I think Elvis is the one “celebrity” that actually was worthy of putting on a pedestal. He was a a very very special human being. In a spiritual sense. He brought joy to so so many people. I love hearing all the stories from people of all walks of life. He touched people. He really was a gift.
I enjoyed all of Sandis stories and especially how he loved the fans gifts. I don’t think many celebrities would care what fans gave them, and then to write a Thankyou note to whoever gave him the gift was really special. He liked the little gifts and just appreciated that his fans thought oh him. There will never ever be another Elvis. So kind and generous. God Bless Elvis and he is with his mom and dad and brother Jesse now. I miss you to death Elvis.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yip he kept everything apart from a few things he donated or gifted to other fans he 2ad was over run with teddy's so I think he would give them to children hospitals and hospices I'm sure I heard that still in Graceland alot of the gifts
After my husband passed away (Nov of 2017) his music and the audio clip of him laughing.. Helped to break the tears of loss in my life... He was s9 Amazing!
OMG! I can't help but adore & love this man. I'm always in awe of this beautiful & extraordinary human being. There's something in him that makes people love & adore him!!! He is really one of a kind!!!
She makes reference to Elvis commenting at the end that he was going to get healthy and some big changes were coming. I think that very much coincides with Larry Geller comment that he and Elvis had a lengthy discussion about where Elvis was heading in the future. Elvis was getting rid of the Colonel and getting himself back in shape and perhaps a new direction with his career.
She mentioned Elvis was bloated. Exactly! That is fluid retention not fat. Most of weight gain that Elvis experienced at the end of his life was not fat but fluid retention caused by 1- Narcotics overuse paralyzing his intestinal tract, causing sever constipation 2- chronic use of Prednisone for asthma, allergies and aches and pain. 3- Insulin resistant diabetes 4-Poor sleeping pattern. Most people when they saw him gaining weight, automatically though that Elvis was eating too much or it was all his diet. No, that was a small part of it. The man was ill and no one saw it. He should have been admitted to a rehab ( which they didn’t have those days) gradually stop all of those meds that he took, and he would have dropped 30-40 pounds immediately. That would have taken a lot of load off his enlarged and weak heart muscles.
Mrs. Sandi has 1,000+ pictures of the King and with Ms. SANDI. I'm so Happy for Her!!! Those memmories of her with the time with King is a Treasure of a Lifetime!
This part was great. Its good to know that he wanted to do a gospel tour with J.D. and the boys. I cant imagine how awesome that would have been! Also, getting to hear about Charlie. I love Billy, but there was something special about Charlie. He radiated sincerity, and love for Elvis. He seemed to be just one great guy. He also died too young. Awesome job on this Billy.
This is pure gold Elvis... Sandi seems to be a beautiful lady... The collection of videos you have not put together could be translated into an awesome Elvis documentary, especially these type of sit down Interviews... You are contributing so much to Elvis's legacy just got to say "thank you thank you very much!"
That is so nice to know that he got thrilled with gifts from his fans. I remember sometime in the early 60's I momogramed a set of towels with EAP and my Mother ( god rest her soul) mailed them to Graceland. I got a sweet letter saying thank you and it was signed and I was so proud of that letter that I framed it and hung it right inside my bedroom door. As I left for school or just to go out I'd see it and know that he cared. For a teenager to know ELVIS cared about your present it meant a lot. Bless you for all of these wonderful videos.
What a life! To spend so much of your life hanging around his gate and traveling just to maybe catch a glimpse of Elvis. I’d say Elvis was retaining water. He was sick.
Thank you Spa Guy for this series, it is an incredible look into the personal side of Elvis. My wife and I finally made the 800 mile journey to Grace land last week and were very impressed. You can feel the spirit of Elvis there. I would love to hear more about the bus and if you have had any luck locating it. I can't believe such an important part of history is missing, someone has to know what happened to it. And to Sandi, thank you for doing this you are amazing ,what a great story to be able to tell. You were truly blessed to know Elvis.May God continue to bless you.
Awesome !!! Love it ! How lucky you were to have those opportunities. I met him when I was about 4 or 5, sitting with my little brother in his lawn at Graceland. My Mother was running the gate, as her and my Aunt got to know the guards. It was warm weather and I know he was coming from a movie in California. He waved out the window and said Hi lil ones. That day, I knew something divine had just happened and I never forgot it. Wow !!! You are GREAT Sandy !!!
Billy what a great interview! Just brakes my heart too hear Elvis talk about getting healthy and having big plans taking time off!what could a should of been! Still hurts!! Never had the chance! It would of been hard coming off the medications put sounds like he was wanting too head in that direction!so sad!!
Noel Fee beat me to it. This IS pure gold Elvis. Thank you, Sandi Miller for sharing your memories. We know Elvis was so very popular but, what I find incredible is how his popularity reached so many people. I was lucky to have friends in my city of London, Ontario, Canada who were fortunate to attend a few of Elvis' shows in the mid-to-late 1970s. And when I met these friends after we lost Elvis I would pepper them with as many details as I could. The look on their faces when they would share their experiences. I also want to mention before I forget while I am typing, I am glad the Spa Guy asked Sandi when was the last time she saw Elvis. Best wishes to Sandi for health and happiness and thanks again, Spa Guy. Ok. On to Part 3. I really appreciate your interview style, Spa Guy.
