Elvis had incredible talent and compassion. Yet he was used, drained and depleted. Nearly 50 years since his last day and yet still a household name, always loved and never forgotten.
I was at this VERY concert! Unforgettable at age 14, as I stood at the foot of the stage and getting caught up in the frenzy, I reached upward toward Elvis, and cried, "Elvis....ELVIS!!!" ❤ A memory never to be forgotten! (As I watched this video tonight, I looked as hard as I could, trying to see myself there near the stage, but even though I didn't see myself, I KNOW that I was there, and that is a great feeling!!)
Oh how fortunate you were, cannot imagine the greatness of those concerts. Wish my brothers and I could have seen him in person. He didn’t come to England. ❤
Kind of makes me mad when everyone judges this concert by his last few songs when he was tired sweaty and out of breath, he clearly gave it his all. His voice was powerful as ever.
Elvis was always great. I love him. I have loved him ever since I first saw him in the movie theater in the movie Double Trouble. Elvis was great even at the end of his life. A True Fan would never try to judge him. There is only one who can judge him and that is our Lord and Savior. My only regret is that I never got to see him live. But at least his suffering is over. I Love You Elvis Presley.
Im 81 yrs old now since 1955 im avid fan of Elvis Presley now im7yrs widow his songs is my medicine for my loneliness i always view his concert and i love his eyes his smile his sideburns his voice Loving You forever
" Are you lonesome tonite," remains 1 of the most beautiful ballads of Elvis. So romantic, & he sings it so naturally. Elvis is a great singer/ performer. He can't be equalled. Up to this present age, he still remains popular and loved by many. ❤
@@lindaarmstrong3873- You are so right👍 His smiles were very attractive ever since he was young. He was such a Legend❤ and no one can ever replace Elvis. Very unfortunate 😪 that he died young with the heavy medication. May he rest in an eternal peace along with his daughter, Lisa Marie and grandson ,Ben.🌹🌹🌹
I have loved Elvis since I was a little girl. I'm 72 now and love him still. His beautiful voice is like no other. He had a gift. I will always love you, Elvis.
Thank you for sharing your story, you are so lucky to be there in real life. I'm 72yrs he still popular in my home today with my children and grandchildren's
Same and I am 55. I remember the day my Mom came in my bedroom and told me Elvis had died. I was actually listening to his Album. I didn't believe her. Very sad day.
This was 47 years ago. It's nice to have the videos of his concerts that he played. Very sad to see his health declining over the years. No one will ever come close to him. He sang such a variety of music. He opened so many doors in musical industry. He will always be the KING OF ROCK N ROLL. ❤
I had my son July 7 1977. And they come on the radiothT head died and I creamed so loud that and started crying 😢.I don't know if he would ha e remembered we met at Graceland when I was 12 and I still love him and his music and Lways will .love you in heaven elvis! ❤GLADYS WEBB FROM MARYVILLE ,TN.
In this last performance of Elvis, i have witness by my eyes how much Elvis was loved and adored by people, it was worth for Elvis being built statues , awarded a street, Elvis Presley Blvd.given many awards and imitated by many Elvis tribute artist, Elvis is truly one and only!
@@elenacoronado6226 Little correction: This was Elvis last filmed show, togehter with the show in Rapid City, June 21st 1977. Last show ever was on June, 26th 1977 in Indianapolis, but it was not filmed.
Elvis had a lot of pain that no one ever talked about. He was a true showman. The very best. The show must go on! Oh how I miss you my sweet Elvis.💔😭❤❤❤
I would listen to my parents Elvis records as a kid. Now my daughter has discovered Elvis after watching the movie. She’s literally obsessed with him. Every generation will discover Elvis . He will always live on
Did you guys know that the king 🤴of rock-n-roll elvis aron Presley has a hospital 🏥named after him it is known as the elvis aron Presley memorial trauma center and hospital 🏥 what a great and fitting experience for a very true legend like the king 🤴of rock-n-roll elvis aron Presley to have a hospital 🏥named after elvis Presley way to go elvis aron Presley you deserve this because you never wavered from your goal to help those who were less fortunate than you knowing that you yourself were born into poverty yourself but had the goal of climbing out of poverty yourself and upon so doing you vowed to help others like the you when you were a child and elvis Presley you accomplished your goal and the goals that God had for you to accomplish and you did again accomplish these goals you made your family loved-ones friends and your fan's very proud of you this is why you will always be known as the king 🤴of rock-n-roll and the very kind person that you were you will never be forgotten and your memory will live forever and beyond it will never end as long as your family 👪friends loved ones and your fan's keep your memory alive today and forever elvis aron Presley you are the king 🤴of rock-n-roll and you will always be the king 🤴of rock-n-roll just because you died on August 16,1977 doesn't mean that you're memory will ever fade as long as me and your family loved-ones and friends as well as your fan's forever&beyond have any thing to say about it elvis aron Presley you will live forever and beyond in the memory of your family friends and loved-ones and your fan's, I will say this much long live the king of rock-n-roll elvis aron Presley 🤴.
@Kushal Vyas elvis aron Presley is not alive the king of rock-n-roll elvis aron Presley 🤴has died, he died of a heart attack at his home 🏡Graceland mansion in Memphis,Tennessee at the age of just 42 he was slated to start his sold out concert tour starting in the state of Maine and ending it back in Memphis,Tennessee then he was going to take a rest before starting his next sold out concert tour starting in the state of California in the city of Los Angeles then elvis Presley was then to also start another sold out concert tour in the state of Nevada in both the city's of Las Vegas and and reno before winding up these two sold out concert tour's back in Memphis, Tennessee he was then to go and get a check-up at his doctor's office at Baptist memorial hospital in Memphis, Tennessee before starting another sold-out concert tour in the state of Michigan beginning in the city of Detroit and making several more parts of the sold-out concert tour in the cities of Alpena, traverse city, Pontiac, Mt.clements, Lansing this state's capital then to Adrian, Dearborn,

