I wished I would have known you were coming to Huntsville, I saw Elvis 2 times and had 8th row seats. I was 11 yo but I remembered like it was yesterday. I was born here and I do have some pics. Thank you for including my city in your visits✌️⚡️

Ps, He stayed at the Hilton that was across the street, My mom and me walked with one of the Inspirations after the show bc we parked at Hotel. She pointed up to his room for me and all we could see was tin foil✌️

The Von Braun Center is pretty cool looking. Love that Elvis kept agreeing to more shows. He was in demand ever where. It looked beautiful there as well. I loved seeing Bennie Jacks, she is such a sweet lady! Loved her Elvis shades and her Elvis t-shirt. Who knew there was another Elvis Presley Blvd?! That is so cool!!! Can't wait for part 2!

I was 15 years old living in Huntsville. I missed Elvis' s previous Von Braun Civic Center concerts but my mother finally gave me permission to camp out overnight at the Civic Center for tickets because he was scheduled to come back. (Elvis loved Huntsville & the Civic Center) It was summer & I was out of school & she thought I was old enough to spend the night on a folding lounge chair surrounded by fellow Elvis die hard fans. The tickets were to go on sale August 17, 1977. The rest is history. The local paper showed all the bundles of printed Elvis concert tickets spread out on the box office table that were to be sold that day. I guess they all ended being thrown away. But one of them was supposed to be mine. And I came so close but never got to see Elvis in concert.

Fans from young teens adults gramma granpa... Other rock groups...mainly teens/young adults... Elvis fan base A-Z. Still in death he has his millions of fans....not flash in the pan ... Nice lady too. A true fan.

Elvis performed before over 62,000 fans on new year's eve 1975 in Michigan's Pontiac Silverdome, largest audience ever, unfortunately it was brought down in 2018.

The summer tour of ‘75 was AWESOME. IMO that tour was highlighted by the bootlegged show “Sold Out In Dixie” June 2, 1975 in Huntsville. Elvis TORE it up! What a show! It was at this arena. Amazing, amazing show. Elvis was in great spirits & a great voice. A thrilling show. Cool video Billy. Legendary shows were performed there....many people probably don’t even know.....but we do!

Hello, I saw Elvis in Las Vegas back in the 1970's I forgot which year at the Hilton Hotel....me and a friend of mine were working in Cali. We left Cali. going home to South Carolina.....we passed thru Las Vegas we asked someone there where was a good show to go to....they said go to the Hilton Elvis was playing there....after the show we tried to get a Hotel Room....everything was all booked up ....we had to sleep in my car at a Rest Stop on the highway....great show by Elvis.....John from North Carolina...

I can't believe that Elvis did five shows shows you how dedicated he was to us just actually care for him so deeply because he cared for us. I was just thinking and maybe you should put these on CDs or something because this is history of everything you do because sometimes our phones go down and things get lost this way we could purchase them at your Museum it's just a thought because what you're doing is magnificent and we all love you for it and can't thank you enough God bless you and your family may you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and it's 2021 December

It's nice that we have two of these concerts (May 31 matinee and June 1 evening shows) from the Follow That Dream label. The spring 1975 tour was probably one of the last really consistently good tours from Elvis.

Next best thing to being there is watching your videos -always enjoy the drone footage - very easy to picture how it was when Elvis played there. Shame they tore down that Hotel I guess they don't have the same view of Elvis history as we do. We would preserve every place he stayed at wouldn't we. Thanks Spa Guy.

I work in law enforcement in Hsv. My dad also worked for Hsv police and was assigned to Elvis when he was here. On the way to the show Elvis told my dad he would save a scarf for my mom. As he left the stage, a fan grabbed the scarf from Elvis and took it. He apologized to my dad and asked him if my mom would be happy with a towel. He said yes. She still has the towel with hair dye on it. he also personally autographed a picture to my mom. He tried to write on the front but the pen would not write. So he wrote on the back. She still has both. I can answer any questions you have about Elvis being in Hsv. My mom and dad are still alive. Had I known you were coming I could have given you a personal tour around. He recorded Dixieland delight in Hsv. I’m sure you k ew that. I’m a huge Elvis fan. My mom cried the day Elvis died as if my family died.

It was good to see VB Center in your video. My family lived in Chattanooga at the time Elvis played in Huntsville, and my parents went to a show, but I can’t recall which year it was now. They were all good shows from what a I’ve heard. When Elvis played there, he did stay at the Hilton, which was torn down. A shame really. My grandfather was married to Mary Toney, of Mary’s Pit BBQ. I’ve eaten there numerous times. I can’t wait for the 2nd video, and I hope you found the door to Elvis’ hotel suite and a few of the items that were on display at the hotel. Someone has to know where that memorabilia is. Maybe, hopefully, it’s at VB Center. Oh, BTW, I would know if Elvis ate at Mary’s, and I’ve never heard that. It could be that one of Elvis’ staff brought food back, but at the time, there would have been BBQ places closer to the hotel, so take-out would even be a stretch. Article attached. I stayed in the hotel a few years ago when I was on tour with another band that played the Von Braun Center. I have a picture from the plaque on the wall. Email me if you would like a copy. Unfortunately it isn’t the best quality, but it’s a cool pic and readable.

They made a lot of add ons to that building but, at least they didn't demolish it like a lot of Elvis related buildings are. There's probably a lot of Elvis Presley Blvds and streets.

Spa Guy you were about 45 minutes from me. Lol. I live near Lake Guntersville State Park. I tell people I am Floribamain...lol. I was born and raised in Melbourne Fl. Not far from the cape and came to NE Alabama in 1989...I fell in love with it here. Huntsville is a beautiful city but I wanted to live more out and near a river since I grew up on a river called Indian River in Florida. This is home sweet home....and it is a very beautiful place. The people in this neck of the woods are awesome wonderful people who love Elvis...we had a Elvis Impersonator also had a guy who used to do Michael Jackson impersonations on top of his car...lol...God bless Spa Guy

vernon and dee didn't get married on kildare st. they got married at the judges house in south huntsville and began their honeymoon in hurricane valley. one of dudley powells sons worked for elvis at graceland. we call that community Maysville but it carries the zip code of Gurley. Elvis drank a bottle of coke at that old general store and i'm told the empty coke bottle is still in the family.

If that BBQ place opened in 1958, doubtful Elvis ate there. Earlier and he may have on his 1954-1955 travels. But by 1958 he was in the Army and upon return back and forth to Hollywood.

ELVIS USED TO DRIVE OVER FROM MEMPHIS To get a haircut in Shefield Alabama and then play several sets at the Amvets building. My mom and Dad went once in a while. My dad would go smoke cigarettes with Elvis and the guys during during breaks. YEARS LATER, MOM AND DAD WERE HAVING HAVING THEIR USUAL wars when daddy blurted out tha Elvis said the girs liked him because he , had one THIS LONG! MAMA WAS MAD AND EMBARRASSED I STARTED LAUGHING AND MAMA RAN ME OUT OF THE HOUSE!!