I loved the way Elvis picked it up people just from the streets :) he just saw a girl walking and invited her - just like that. Also Linda Thompson was just an invited girl, Priscilla also was a simple - non famous girl back then in Germany - and he just saw smth in her face that attracted him... Literally he was absorbing all the world all the time as if he knew he has no time for games..He wasnt affraid of people, he practically kissed half the world girls :) who does that - even then or now?? He was just so amazing personality - so sweet, big kisser and loving everyone he met...
Thank you Mr. Spa Guy for the videos from Ms Sandi. Cool stories ! So awesome. I heard about Elvis' death from the car radio (a country station that is no more). The DJ announced it after the song that was on quit playing. I was on my way home after grocery shopping and had my children with me. I was stunned. When I got my children and groceries home I turned on my tv and watched the coverage...abc if I remember right. I cried and cried. So sad for him and still a young man. He would of been a marvelous Gospel Music singer. It was his first love. Looking forward to part 3 with Ms Sandi. So fortunate that she knew Elvis personally. Love the videos from "The Memphis Mafia Kid." Thank you for telling the Elvis' fans about them. Tighten up and Lord bless.
Sandi how lucky you were to be part of Elvis's life I would have been so honored as I see you are to have been that close with him you seem so nice and down to earth Appreciate all the hard work you do spa guy getting us fans the information and Sandi God bless you and thanks for your story
I loved this interview!!!!! FYI...JD did an interview after Elvis died and said that Elvis had called him and told JD that he needed to talk to him about "Something" however, JD said that he was so busy and never returned Elvis' call then Elvis died. I bet JD always wondered what Elvis wanted to say to him. Could the "Little girl" be Alicia Kerwin, that worked for CNI Bank and then went to work for United American Bank as a Bank Teller? She has passed away, I believe her life ended very tragic. Great follow-up video. Thank you!
The bus steering wheel would be a treasure even. Not that I make Elvis an idol as only God gets worship. But he was the # 1 entertainer sinner saint talented winner loser of all time. Loser in that he had so many stupid mistakes but a winners because he was the greatest & touched so many & even those like Prascilla & others that Elvis leg down still found in their hearts to forgive understand & love him dearly with all their heart. I think Prascilla is the only special person who misses & loves Elvis more than anyone. We miss Elvis 100% of our hearts but she misses Elvis 101%.
I saw him in concert two months before he died on June 1st 1977 in Macon Georgia and he didn't look bad at all. I have several pictures to prove it. He looked like regular ol' Elvis.
Great video Spa Guy ❤The comment Sally made was a surprise for me, that he introduced her to his girl but it was not Ginger. According to Jo and Billy he went to Palm Springs with a girl named Alyshia Kerwin and he wanted to take her on tour. Was it Alyshia that Sally was introduced to? No doubt that Elvis loved Ginger but this backes up what Jo and Billy said. Sally though was more than a fan, she went out with Charlie, and she became then introduced into the cirkle, so cool you found that out Spa Guy, nothing get's hidden from you😀
Debbie Bell I think he knew , I really liked Elvis Presley, but we have to remember Elvis was human and had the same feelings and demons that tortured him torture the rest of us too, yes he made mistakes in life and so have all of the rest of us , May he R I P With the LORD ...
Sandi seems like such a beautiful person! What a wonderful experience she’s had in her lifetime! Love your channel Spa Guy! Just found it a couple of weeks ago and am now binging lol
Loved it, Spa Guy , how you get to the nitty gritty , I love it. Thats. what is so interesting . I hope my bucket list will be fulfilled this year as I plan to visit Graceland .
Dear Spa Guy, I have watched so many of your videos, and I would like to Thank you so much for this great interview with Sandi. Also for all of the things you record for us Elvis fans. You are a true blessing to us who love him and miss him so much. I guess we got lucky that you are an Elvis fan. Thanks again and God bless you.
Hey Billy ,,, Great job on this one truly one of your best vids . Can't wait to see #3 of this series . In E's earlier LA movie days was driving a smaller Dodge motorhome . Didn't look all that special . The Flexibus is a much nicer commercial grade Greyhound style . RU-vid has numerous vids on that brand bus. Did you fly to LA to interview Sandi ??? Funny thing . I'm from Indy and knew some people who went to last Market Sqr. arena show . I was just a casual Elvis fan not a big fan. I thought why see ELVIS over say Chicago or Eagles ??? I was only familiar with the lame movie show songs my grandfather took us to see. and a few other songs . Still I was in shock and remember in full detail exactly what and where I was & what I was doing when I heard about his dying like it was last month. Since RU-vid .... I've become a giant Elvis fan being able to see & hear how great an entertainer and unfortunately how tragic his life ended . Great job Billy . Its a shame your running out of people who actually knew Elvis . Thanks & good luck .... Sheldon (Shel) ........