That is deader then a doorknob stiffer then a pine board and stinker then a piece of rotten meat 🍖.
I saw Elvis in concert sometime in 1977 in GA. I was 11 years old. He had a very sore throat but performed a full concert. The next day he went to the ER and was diagnosed with strep throat. I sang with Elvis in front of my Mom’s stereo with a candle for a microphone as far back as I can remember when I was a child. He is still my favorite singer. No one sings like Elvis.
I don"t care what people say. Elvis always gave his best. He always prayed before going on stage. He knew God blessed him with a voice, beauty charisma and showed his praise and gratitude in singing for the world.
At 80, listen to him daily,70 years my singing idol. Saw him in person. 2 times and all broadcast shows.. A lonely but beautiful man!!😢 So much deeper in Heart. 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've never taken an interest in Elvis, but since the movie had just come out I've gone on a Elvis binge, his life, his music, his passing. All I'll say is this, from someone who until a few weeks ago knew about Elvis but no more to today Elvis was and will always be the king, isn't it crazy that only now have I actually taken a look and a listen yet after all these years, he's got me. I'm shocked by the effect he's had on me. Elvis is the one and only KING I'm so sad we lost such an incredible and powerful soul, only Elvis can capture someone's heart decades since he passed. EDIT... I just had to add this on, Elvis died when I was 7, I'm now 52 and like I said I knew Elvis as that singer who died and that's that. Today over FORTY YEARS later, I'm now only listening to the one and only ELVIS. Only Elvis can still capture people decades after he passed.. no one will ever be greater
Same! I always knew who Elvis was and heard of him but never payed attention to much or really cared but I think he was kinda forgotten already, I always adored the song „can‘t help falling in love with you“ that was always one of my favorite songs and I never even knew it was an Elvis song until the movie came out and I feel incredibly dumb and disappointed at myself. After watching the movie I became a really big fan and I researched everything about him. I never knew anything about him but I fell in love with his kindness and love and voice and talent. I always heard some Elvis songs in my life but I never really knew it was Elvis. It‘s sad and crazy that we all forgot him but he died 45 years ago unfortunately but I al so happy this movie came out because now he was introduced to SO many people and he gained SO many fans and more popularity! If I lived in his time in the 50s I would have been a big fan of him as well. I am so sad I never really payed attention to him, Marilyn Monroe is extremely famous and everyone knows her and still talks about her but as for Elvis I think he was a little forgotten but luckily thanks to the movie it got prevented ❤️ Elvis is such an icon INCREDIBLY handsome and most good looking man I have ever seem with a charming voice and personality and wonderful humor.

