My cousins were at his concerts there as well as the one at Hera arena. One of my cousins wives got a scarf. Elvis would get pizzas from Marians pizza in Dayton. You got to get one from there it’s awesome. My family is from Dayton.

I think it's awesome that you posted these videos and learn a lot of history about the king of rock and roll. Love the channel! I like this video. I have been an Elvis Fan since 1956 but only got to one concert 1d973 Aloha concert n sat 3rd row center n couldn't take my eyes off of him I never met Elvis but was friends with Charlie Hodge for years after Elvis died n he told me alot of great stories about Elvis over the years . I miss my friend Charlie. Elvis is looking down n saying " My Boy, my Boy great job" Something that comes to my mind, Charlie always said after the shows EP would come up to him n say "we did a great show" not I did a greatshow. Charlie loved Elvis 😍

You know, there's a folk belief in Jamaica that says when you die, you first retrace every step you ever took in life before passing on to the afterlife. I can't help but draw a parallel with what this channel does.

I was born and raised in Dayton. Lived the first 42 yrs of my life there then moved to my husband's hometown in SCarolina. Never got to see Elvis to my regret. Was busy raising our 6 children. Sadly all my family has passed and I haven't been back since 15 yrs ago. I was shocked how everything changed since I'd moved. Couldn't even find a place to eat!

You guys were in my hometown. I iced away 32 years ago. I’ve stayed in that hotel a couple of times and been in UD arena many times. It’s definitely had a remodel or 2 in the last couple of decades! My cousin got married in there (his wife worked for UD). Sorry you couldn’t get inside

I just listened to an interview on Rockology of a guy named John who after his sister Becky passed away- found a load of stuff, including cassette taped conversations and journals all related to her time spent in Elvis' entourage. I bring this up because she said they would rent a whole floor of hotel rooms for herself and others- I realize he was Elvis...but good lord that is really generous and expensive. I think I am beginning to get the picture regarding the number of people he supported and supported well- anyway, just my thoughts during this video

The Dayton OH arena officially goes on record as being terds. They could have just said No instead of giving you an excuse not to let you in. Thank you for sharing this I love all the memories this is exciting because we got to go in and see the rooms. Everyone seems so kind of nice especially the young lady. Sad that the other place wouldn't let you least walk in and give you a few minutes but it's their loss. Another piece of the Elvis puzzle. Thank you Mr. Spa Guy and Mr. Trey and Mr. Paul for the tour. A same that Paul's alumni college wouldn't let you guys see the Dayton Arena. What dumb donkey butts...0 Dayton Arena and the Radisson Hotel 1 for sure !!!!!!! I am sure the furniture has changed since then. When I worked in the hotel industry ever so many years they would change out the furniture...especially beds and bedding. Just depends on the hotel chain and wear and tear. Be safe and well. This is the concert my father wanted to take me to see Elvis when I was little, but with the recession we were in, via Carter in Office in the 1970's the funds just wasn't there for us.

I seen Elvis here in 74. I skate by this building just across the river lots of times. I live just across the river. Sorry UD was so lame. Skate Elvis. Fb, you tube. Awesome footage. There was a way you could drive up out of the basement witch is how Elvis exited the building. They may have changed that since the remodel.

Have you thought of going to Columbus and view St. John Arena off of the OSU campus? He performed there in 1974. I read that he stayed at the Hilton off of Olentangy River Rd. which is about a ten minute drive to the arena. Thanks.

I was reared in Ohio, between Dayton and Cincinnati in a steel making and paper manufacturing town called Middletown. I ran around Dayton quite a lot back in the 80s. Most of it was doing small pick-ups and deliveries for a factory I worked at but I used to go to some bars with friends from time to time there. In my experience people in Dayton can be rude and cantankerous in general but to be fair they can be like that in just about any big city in my experience but I've always considered Dayton the beginning of going north. In other words people seem to get more rude the farther north you go starting in Dayton. Maybe it's just my opinion but that's the way it's always seemed to me and then you get to Michigan, even worse and then Canada 🇨🇦! I drove rigs for many years and I've heard a lot of southerners get into arguments with Canadians on the C.B. radio, it's not a good mix.

Great video Spa Guy and Trey ❤ why Dayton arena, that was not nice. I thought about the time between this concert and when he passed away. It was about 10 months. Such a long time. Did the Colonel see that Elvis was tired maybe.

That’s not the best area by UD. Dayton is hit or miss on the people that live and work there. My cousin graduated from UD. I didn’t know Elvis played there. Super cool. I’m excited that I was at an actual place he put on a show!!
