I can only imagine the amount of pain he was in, physically, emotionally and mentally but he preformed his heart, like, no pun intended, it was his last night on earth. The movie definitely gave me more depth to how tragic and mislead Elvis life was.
@@fortsquadder4246 I bet he's still playing songs in heaven and people dance to it I just picture going to heaven and seeing Elvis on stage and people dancing and I just join them in the dance.
I know he was the greatest it seemed like as he got older his voice got more powerful it's weird. Up until all the way he died. He will always be the greatest ever
Isn't that something? Testament to pure unadulterated talent from a gorgeous man who absolutely loved music and conveyed that in all he did. It is such a sad ending brought on in big measure by a con artist who took such advantage if a trusting and naive soul. Seems like all tge good ones die way too young.
My beautiful wife, Cheryl, who passed way 13 weeks ago after almost 54 years of marriage, and I loved this song. I cried in the theater when he sang this and "I Will Always Love You" while watching the movie "Elvis," the other day.
Sorry for your loss, at least you have all of those beautiful memories. Music is such a powerful thing, it can amplify emotions so much. God bless mate
❤❤❤ I have always been a Big Fan of Elvis Presley, since I was 9 Year's old; I'm now 65, I was so Heart- Broken to Learn of his passing, to this day I still wonder what had happened to him, not knowing this would be his last performance, I get all emotional I cry every time I watch him sing this Beautiful Song !!🌹 He Was such an amazing Singer !!! LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!! Mr. PRESLEY 🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹💔🌹❤️🌹💔🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹
I'm same as your age, when my Father (Tatay) brought a lot of vinyl albums from Guam, US.. first thing that I played in our Philips HiFi Stereo system is ELVIS, and my Mother (Nanay) loves it.❤
The way he smiles and looks for reassurance and comfort cripples me. He was and still is the most loved man in the world and yet he looks like he felt so alone. 😞
You can just tell he gave it his all into that song. The sweat, his facial expressions just showed he was truly an artist who gave everything during a show. We lost his grandson two years ago what a shame a branch of his family is gone.
Yes and now he's with his grandpa singing more as he gets to know his grandson who shows so much resemblence of that Presley look, he'd be proud and happy to know his grandson.......finally with lots of love still in his heart.
@@babekane08 the grandson let himself go. Elvis wouldn’t be proud. Just look at Elvis and the grandson at the same age. There’s no comparing. Elvis had class.
I just about balled my eyes out at the movie theatre yesterday to watch Elvis play live at this last concert before his death. I saw such pain in his eyes, yet he sang like an angel. 😭
I just saw the movie again and going to go again on Monday. Yes I cried too. I had the good fortune to see 4 live performances. Bigger than life. Can’t put into words how awesome he was.
He gave everything until he couldn`t give more, he looked sick , how nobody realize it...he lived for working and his fans...the most handsome, talented and charming man that has ever existed.
Everyone realized he was a massive drug and food addict. Everyone. The public saw him talk without making sense and get fat as shit. His entourage saw him be a drug addled mess. His doctors saw him be a drug addled mess and kept cutting him off. Tom Parker saw him as a drug addled mess and exploited him to bankroll his own gambling addiction. His ex wife saw him as a drug addled mess and left him. We all realized it. Where were you?
Seriously people go see the film Elvis, Austin Butler deserves the beat actor Oscar for his amazing performance. And this performance of Unchained Melody is both heartbreaking and a hairs on the back of your neck moment.
He was incredibly sick, and he did it all to himself. I saw him in 1976, and I was in the third row, and I was stunned at how bad he looked. He looked worse than he did here!
I always felt sorry for Elvis once he became so popular he did not have a life no more privacy, that must have been tough to handle... But Elvis will always be the King of rock and roll forever!!
Elvis died when I was only 5 months old. But it feels like he never died, as my parents kept his music alive for my whole childhood. My favourite to his day! The movie was excellent!
I hope he returns back from that island with Michael Jackson. The w.. world is not the same without them. Like the colors or the flavors are not there anymore.
No matter if you're a KING, you'll always be controlled by forces stronger than you. In the music field the big music corporations profit from artists all the time; they even have the power to destroy you. Once you're gone they still profit from you. Elvis you were the best, and they knew that.
My husband and I saw Elvis in Vegas in his prime...and then again in Vegas about 3 months before he died. What a performer and singer! I loved both performances of his that we saw. He is forever the KING! 👍👍. No one can compare...