If I were to watch All Of His Concerts Back To Back You Don’t Have to Tell Me Twice I Would Watch them 1000 Times over and Never Get Sick of watching Him.
@@evy4755Very true! You know, he didn’t like being called “the King”. He’d often say “There’s only 1 King and he’s up there” and point up towards Heaven. God bless his soul.
Elvis is the best looking .an I've ever seen. I'm 69 now but I still listen to his music cause he's the greatest singer in the world. I'll never get tired of this man or his music
Elvis radiated beauty and showed massive talent even when he was suffering. He was beautiful until the end. RiIP gorgeous man. Thank you for the gift you shared with us.
My mom and her sister had seen Elvis live a few months earlier in Charlotte. He was very sick that night. He was an hour late and only performed for about 45 minutes. He was so exhausted he couldn't go any longer. Surprised he even made it to August of 1977.
Two months later he was gone. Elvis never lost the one thing that endeared him to the masses. Through all his heartache and troubles, he never lost his VOICE.
I have loved Elvis many years and I listen to his music everyday. Elvis took care of everyone around him when they should have been taking care of him. Bleess his heart, he had health problems that weren't addressed correctly. I have watched this several times and while I was glad to see Elvis preform one more time Elvis really should have been in a hospital. He loved his fans and gave until he couldn't. What a great man who was blessed with beautiful looks and a magnificent voice. Maybe Elvis wasn't meant to grow old.
I wish he was still here with us I know he’s going to a peaceful place he gave so much to so many people and for that he needed his rest god bless him and Jesus Christ said it’s time know ❤❤❤❤I’ll love ❤️ you forever Elvis god is taking good care of you and family so you can all reunite together with love and no problem and stress my king
This breaks my heart, literally. The sheer love of music had to have kept him going. A gift of God, for the season that he was with us - truly. Grace and peace to the Presley family. ⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️
Absolutely he's the best that ever been and he'll always be the king he's not only nice to look at but he is the most talented entertaining person ever I admired him and enjoy his music all my life and I still have a lot of his records and vinyls and videos you name it I've got it
Watching this is so bittersweet. Elvis looks so ill and still used everything inside of him to deliver a great concert to his fans. He looks so much older then 42 years. Even though his outfit sparkled, the sparkle in his face was gone. We will love you forever Elvis and if love could of saved you, you would still be alive..Rest Sweetly Dear Elvis ❤😢❤😢. Disrespectful ! . Going back and forth on how soon he died after this concert! I can add and subtract thanks to a school teacher. If this is all you can say for or about this man.. Shut Up!

I saw Elvis in Denver at Mcnichols arena on his last tour. His voice was incredible. I was a floor usher and my coworker and I were about to be crushed against the stage by fans, mainly women for that last picture. I never I could love those words so much "ladies and gentlemen Elvis has left the building". Those word saved me and my coworker. Whew. Awesome show and Elvis is still the King.
This is so touching. Elvis getting close to the end of his journey but still delivering songs with passion and power!! Also love the obvious pride and affection with which Elvis introduces members of his band. I'm so glad I discovered Elvis' music years ago. Thank you Elvis, you're the best. I'll be listening to you the rest of my life!!

