Imposible no emocionarse con la voz, la técnica y la personalidad del Rey, tocando el piano y dejando la voz en una fantástica interpretación. Elvis está vivo!
People let him down, doctors let him down and his body let him down, BUT HIS VOICE NEVER LET HIM DOWN. RIP Elvis, still loved still missed even after all this time xx
Poor Elvis, was obviously not well, at this stage, he sounds confused, and breathless, but when he sings, it’s like it’s sent from heaven ,what a voice, brilliant entertainer! No one can compare to Elvis! A lot of people let him down , and used him! Sadly missed! But we still have his music!! ✌️
So, so sad listening to him mumble and be so out of it. They were pumping so many drugs into him just to keep him performing and making money. This performance gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. So, so, so amazing.
@@bonscotttheflashinthemiddle He was acting confused! He was just joking around, thats why everyone laughed afterwards. Btw, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8KQMcp3WKOI.htmlsi=ot31hOHS7QAgaSOf
@@RaxaPKXD This was his swang song & it delivered. He knew he aint gonna be here for long. This show was like what...2 weeks before his death? Voice remains and the man is a legend through the ages.
2:34 That smile, I feel like at that moment it’s like you can still see the younger Elvis deep within, like he saying he’s still here and will always be.
That Young Elvis will always live on in spirit and through his music❤ To quote The Sandlot - "There’s Heroes and there’s Legends. Heroes get remembered, but Legends Never Die!"
Unfortunately a lot of his exhaustion was from unhealthy habits. It’s definitely possible to stay healthy with a busy touring schedule. If I was Elvis, I would have hired a personal trainer, a dietitian and gone to some kind of rehab if available
@@ramencurry6672 People didn't really think that way in 1977 though. He would have been put on diet pills and cold turkey drug therapy that would have killed him just as quickly. Like Marilyn, Elvis was sacrificed on the altar of popularity, used for profit by those around him while those who loved him were pushed out. An American tragedy.
You could hear him breathing so hard he could barely talk but when he starts to sing his voice is pure, strong and bueatifiul he doesn't miss a lick. Absolutely amazing. Elivs' music will live forever. He has been at the top of my favorites list for more than sixty years. He never grows old.
Always loved Elvis! Seen him many times, here in Michigan and in California... flew to Vegas ..he was always loved. My aunts boyfriend was stationed with Elvis in Germany.. sent my older sister an autograph on a small piece of spiral note paper. We thought we were the most popular in the neighborhood
It wasnt live. It was pre-recorded. You can see it when he broke at the end. Probably was still his voice, but a studio version. He was just meant to play along. Its sad how many in the comments will say how absolutely used he was (and he was), but not see the detail that by the end, he couldnt even perform live anymore, and its a question on if he was just a puppet for the another artist hired by the Colonel; singing songs for him in Elvis' tones, and left uncredited.
@@schribbler1592 This particular video is pretty weird. The vocals seem to be live but the instruments aren't. If you compare with this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gfnZbjFPSrU.html, which sounds like a raw live recording, you can tell it's the same vocals. In that version at roughly 3:34 he quickly says something like "hang in with it", and in this video you can hear the same thing at 3:18. The instruments here, including both Elvis's piano and the band, seem to be added later and are frankly a lot better than the original. They also seem to have stretched out his final high note in both versions for some reason, as you can hear him do a sort of "throat sound" and visibly stop singing at the end lol. The overall quality of the recording is also way better. I'm guessing they just touched up the entire performance to be even more powerful, as this was his final show as far as I know. Still, the vocals seem to be relativly untouched and it's pretty amazing that he was able to sing like this just a couple of weeks before he died. It's because of this I consider him one of, if not the best signer ever.
Yep this WAS an original performance but was heavily edited later to make it sound more.... emotive, well-rounded. Especially the ending. The original one is equally powerful but it a more raw way.
I cannot watch this without sheding a tear knowing he was near the end of his life. Forever in our hearts, rest in peace Elvis. 29th December, 2023, hi from down under.❤❤🙏🙏
I shed tears every time i see/hear this performance. A man who has been pushed way beyond the limit, produces this performance for HIS fans. GOD BLESS YOU ELVIS
He actually hated his time in films and felt that music passed him by and he really had to reinvent himself in the 70s bu definitely his decisions were purely dictated by Colonel Parker.
@@dewilew2137why are you being a pissbaby towards everyone in comments about him 💀he abused antihistamines, tranquilizers, and other opiates yes, and he overdosed on pethidines, either way i dont know why youre pissed, while yes he did take these knowingly doesnt give you the right to shit talk over his death, thats still an asshole move
@@johnjoyce341 Come on ! Elvis was an adult and could have said ENOUGH..he wasnt à teenager to let himself direct and manage his life!! When you are ab adult you can say stop and send people away..
Ive cried watching this...his body and health were falling but his beautiful soul still shined through his voice its really one of the rarest and saddest things caught on film. I love you Elvis Presley. I will listen and love your music until the day we meet. ❤ Wait for me.
Its a pretty sad video i agree.. It triggers strong emotions.. So many decades back, so many have changed, so many will change, but elvis is lost in the vortex of time way back on past. From one hand we have this beautiful song and from the one we know will have the same fate as him, lost in the vortex some day. Nostalgic, sad and should touching
When he's speaking, he's like a dying man 40-50 years older than his age of 42 at the time. When he's singing, he's transported back in time and gives all his life force to this performance. It's unfathomable how he was able to put together that much of a performance in that state and is a testament to all the talent and commitment he had. He was almost literally singing himself to death with any and everything that still remained within him.