Pretty interesting , Thank you to you SpaGuy and Sandy for her time and sharing her momories and facts with us Elvis' fans. I watched part. 1 & 2 and will Part 3. Thanks again TCB my friend
Wow those are great stories ! Elvis driving a big bus. Ernest Borgnine in his later years drove a class A motorhome in a doc. movie. But Elvis bus looked like a Greyhound type heavy duty. One would think he would have a pro bus driver & he would just relax & rest in the back of the bus. Really super info that Elvis wanted to arrange a gospel tour & was in his plans. The tell all book came out in 1977 by his former bodyguards so maybe Elvis desire was get right with God & get healthy ....Sandi is a sweet lady & nice that she met Charlie Hodge & was his girlfriend. Always liked Charlie as he looked like a true friend of Elvis. Charlie had a faith as well. In a summer concert end of Aug 1976 I have a DVD & Elvis gets a blue police helmet & Elvis says something about Swat & Elvis the always jokester says swats is it? Elvis says who had the smallest head ? A few seconds goes by...then says "Charlie" Reviews of this a Southbound concert is not great but I disagree because Elvis is in a jolly mood. I can listen to the concert weekly & it seems to come alive like I am attending the concert. A lot of concerts just seems to be so entertaining but also it just lifts one being or emotions. Like a therapy. Uplifting. Amazing how Elvis took time for his fans & appreciated the gifts sent his way. Can you imagine if Elvis went on tour & sang 20 plus gospel songs !!!! And if it happened to have them pro film shot. Very interest vid & looking forward to pt 3. Side note: many Elvis movies had shallow plots nevertheless the 30 plus movies does give us footage of Elvis over 15 years of his life. I remember going to a drive in movie theatre in Richmond BC Canada in the early 1960s. I was maybe 6-7 yrs old & my mom & dad & it was an Elvis & a John Wayne movie. Those were my heros. Elvis was in a tank if I remember correctly. That drive in theatre shut down many years ago. Back in the 1960 's there was at least 6 drive in movie theatres in the Vancouver & out laying area. Elvis RIP.
I love how beautifully she shared her stories! GateGirls !!! I’d die to me one of the GateGirls ❤️🙌🏼⭐️⚡️✨👯👯👯😍The bus wow! I was there at Graceland and the bus was there I think still 🤔Omg love love this 🥰Thank you once again Spa Guy 🙏🏼🙌🏼👍🏼I love all you do on your utube all the History on Elvis 😓I cry tho but it’s ok 😉
Alicia Kerwin - Alanna Nash's book Baby, Let's Play House - Elvis Presley and the Women Who Loved Him. Alicia Kerwin (20 year old bank teller) first met Elvis in April 1977 via George Klein. She went to Vegas with Elvis on a drug run & they went from Vegas to his home in Palm Springs. That's when she noticed Elvis wasn't breathing, so she alerted Billy Smith who called Dr. Kaplan to revive Elvis. Elias Ghanem flew in from Vegas to take care of him.
Ruth Daniel Apparantly, Elvis & Ginger were togeather from November 19th 1976 to August 16th 1977. Thats what has been stated. So, Elvis stepped out or didn,t want to be alone that time, if Ginger was not attending that show?
I listen from time to time the videos of when famous people first met Elvis... Have yet to hear one say a negative thing about the man. He was so loved ... by all who knew him ...
Billy , so wild you mentioned the Songfellows, I go to church with the last living member of that group. He is a treasure of our church such an example of Christ he is. He has a funny Elvis story, it probably would be a good little story for the channel.
@@SpaGuy Kemp “Doc” Higgenbothem, he is/was (retired) optometrist. Who is a friend and goes to my church. After I found your channel, I remembered he has a funny Elvis story, Doc is a wonderful man and a biblical scholar and also a singer although mostly in the church choir now. And I believe according to friends the only remaining member of the Songfellows. His story is about when Elvis tried out for them when Cecil Blackwood left after the crash. And they were having tryouts for the Songfellows.
Hey guy..... Love your videos on Elvis. He will always be "the King" You always find the truth. Got to see him twice in concert. Unbelievable!!! Saw him in 1976, and 1977 in Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. Blew my mind. He was so in control of his audience. Right in the palm of his hand. I love the details and the obvious respect that you deliver in your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Mr. Spa Guy, I so enjoyed this episode and I am looking forward to the next one. Her story is amazing. Thank you so much for bring it to us. All my best to you, Cheers!
Great hearing from her, I’ve seen her in pictures in the past, good to put a voice to the face. Thx again for a wonderful video. I sure appreciate all ur hard work. God bless-Peg
Thank you very much with continuing with the great stories told about Elvis from Sandi Miller. Again I learned a lot more about Elvis. I look forward to part three of these awesome stories. I really like her very much. I appreciate you always.☺
Cool video of the stories but please do a follow up of the whereabouts of the bus would be cool thanks for sharing that lady has so awesome stories to share!
