In August 2009, I made my sojourn to Graceland in Memphis Tennessee. Flew from Charlotte to Dallas to Memphis. From Dallas to Memphis the pilot weaved between the most beautiful white clouds that looked like mountains. I met people from all over the world. I stayed one street over from Beale Street and bought a t shirt that says "Damn right I got the blues". The trip was a magical experience.
Went to Graceland for the first time and when I saw this video I fell in love with the sundial jacket I have it and I’m very happy thanks to your video:)
Really??? That’s so great! I have been thinking about that jacket for months. I need to get it for myself, as well. Enjoy it and thank you for letting me know you bought it- it is just gorgeous!⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thank you-glad you enjoyed it! It is a really fun gift shop- they have some unique items, so I had to whip out the phone and record the experience. Take care! 💫⚡️💫
@@CC_Rider No problem! Lol.. yeah, since she was 14- the Mom said no to dates so Elvis convinced her by saying the Mom could come along on the dates..Mom said yes...after about 3 dates w Mom coming along, she finally let her go alone..but then Elvis asked her if he could bring her to Graceland to "raise her to be wife" (trying the same thing he tried in Germany w Priscilla's father)..it didn't work but he and Sandy stayed in touch forever! Elvis stayed in touch w Sooo many girls, I don't know how he kept track!
@@sandrahernandez569 oh yes! Now I’m remembering this story. Thanks for spurring on the memories regarding this story. I’ve always wondered what type of advice Gladys gave to Elvis (if any) about women, dating, marriage, etc. I always think that if Gladys had told him to be faithful, stick with one woman, etc. he would have likely done so. But then, on the opposite spectrum, I think that because Elvis and his mother were so close, that Elvis always needed to have female companionship, especially after she passed. In any case, I love my Elvis, but sure wish he could have been more faithful to his wife/girlfriends- it must have been hard on them.
I went back and watched your video and I love that try for a Christmas present if you and the children want to get together and get me something for Christmas that was classic I hope that they did get together and get it for you for Christmas
Haha! Thanks Alan! That video was a true stream of consciousness - mainly due to be surrounded by so many Elvis things that I loved. I didn’t get that artwork this year, but it’s my goal to have it in my home soon! I’ll make a video about it, if I do. Take care Alan!
Elvis Presley’s Memphis (the facility across the street from Graceland) has 8 different gift shops. The one in my video is referred to as the “Haberdashery” featuring replica apparel, jewelry and more. It is my favorite gift shop in the complex - mainly because of the replica Elvis clothing. I LOVE the clothing there. Really great quality as well. But really, all of the gift shops are pretty awesome there. I hope you get to visit soon!
@@trixier6505 I agree. In addition to a cooler time to visit, I also prefer visiting during a weekday, when the crowds are lighter. It’s great. Let me if you visit this gift shop- or if you find another you like better (and why). Combing my two favorites hobbies (shopping and Elvis) is like a mini heaven for me. Take care and stay well, wherever you are in the world! ⚡️🙏⚡️
@@trixier6505 very nice! I went to high school in Columbus, GA and to college in Atlanta. “Elvis Presley’s Memphis” is the new facility across the street from Graceland. There are hundreds of thousands of Elvis artifacts on display- it is pretty amazing. You will love it!⚡️💫
Hello Annie! This particular gift shop is one of many in “‘Elvis Presley’s Memphis” - the complex right across the street from Graceland. This complex houses most all of Elvis’ clothing, cars, etc. This particular gift shop is my absolute favorite as it has clothing for sale similar to the Lansky Bros. clothes that Elvis loved. I always look forward to visiting this gift shop. It’s the best!❤️⚡️❤️
