Elvis was the COMPLETE PACKAGE as a musician (that could skillfully play guitar and piano), that came from the STREETS & CHURCH scene. NOBODY could teach that. He had God crafted talent only ever given to ONE HUMAN BEING. And he was the most humble and generous superstar that there ever was.

Your genuine reaction to Elvis is as beautiful as you are! If you start going down the Elvis rabbit hole you're in for quite an experience musically. With that said, there's SO MANY songs I can request, at this point, I'd say check out Suspicious Minds from 1970 Las Vegas, about 2 years after this tv special you just saw. Make sure it's the live version. You're gonna find that Elvis fans are a special bunch. Very loyal, toa fault sometimes, and very knowledgeable! We'll all help lead you down the Elvis path!
So lovely to see a new young person fall under the spell of Elvis!!! You mention the film “ Grease”. That film was released in 1978, 10 years after Elvis did his comeback special!! John Travolta represented the youth of the day when the men wanted to be like Elvis, hence his hairstyle and clothes. The thing to remember with Elvis is he lead the way , being the first to break down barriers with his music in the 1950’s, being an ordinary guy in the Army, making 31 movies, returning to live performing with a bang in his Comeback Special , opening up Vegas to the many stars that followed him and along the way singing and producing many genres of music, from rock and roll, country, ballads, and rockabilly, to his favourite genre ,Gospel, for which he won 3 Grammies. ,. He recorded over 700 songs( more than The Beatles and Michael Jackson added together!) He was the first to wear “Bling” , he was generous to a fault, giving much of his fortune yo people in need and many, many charities all his life, as he was born in poverty and knew what it felt like to be poor. To get an idea of how he really was as a person, do watch “ Elvis and the Black Community “ parts 1&2 It’s an eye opener! Thanks for reacting to Elvis. Love seeing and hearing how he affects people just the way he did when he lived! 🙏👌💕🕺

Elvis grew up very poor and in the black community Tupelo MS and Memphis Tn. Went to a all black church and sang in their choir. He was best friends with James Brown. No one had more charisma and God given talent.
