I remember watching the 68 comeback.just mesmerized.

@DeanandNish- Trying to get to you was a great Elvis song. What you watched was from his 68 comeback special. This was the first time in 8 years that Elvis had performed live because he took off that much time to do nothing but movies. I encourage you to react to a great Elvis song called I'll remember you live 1973 aloha from Hawaii. This is a great song and you will love it.

Was there a more versatile singer and entertainer?

I was a kid when they were promoting his comeback and was looking forward to it cause I and a lot of kids my age knew him from his movies; which later come to find out, Elvis was glad to be done with that contract so he could return to what he loved, performing. Elvis was nervous about his return being afraid it’s been too long since he performed live. Needless to say he took it all to a new level. I do wonder what would of happened to his career if he didn’t show such loyalty to his manager Col. Parker, who I believe wasn’t interested in the talent of Elvis only the money he could generate. Could go on and on but….
