I think that's nice that you did a man and then you choose the very right one an icon like Elvis Presley that was a smart that was a smart move you know that was a great
OMG! For men, I have a laundry list: James Dean, Clark Gable, Montgomery Cliff, Marlon Brando, Russ Columbo! I think secretly men have more of a beauty routine than women, they just don't talk about it.
Oh I agree about men not talking about their grooming or " beauty " routines though much of that has changed indeed. That said I would suggest Cary Grant.
Fun facts: E's first cologne that he liked and continued to wear throughout the years was Lenel by Lansky Brothers Clothiers on Beale street. Also where he bought alot of his clothes throughout his life and Mr. Lansky dressed E for his funeral. If you look at the bathroom death scene pics, he had some Avon bottles on the counter. Thank you for sharing this! TCB ⚡️
my dad used to wear it and so the scent takes me back to my childhood.!He used to fill his car shaped decanters with Brut. It’s so strong in a not good way, I’m an old spice person :)
Hi Laura ...wow the King, that was interesting. I would love to see some info on the beautiful Lana Turners skin care/make-up products. She was the epitome of Hollywood glam and a natural beauty. Thanks😎 Bridget
This was a good one Laura! I am a huge fan of ELVIS!!! 👑 I would love to hear about Spencer Tracy!! I think he was 1940 and 50s. He was an amazing actor!! He played in the very first movie FATHER OF THE BRIDE. He played the father and Elizabeth Taylor was the daughter!!👑💗☕☕💄👍🎀💐💟💟
I don't have any Vitalis, but I did have Vaseline and some pomade on hand. I put in the Vaseline first, rubbed in and really well and then the pomade after. It looks incredible! Thank you!
I was frustrated with dry flyaway hair once. I used vaseline to tame it down in desperation. Back then there was only shampoo, conditioner and spray available. It was horrible. I couldn't wash it out. A salon gal washed it out. She told me never to do it again! As if I wasn't embarassed enough!
I heard that when they performed his autopsy, his hair roots we completely gray! At the age of 43, his full was completely grey. That’s why they started dying it black. He was getting gray hair at the age of 25. It was hereditary, his father had a full head of gray hair at the age of 35.
Great video! Can you do a video for Desi Arnaz? Also, will you be doing any videos showing your thrift store buys? I miss watching the oufits you'd put together.
Ugh, Brute 33. The Axe cologne of the 60s and 70s. Another singer who sang at some of the same concerts as Elvis was Buddy Holly. After he died in a plane crash in1959, Buddy's brother went to the crash site and found his carry on bag which contained all his grooming items. There is a photo of it on the net, so will be easy to research. :-)
My Significant other uses vaseline in his hair but I doubt he knew Elvis did the same. I use the vaseline on my eyelids since watching your channel . It really has stopped my eyes itching and it really does help the eye make up stay on.
I have been wondering what kind of lashes and lash glues was used on Hollywood actresses in the early and mid part of the 1900s. We’re they disposable or did they last a couple of uses?
Vitalis was so popular. My dad used it. So was Brut and Canoe. In the movie Play It Again Sam, Woody Allen poured Canoe all over himself before a new blind date.
The problem is things don't smell the way they use to because they keep messing with the formulation so you're not getting the authentic fragrance of what they once wore, am I right?
My grandfather literally bathes in Brut 😂 Please continue doing more videos of men. Women are so supportive of them - wish it was also the other way around.
Laura, please consider Robert Pattinson..he may not be Old Hollywood, but as handsome as he is, I would love to know what beauty/grooming aids he favors.💜
