Hi Ed....nice records and cds ...I believe ..that's the way it is.... mobile fidelity Sound lab CD came out in 1992 but I could be wrong. My all time favourite 70s studio album With my 2nd being elvis County... Great video... Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧
Ed, Of the 495 Elvis shirts (at least) you own. The one you're wearing in this vid is my FAV! If it comes up missing I have no idea who the scoundrel was who stole it!! Another great vid from The King's Court. I haven't rcvd my vinyl edition of the latest MOFI release yet. Hopefully soon. And I'll grab the CD as well. 👍
I've had more than a few LP's I've bought recently that the hole is off center and also some a lot of warping issues on audiophile pressing of various artist and albums. What's up with that? This seems to be a quality control problem in today's LP market in production. In the 80's, this was not an issue, never saw any LP, audiophile or just regular with the hole off center! Quality control is asleep on the job for sure. When I bought a UHQR from MFSL in the 1980s, the album was individually inspected and then a card was personally "signed" by the president of MFSL that showed the album was rigorously inspected and passed 100%. This stuff was not an issue back then! Oh, I bought two MFSL LPs of "From Elvis in Memphis" back in 1982, one to play and one to put back! Great album. The pressing is spectacular, I really don't see how MFSL can improve on perfection with the new One-Step pressing! Back in 1982 MFSL sold their LPs for $25.00 for single LPs and their double albums were $50.00, Due to inflation, $25.00 in 1982 is now worth $78.59 in 2023.
Thank You Ed i appreciate your new episode. I have all of the Vinyls/CD's except the new MoFi FEIM Vinyl (the FEIM MoFi CD is perfectly 👌 because the CD doesn't has any faults on the Disc or the Label like the Vinyl has😖...it's a real shame on this absolutely crazy expensive Vinyl Product). IMO the very best sounding 45rpm Double Vinyl Album it's the ORG (Original Recording Group) "Elvis Golden Records Vol.3 RCA LSP-2765" released in 2013👌
I also having been hearing some amazing reviews about That release. Maybe one day, I’ll purchase if the price is right, but my Tan label Album, imho, sounds phenomenal.
@@haraldtrittner4396 Yes, a Tan Label pressing and I’ve compared that one particular album with the mono original and stereo original and even the 1977 re-issue, and of course other pressings worldwide. I can honestly say that the Tan Label pressing is the best sounding of all. Little Sister, His Latest Flame, I Feel So Bad just shine.
I have the original MOFI and think it’s fantastic but the new one is also getting fantastic reviews so just ordered a copy. In the Ghetto sounds good even on YT videos.
These releases look great but just way too expensive. However I do have the TTWII CD and it’s great. I remember buying it on my first trip to Memphis in 1993😀
Hey Ed! Great reviews on the MoFi release man! I truly appreciate your thoughts and take. I will be picking up as well some MoFi CD’s like the Blue Hawaii and From Elvis in Memphis as well. TCB ⚡️⚡️😎☝️
I have the original, so see no need to get this. Don't understand why people go crazy for these , the sound difference is not worth the money they are asking. But I guess if you have money to throw around go for.🤔
Hey Ed, cool video!! I stopped collecting vinyl years ago after I lost mine to a basement flood 😢, over 3,000…gone, but I still enjoy seeing the new releases that come out. I do have the gold disc of That’s The Way It Is, and I agree the sound is amazing. I have several of the Mobile Fidelity gold disc’s, Queen, Def Leppard, Elton John…ALL of them are amazing and still in rotation to this day. Do you have other releases as well besides Elvis on the Mobile Fidelity label? Any particular likes? Cheers, have a great week!!
