of them joined International Witness Protection Programs for protection. Yes, they went into hiding to protect the lives of loved ones and themselves from unimaginable evil. Now, they’re ready to come out and share their stories with the world. However, you can imagine that they want to do so in the best way possible considering that they had to leave their families, friends, and careers behind. This is where WE COME IN. I’m urging you to share this news with family, friends and in every forum possible (for example, fan websites, Instagram, TikTok, RU-vid, wherever you can). Post messages of Greetings and Love to any of the people on the list. Let’s show them that we are anxious to see them again and are willing to respectfully allow each one of them the opportunity to tell their own stories. As you can imagine, this is a really BIG DEAL for all of these folks.
I remember watching this concert when I was a kid, all the family sitting down watching TV. My dad blurted out as you all know that I'm not a puff ( gay ) but he's one handsome bloke. Lost my dad 2 years ago and that comment he made still makes me laugh. God bless him and Elvis .
Elvis 🕺🏼 Presley is a good musician, He will forever lives in our hearts 💕 I love all his songs I wish I could attend his concerts🤗🤗 HAVE you been to his concerts before?
as far as male musicians he is hands down the best looking man in the history of solo acts and i don't have a "thing" for him or any guy but i can see also lol
Saw Elvis in Cleveland 1971 and he was LIT! Public Hall was on 🔥, I was 17 and in the front row! That was the highlight of my life besides my daughters birth. Rock on Elvis 💖
Elvis 🕺🏼 Presley is a good musician, He will forever lives in our hearts 💕 I love all his songs I wish I could attend his concerts🤗🤗 HAVE you been to his concerts before?
As I watch this I realize there can never be another musician like Elvis. Just the way he broke through in the conservative 50’s and changed the whole scene. I don’t want to say it’s all been done now, but when he did it the landscape was wide open. Same with the Beatles for example. Kind of sad to think will never be legends to that level ever again.
We might, once the cash machine of the modern music industry finally breaks down. The problem/beautiful thing with vacuous, artificially-catchy, disposable condom bands like the kind that were popular... exactly 10 years ago, is that they can't maintain their momentum. Iron Maiden played to anywhere between 100,000 and 250,000 people at Rock in Rio 1985. Then they played to even MORE people in Rock in Rio 2001 around 350,000. Meanwhile, the pop acts of the early 2010s, most of which I'm sure you've forgotten about, couldn't outdraw even the lowest estimate of Maiden's crowd. Acts like Maiden have only gotten bigger with time. The pop princesses of yesteryear can only stagnate, because they're not in charge of their music. Thus, they can't evolve and grow.
was Elvis a musician? By definition a musician is some one who can read and write music and play an instrument. Some one who plays an instrument does not have the ability to read and write music but paly an instrument is just another person.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 well for one thing he has a guitar. Last I checked that’s an instrument. Second, I consider the voice an instrument. Either way it’s splitting hairs. Musician, entertainer - whatever. The guy was a legend.
I wonder the worth of those rings on his fingers and the suit. I watched his first movie, Love Me Tender, at the Carlton Theater in South L.A. It made an impression on me not only because of the song but the couple in front of me were going wild with kissing and hugging.
Elvis was blessed with the looks, the great voice. He could do magnificent things with his voice. It's as though his voice were an instrument. Elvis is the greatest entertainer of all time.
This man was burning love. He'll set any woman on fire. He's just a hunk hunk hunk of burning love. We all love you and miss you 💘 Wish so bad you were still with us. Impossible. Dream to this day. Elvis what more can. I say. Love you so much. It breaks my heart you b even gone. It's been 45 years since you been. Gone and it seems like yesterday. Gone but never forgotten ever ❤ RIP IN HEAVEN ELVIS PRESLEY. See you in paradise hopefully one day
"Elvis Presley is the greatest cultural force in the twentieth century. He introduced the beat to everything, music, language, clothes; he is a whole new social revolution. Because of him a man like me barely knows his musical grammar any more" (Leonard Bernstein)
I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT AN AMAZING VOICE THIS MAN HAD. IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO DO ANY SONG LESS THAN INCREDIBLE. EVERY TIME HE COVERED ANOTHER ARTISTS SONGS, IT WAS BETTER...BY FAR. AND THE GOOD LOOKS TO GO ALONG WITH THE VOICE. I REMEMBER GETTING DUMPED IN A FEW PAST RELATIONSHIPS, BUT THEN I REMEMBER THAT PRISCILLA DUMPED ELVIS FOR AN IMPOVERISHED KARATE INSTRUCTOR (MIKE STONE). IF IT CAN HAPPEN TO HIM...WE ALL SHOULDN'T FEEL TOO BAD. GOD BLESS
@@reefkayoss in terms of selling music michael jackson has sold 750 million records, and elvis 1 billion which makes him the most sold artist of all time, but michael jackson is better dancer
@@aaafingerboarding yeh but Elvis also recorded way, waaaay more albums thn MJ...anyway i love both of em so i wont argue wit anyone who says Elvis is King jus as i wont argue against MJ being top dog either...tho i think the Beatles have sold more records thn Elvis and MJ....doesnt really mean anything tho...record sales are not a good way of measuring talent...Ed Sheeran has sold 10s of millions of albums n he sucks!!
Having been stationed at pearl from 2006-2014 I embraced the ‘Aina and loved every minute of it. When I would drive by the Blaisdell, I would blast burning love.
baby saige how am I jealous of someone who is overrated his music isn’t even that good. So much better artists than him he’s only the king of a trash genre and I almost fell asleep listening to his trash music
baby saige when you have nothing to trash to it seems to appear as gold doesn’t it? He was good for his time but now his music is trash compared to every other artist
my boyfriend calls me crazy for singing along to these songs but I grew up listening to Elvis thanks to my grandmother and I watched Lilo and Stitch a lot when I was a kid and they introduced me to Elvis, I absolutely love listening to him. I wish I could have seen him in concert though
I remember watching this with my family. It was the biggest television event ever. I think it was one of the first concerts shown all over the world at the time.
I'm not sure. I am55 years old and I was listening to Elvis and other music from the 1950s when I was a small child. My mother had many 45s and I had my own record player that I shared with my sister. We also had every album that Elvis made. The same is true with Johnny Cash and the Beatles. Instead of going to Florida on Spring Break one year, my roommate and I drove to Memphis and went to Graceland. I was also married in Memphis at the Chapel of the Elvis Impersonator with a Japanese Elvis impersonator and a Pricella Presley impersonator. I owned a velvet Elvis that I bought on a street side in 1984 or so. And how long have you been a fan?