I can't help feeling sad watching this. 2 months later he's gone. Even in the bad shape he's in, he still brought the audience to it's feet. It's called charisma, and Elvis had it.
I sincerely wish these tapes of that last concert tour were kept off the air. They are sad and he was sick. He would be very upset if he saw them being posted. He is not himself at all. I saw him from the beginning in Vegas. Say all you want he is great. He is sick. He is straining a lot of the time. It is so sad for me to see this when I saw the full of energy Elvis, all over the stage having fun Elvis. He is doing this because he feels he has to. He is not having fun.Why post it? Oh, I know....I love him anyway he is. Well so did I! I was going to see him! But I think these are too sad to air.
Maybe there were amazing singers in ancient times, but they didn’t have sound & vision devices! Elvis came along in a very special time in history! The first and the best, iconic like many icons of the 20th century.
Soothing voice, you can tell he was worn out but he kept bringing smiles to everyone. Many shining moments. Loved his authenticity. I also enjoyed his acknowledgement and time to honor God.
I went out with Elvis back in Bad Nauheim Germany,I will never forget him, what a Gentleman he was,we always had a great time and laughed a lot,I have pictures with him and me,nice memories!❤️
I’m 84 years old I’ve loved Elvis since I was 15 years old, I married my husband and he was a big fan too, we used to listen to him all the time, I’ve got records he bought me in 1957 and can still play them, bit scratchy but great
We have visited Bad Nauheim several times,we love it,especially to stay at the Hotel Villa Grunewald rooms no.10,it's still like it was when Elvis lived there forever some month....you can feel so near to Elvis there.❤

An extra ordinary man with extra ordinary talent. What a voice!! No one will ever compare. No tattoos, piercings, filthy language or garbage songs. Real music from the real King of R&R. I saw him 45 yrs ago in Columbia, SC in March, '77.He didn't disappoint. The only singer to sell out EVERY concert he ever had!! Rest In Peace Elvis. (What a unique name). It's too bad Colonel Parker made him do all those movies instead of live Concerts in the 60s when he was in his Prime. Apart from the Pearl Harbor Concert America never saw Prime Elvis killing on Stage.
What a voice , what a performer !! I can't believe that he left this world just weeks after this performance. Did he somehow know this would be his last concert ever ...😢 ? Loved and remembered still in 2024 ....Elvis lives on in our hearts ❤

I was only 11 and I refused to go to the YMCA anymore because I was supposed to go. But Elvis died that da. It reminded me of Elvis anytime anyone brought that place up. I loved Elvis pretty much from my birth’
Sure He may have been “Used” by the colonel and some others to line their pockets, but Elvis always did what Elvis wanted. His insatiable appetite for life , women, food, art, music and guns occupied most of his waking moments…yes he had some setbacks (like most of us) but he lived a life none of us can even dream.
I leasing to his music as much as I can I have his GOLD album (78) many years old and I will always keep it and play it.I had 2 Strokes and on a Walker for 16 years now. I always wish I could to see his concert But he was to far away I lived in Brockton Mass. until 6 years ago. He is the greatest and the king of music.his family met a lot to him It’s just sad it ended the Way it did but they were still very close.I miss you ELVIS.

Look closely at how his physiology change when he sings That’s Alright, takes him right back. Also look at how Charlie watches him, an amazing performance!
They became addicted to applause and adolation which was as as good as a handful of pain killers for the time they up on stage, u hear artiste after artiste say this.
@@abusnail367 nothing wrong with that, I'm not a Elvis fan ,tho know he has had some great songs. Something I didn't know was he never wrote a song himself they were all written for him. What a superb performer he was tho, no doubt In that and According to people who knew him , a very nice chap..he often felt compelled to take jobs not for himself but because he felt responsible for putting money into others pockets..how about that for self sacrifice. 😉
Above anything else...despite his imperfections, lapses, illness and sadness....it was just the way he sang that made him The Greatest Entertainer that ever lived.
His voice is unique, above all others, could sing an octave + - every note + in belting out one word. Such a voice ! Perfect for ballads and everything else.
True. Mic Jagger said Elvis was beautiful and naive. Yes, Col con artist worked him to death. Noone performed at midnight in Vegas. 2 shows one day 8 pm and 12 am. Elvis was so naive n trusted that con man. His dad was no different from Col. Very sad...

