This is my instrumental cover of the song "Can't Help Falling In Love" which was recorded by Elvis Presley in 1961 for the album "Blue Hawaii" and which appeared in the film of the same name. It was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creator and George David Weiss. The melody is based on "Plaisir d'amour", a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini. The song was initially written from the perspective of a woman as "Can't Help Falling in Love with Him", which explains the first and third line ending on "in" and "sin" rather than words rhyming with "you".
I played this using my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) with the Zoom G2.1Nu (EFTP Patch B0). Recording was done via USB to my home PC with Cubase. The backing track was from Karaoke Version and is the one with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as featured on the 2015 album "If I Can Dream". It is available for purchase here - www.karaoke-ve...
I also used tablature written by Phil McGarrick and it is available for download here - www.philmcgarri...
I hope you enjoy my rendition of this beautiful ballad
LYRICS:
Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?
Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand,
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand,
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you
