My dad grew up in the 50s and he's 74 now. He told me that the catholic church ran the country back then so anything they didn't like would be "cancelled" as they say today. He wasn't wrong
I remember I was just a teenager, I bought a ticket to this show with my sister who was in love with elvis, in the back row we couldn’t hear a thing because of the cheering so me and my sister snuck near the front row ( just off the camera ) and we listened to elvis amazing singing, rip elvis aka the worlds best singer
@@Dutch_van_der_linde939 he has an awesome taste of music too I must say 😂😂 I was kind of confused at first because not a lot of old folks play RDR2 but not a lot of young folks like me listen to Elvis so the contrast between the profile and the comment kinda had me puzzled lol
@@Digitqlhdh1 Yeah and I am quite sure your a top critic of Elvis's and alot of other singers as well. As Elvis once said. Yes they have a job to do and they do it. But when Elvis was asked did he learn anything from it? Elvis responded, No I haven't! Because he didn't feel he did anything wrong. I totally agree 💯 0/0. And so Elvis went on to become the biggest and most popular entertainer of his time.
Should have been longer if he had gotten rid of Parker and took care of himself. He died at 42 in 1977, imagine if he lived just 10 more years he could have done a duet with Michael Jackson or made a comeback like Roy Orbison
Let's see, Mrs. Gump says, "This is not for children's eyes". Supposedly Forrest taught him this dance. But in reality, he did drive the girls crazy moving around on stage. Him moving around on stage came natural, yes, but the older generation at the time didn't understand pop culture at that particular time.
Every generation doesn't get the next one. To this day I don't know what the hell a "dab" is but play the opening chords to Macarena and I'll know instantly what song that is. Parents that survived the depression 20 years earlier when rock n roll didn't exist weren't going to get it. The same way a child of the 50's wanted to throw up when they heard disco and children of the 70s weren't going to get gangsta rap