Just visited Graceland for the first time two weeks ago. It was so surreal walking through the home after seeing it on video all these years. I'm 53 as of last month so I was 7 when he passed and I remember watching the news coverage of the funeral procession and the crowd gathered out front of the mansion. When i reached the family gravesite I felt this somber peaceful feeling come over me.As I got closer to Elvis plot I felt a jolt of electricity as if I were fixing to see him perform live. I truly believe it was his musical spirit I felt that lives on to this day. RIP KING

This was so great to see this video . Many tears along the way as I remember him as a young teen and following him on TV movies etc Thank you to you tube for putting this on your platform so all can enjoy Elvis .
This was on his last concert tour on June 19, 1977. He performed in Rapid City, SD two nights later, then a few concerts after that with the last one being in Indianapolis. If you watch the video of the RC concert he has the same jumpsuit on. This performance and the RC performance were for a CBS special which ended up being televised after his untimely death.
Awesome entertainer, I never got to see in person. But I grew up knowing his talent. And now, later in life; understanding what great talent and a beautiful soul that loved people. So greatful to see this, Thank you!
Even though Elvis seemed to be partially out of it here, the thing that amazes me most is that he connected with his audience as well as didn’t use or require pyrotechnics or big video screens in the background (not that those things were invented back then) or an amazing light show. Fans came to see him and he and his band members carried the show without all those extras.
He was most likely high as a kite on pills. I've been there with a terrible addiction, but when you are there you feel nothing but euphoria. You also don't realize how bad your speech is or how you present yourself.
Elvis was and is still the best singer ever.. His voice will live on forever.. I remember the day he died. As an eleven year old girl, I remember crying my eyes out along with the rest of the world. He will always be the King. RIP Elvis… We still love you and always will..

It's obvious he's not a well person here,....but his love for his fans and performing for them was the spark that drove his spirit right to the end.....legends don't die their greatness grows bigger as the time passes....Rip King
Yes absolutely right x he cared about his fans and people x he is just one of a kind...my heart melts every time a wacth this or his shows x I love him so much x❤❤❤💜💙💙💙
What drove him to an early grave was his damn manager, the greedy bastard" he only cared about his cash cow, "ELVIS" and the money he generated by his concerts. The Colonel.pushed him into an early grave because of the managers gambling habits. Elvis should have stood up to the A$$hole that he was but he was too strong out on prescription pills, ones to help him sleep, and ones to help him wake up. But because they were legal on his mind "they were safe " which they of course weren't. 😢.
For those of us that grew up with Elvis, this is definitely hard to watch, but despite his physical appearance you can tell he was a fighter right to the end and pleasing his fans was more important than his own health. I can only imagine what it would be like today if he was still alive today. He’s a legend and will never be forgotten by millions all over the world.❤️💯
To some extent of course it’s hard to watch but keep in mind he is still a young man here. What you see is bloated weight water retention. This is not hard to fix. What is more serious is the medication this man had to take to keep himself functioning. He had no business doing these concerts . Until the health was 100% .That idiot manager is top culprit for his only client ‘s demise. As for his fans I can only imagine what a rush it must have been to attend one of here concerts especially the pre 1974 concert.
Yes it is hard to watch, I always think, why didn't he go to doctors and made his health better, he wouldn't have died. I remember it clearly, I was 12 years old when they said on TV Elvis has passed away,... I came in the living room, just saw it..... And stood there totally frozen for 10 minutes. I just couldn't believe so young... that he died.... I was and still am a big fan.... I always rethink about that moment... My world collapsed. 😢😢