I was young the day he died, my mom herd it on the radio, pulled into the garage, told me and my brother to go into the house and she wept for an hour. What a powerful impact he had on that generation
@@cargoload1324 they was a generation of soul that's when you know they had something special unlike these fake wanna be celebrity's we have now days. The celebs now days are so watered down and full of shit with no soul its impossible to miss.
anybody that has battled addiction … his awesomeness shines through this .. his last song ever sung and last time you hear “Elvis has left the building” precious to me🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wow...I cannot help but cry when I listen to this song! Yesterday, I saw the movie with Austin Butler about Elvis' life. After that movie, I started missing Elvis so much again as if he had passed away only yesterday. The movie was incredible ❤️
I was 10 years old when he died and I remember crying n crying. Loved him and his voice so much , all his movies , ect. Went out next day w my dad and bought my first Elvis record. Played it continuously. He was truly the king. We all mourned that day.
It's sad when a child loses his hero. Not the same like losing a loved family member, but feels almost like losing a close friend. I was a grown man when Chester from Linkin Park died, but he was my favorite singer when I was a teenager and I still drop a tear from time to time, when watch music videos of Linkin Park. He sang mostly about his inner pain and trauma...can't hear my hero of my teenage days without hearing him telling everyone how miserable he felt all the time. So, I guess I feel you.
He and Johnny Depp have the same kind of smile that is just totally irresistible. The same quirky way they smile just gets me every time! One in 10 million for both of them.
I just love that smile he had just so sweet! He should have felt that we would ever forget. I am a black woman.. i love watching his movie. So handsome!! He will never be forgotten. He loved God too!
Elvis Presley never dies. There are only two men that still ( until this day) are the Greatest singers/ performers and broke all the records. First was Elvis then MJ. The two most successful artists of all time in the music industry. Two men that made music for everyone regardless of the color of someone’s skin. It’s so sad that a few days ago there was still a person on this planet who looked so much like Elvis and carried his genes and somehow, that person used to make me feel that part of Elvis was still living and walking on this earth. His beautiful daughter Lisa Marie. Gone too soon just like her Dad.
Elvis never thought a whole lot of himself. He gave and gave. When the love of his life left him , he went straight downhill. T he drugs took over and he gave up. I loved him and hope when he got to heaven the lord that gave him his talent gave him the peace and love he wanted
Good Lord????????? Is that the same Lord that killed him? Or the thousands of children that die of cancer every year???? Please don’t bring “ your god” into it
God this is so beautiful. You can tell no matter how difficult his life became the one thing that sustained him was his love of singing. He’s at the end of his rope here and he still gives it every single thing he has.
Imagine being the lucky recipient of the very last silk scarf that Elvis gave in his last live performance. Man, what a treasured keepsake that would be. Seeing him in that physical state less than two months before his death is sad, very sad. The voice till the very end was still powerful and moving. If only he could have changed just a few lifestyle habits, he could still have been with us today or at the very least lived a lot longer and ultimately retired when he wanted and been happy in retirement until his death much beyond his 42 years of age. Taken from us way too soon. Bless him. RIP.
Makes you wonder if that scarf wasn't sold on eBay some years later. However, I think it would be difficult to prove it's authenticity. Sill though, perhaps someone has it hanging in a shadow-box on their Livingroom wall as a heirloom.
I saw him in concert the day before this was taped in Kansas City. On Sunday I spent the day at our downtown airport waiting for him to arrive. (I tell everyone this but say I babysit his plane) My daughter and her friend were with me. We stood at the back of the limo as he got out. He turned and looked at our way and smiled. I promised my daughter and her friend I’d take them to see him the next Time he was in KC. As we all know that would never happen. But at least we have that Wonderful memory of him. I saw him 3 times in concert. My Mom sent me a sympathy card. When he passed away. I’ve Loved him since I was 11 and still do. I’m 77 now. I’ve been to Graceland several times. The first time was in 87 with my Mom and cousin. I could go on and on. Thank you for letting me tell my Sweet memories of my 1st Love. He will always in our ❤️
@@vickiwohletz7707 Wonderful memories. I'm so glad that you got to have all of those special times! That's so cool that you've also been to Graceland many times! Have you seen the new movie yet? It's so good. My brother and I are seeing it again tomorrow!
This song was my mothers heart, she loved Elvis, now they are both in heaven! Thank you my gentle man from Tupelo You are in all our souls for your music came from God!
Thankfully we have RU-vid so we can see and hear this beautiful man sing. The latest Elvis movie is a tribute to him. The actor did a fine job portraying him. Not an easy task. My God when I first saw this man's face and then heard his amazing voice. I was only 5. I am now 60. I still get goose bumps just looking at him. Hearing him sing is an experience that I cannot explain.
I was a little 7yr old boy, living in the Heart of beautiful Ireland, when Elvis passed over. I remember running and telling my Dad, Dad the man on the news just said Elvis died 🥺😢
I saw Elvis last night early screening, all i can say it was beautifully done. Elvis was before my time but I grew up listening to him. To see the man behind the cape, how tear jerking it. Yet to know how a simple family man he is that family came first. Clapping, loud cheers and folks giving standing ovation inside the theater. Thank you @ausitnbutler and to the entire Presley family for telling his story. Thank you Baz to filming it. Thank you, I wanna go see it again.
Same, I saw Elvis yesterday. It was nothing short of amazing, the whole cinema applauded after the film. Austin butler deserves an Oscar for his portrayal of Elvis. I loved it!!
Austin Butler did an amazing job. Unfortunately I feel like his performance was wasted by Bax Luhrmans egocentric self centered styling directing. Would’ve been much better if he focused more on Elvis and less on Parker. Elvis led such an interesting life, and they left a lot of it out. Instead of telling the story of a remarkable man’s life Luhrman was more interested in putting his own pizazz and interpretations into the film. Under a different direction this film could’ve been an all time classic.
@@MJsap13 Excellent assessment, Mr. Sapelli. I could not have worded it better myself. I agree with you that the focus should been more on Elvis and not the narcissistic self-serving huckster that was the 'Colonel.' I believe that without the stifling confounds of Parker, the raw talent and charisma of Elvis would have made an even more profound mark on American history; realizing his fullest potential and living well beyond his premature demise.
Elvis along side Freddie mercury are the only 2 singers I’ve never heard miss a note. They always hit it and never missed, and when you consider they were both very physical performers. It’s just insane they were flawless vocally.
Elvis in this state looked a lot like my grandpa when he was still alive. I don’t remember him, he died when I was a baby I only have photos of him so I feel like i shouldn’t be sad because i never knew him, right? Well I miss him every day and when i see this video it feels like I’m looking st my grandpa❤️. Love you Bill Bruce
To see Elvis in his 68 TV special and then to see him less then 10 years later is heartbreaking. His talent and giving his all was still there but he looked so unwell. And to think in less then 2 months we would lose our Shining Elvis is still unbelievable. Elvis, you gave all of you and your poor body was finally worn out. My granddaughter is only 2 and loves to dance to your music. I would have to say, that's pretty amazing considering you have been gone over 45 years. You are Loved ❤❤ and Missed. Elvis Forever 💖💖
My gran passed away she loved Elvis she was my rock my everything the light of my life now I'm like Elvis addicted to codien and much more I feel like a don't have long in the world I'm heartbroken lost and lonley I don't feel I have any more strength
That performance was legendary because of the fact his health fading but his voice was powerful till the very end. I feel this performance was so good because he knew so he gave it his all👏
Elvis had become a drug addicted, obese, half-crazed man by this time... he looked like he was strung out and his hair/clothing attire looked like $h^t! Sad indeed... what a wasted life! He died while taking a $h^t of a heart attack... smh!
Just brilliant movie, I'm 66 so I was in thr Elvis generation. I loved Bowie and Elvis , but Bazs movie reminded me he was really the King. A real Shakespearean event. Austin is truly outstanding, he becomes Elvis. He's Oscar material. Just loved the movie
I had no idea what an incredible artist, Elvis was until I saw the new Biopic with Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. Wow! He really was the King of Rock and Roll! Go see the movie in your theater if you have not already! You won’t be disappointed 🍿👏
@@RS-jb1lf watch the documentary "The way it is" of Elvis' first year 1970 in Vegas when he was tan, trim and on top of his game. He looked so good that year and so healthy. Once he started with the opiates is when the weight gain started because you can't shit on that stuff.
I don't know who needs to hear this today, but just Give GOD a little more time. Give HIM your worries, accept HIS peace & rest. He will carry you & make a way.Amen♥🕊💖💖🙏🙏