It’s good to hear that young people of today love Elvis’s music. He was and still is the greatest singer ever and I agree he is definitely Timeless.
Still giving a fine performance only two months before his passing and he had a large audience, which he well deserved! I'm so sorry about his health problems but he's free of them now in Heaven!
I am 77 and still adore Elvis. but seeing the state of him at this concert hurts. he so ill. God bless him he is at peace now. I was lucky enough to see Elvis in concert in Las Vegas in I thin 73. That's how I prefer to remember him. Fit and happy. I was at home when it came on the radio that he had passed. I cried for hours
Er war ein fantastischer Sänger mit so herrlichen Songs.Ich bekomme Gänsehaut wenn ich drandenke das er nach diesem Konzert nur noch zwei Monate gelebt hat.Lieber Elvis ruhe in Frieden.🙏👏
--- was meinst Du,liebe waltraut ? ---
OMG, I remember watching this with my mom after he passed away. She cried the whole time it was on. She loved Elvis Presley. This brings back memories. Thank you for uploading.😢😊
I'm a 74 yr old grandma & great, that has been a fan of Elvis since he first started his career. I love this man!! He died way to soon & so did Lisa Marie. Now there together! Blessings to u both.
How he did this knowing he was battling a bad drug addiction at this stage, I will never know. 😢 A true talent, a voice like no one else and the charisma to knock every woman dead in her tracks. He had it all, he really did. I wish he would of took time for himself and got straight, he was a bright light that dimmed way to soon. RIP EAP ❤
Yeah absolutely right and they just did the same thing with Lisa she should have been taken to a Hospital for help ! All very Disturbing and Outrageous Uninspiring SAD as far as I'm concerned
@@phereww Most addicted people do. But they are trapped, and until an intervention occurs, however that may come, the drugs will kill them. Please don't be snarky if you're being so.
I remember watching this concert on tv my heart was breaking and the tears flowed like a raging river out of control .you could see how hard this man was struggling RIP dear Elvis forever loved
I remember that concert too. I was also in tears and the next month left Connecticut and traveled to Memphis to visit the grave. But now, having just watched him in Madison Square Garden and listened to him, I can appreciate this concert a lot more. He doesn't move as much surely, and is carrying a few extra pounds, but his rapport with the audience, his sense of fun, and his incredible voice are not changed.
Elvis was a very caring soul. Sent from God to the earth. I love and miss him. I've loved him since I was 8 years old, I'm now 76 years old. RIP my sweetheart 😢😢❤❤
My son is a big Elvis Fan and has been since he was 9 years old, he is now 32 years old and still a huge fan. I know young kids under 20 that are big fans to this day. Elvis was the king of Rock. A God-fearing man at that. RIP Mr. Presley.
God-fearing, sure, but you'll never hear today's main stream media say anything good about Elvis Presley, a man who did more for others than any so-called celebrity whoever lived. How many Elvis fans know of Elvis Presley's connection to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis? Not many. Media types make stupid videos like this one, claim he died of drug abuse, claim Elvis appealed only to those of us who came of age in the good old days when freedom reigned in the USA. Today's media types lean towards the Commie cocksuckers who have taken over the whole wide world. Yes, R.I.P., Elvis, We love you, still, and God loves you.
@@xXEdXx17 It'a a long story, but to put it briefly, constipation killed Elvis, a serious, life-threatening constipation brought about by his love for his fans and basically over-working himself, acting the way he thought his fans wanted him to act...the good-looking great singer who had more girls to play with than anyone else. But that was not, in reality, the way Elvis was. Add the loss of his wife and daughter, and Elvis kept his facade alive and well...until the whole thing killed him. Elvis was a good man, a great man compared to most successful men, but he simply could not and did not handle being the Elvis Presley his fans wanted. Great question, here, Hon. Thanks for asking, and I certainly hope you do a little research about Elvis. If you do, you'll see how true my answer really is. Cheers!!!
Breaks my heart too. He was and as far as I have seen in 75 years the most gorgeous talented man ever born! He came in like a flame and went out like a rocket! My mother used to almost faint over his voice. I pray the Angels carried his sweet loving soul away to eternal bliss . I sure would like to go where I think he did.
@@Mimi-ip9xc And you have very good taste in men. You and so many more of us...I hope they give out free tickets in Heaven - and enough for all of us! 🥳
It’s 2022 & I listen to Elvis almost every night he sings me to sleep a lot of nights Thank you Mr Elvis Presley I find new songs & play them over & over🎤🎸🎹🎷he sounds good with nothing his voice is Great!!!!!