Incredibly touching. He isn't well, walks slowly, says weird things, is tired, his face puffy and sweating. Then he starts singing and he's just... INCREDIBLE...His voice, his performace: an incredible strength, a perfect tuning, no fails, no weakeness, a hidden overwelming force gettin'out from his soul. Great, great, what a man
I’ll be honest I’m young and never listened to Elvis not once I always said he was overrated I never gave him a chance but I came across this video and now I see why he was so special
Yes it will be a long long time before we see a singer and entertainer who is thought of in the same way Elvis is and loved like Elvis is around the world.
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face!....
@@lalalala-rs4tjDid you ever listen to his records from 68 to 74? Now, that's his big voice! His voice was strong! He was lean and he looked great! How can you say he sounded great? He could of tried to get better! He didn't try to get better for Lisa Marie, when she was at Graceland he was sleeping, He could of spent more time with her.
Col.Parker didn't care one bit about Elvis, it always about the money. Elvis fired him twice than took him back. Elvis should never have re-hired him. He spent Elvis money like a drunken sailor. And he screwed him in other ways as well, too long to address it here.
Only trhough his divine voice he freed himself, even for a few minutes, the time a song lasts, but he flew so high he reached Heaven. So sad and yet so wonderful.
Most people don't realize how hard it is to sing powerfully and breathe normally without losing your breath, this is awesome considering He was out of breath at the start, great voice RIP
As a former chorus boy I was shocked that he was able to sing being that he was out of breathe while speaking in the beforehand. But at the end you can see he stops singing but the words still play, also he stops playing the Piano but the keys still sound. I got down to this performance but his laughter at the end told me the truth. He is still great though.
@@UncleRichard. He is actually singing and playing the piano. However this version just made the song sound better. The real version in on RU-vid and you’ll actually see him play the piano and he is really singing, it’s all him.
@@UncleRichard. I disagree, that was the back up singers taking over because you can hear his "ahh" of frustration when he cant carry it longer. then background singer jumps in. If he wasnt playing and singing, he probably wouldnt have looked like he was dying so much by the end.
God gave this man a gift. He passed away before I was born but he has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I thank God for the gift of Elvis Presley ❤
La mejor interpretación musicales de la historia, he visto muchas de mocharon Jackson, los hermanos righteaus y nada que ver con elvis, simplemente no tiene rival
Absolutely breaks my heart to see him like this, but his voice never let him down. So beautiful and the song is nice also. That smile just melts your heart ♥
He cant even breath normal at this point...witch makes it even xtra special, that he could sing like this.....just to show the world....IM ElVIS presley!!!!!
I would have loved to have seen Elvis live, but thanks to Colonel Parker, Elvis wasn't allowed to come to the UK... Your music will never die Elvis, it will continue to go on forever... Fantastic man, generations to come will also have the pleasure of hearing him sing, and watching his films...
This performance almost brings me to tears. He was such a talent but had no one looking out for him. There will never be another Elvis. Love you forever and always.
he obviously could never overcome the loss of his mother, and couldn't stop taking drugs as he can't escape the feeling of loosing her. This song is evident of the fact.
Elvis made this song be more than just a song. He is singing it like an anthem of love. I dedicate this iconic performance to my beloved husband who passed away ❤
My father passed away in January, he told my mother (who passed away in 2006) that he would take her to see Elvis in 1978, but he died in 1977. I do truly hope that that the 2 of them are in heaven seeing Elvis in concert right now in Heaven.
What breaks my heart is what a generous performer he was; even when he could barely stand up, when he was in agony, still he would drag himself onstage and throw his whole heart and soul and body and self into it. Most beautiful voice ever. X
@@slicerprime Freddie had it. You might argue that a key difference was that Elvis toured and performed almost to the end, however Freddie was recording music until 5 months before he died, and his voice was as good on Mother Love (the last song he recorded - in fact Brian May had to sing the last verse) as it was on Bohemian Rhapsody over 15 years earlier.
@@Bonita-1776 he wasn't dying, that deficiency causes diseases that can be fixed with an operation. He had a heart attack and there is only 2 types of heart attack.
i just looked up everything on his death investigation and you are completely wrong and id say deluded. It was totally related to drug reactions and an arrythmia. He was over prescribed pain killers that would've affected his heart in combination with the weight gain and drug allergies.
@@Bonita-1776 ur deluded, nothing of what youve claimed is in his death trials or his autopsy, he definitely had the deficiency but no claims or any proof of disease from it. @@marilynwillett804 I agree. He was a flawed person as we all are but he never denied Christ. I believe it was in Priscilla’s book. They talked about Scientology and Elvis said something like it is too much in the mind not enough heart.
@@smasher420 that is how I feel about Celine Dion. Such a great singer but no emotional connection. Comparing her to Whitney Houston. Whitney and Elvis put their whole heart and soul into a sing.

Everyone of his bandmates and production team were looking at him with admiration and concern, this was his last perfomance. A magnum opus homage before his untimly death. The world is at an incredible loss without even knowing it. He never stepped outside the states to perform, but yet his music remains true and relevant to this day. The Tears are running.
I love Elvis. He is now reunited with his daughter and she is with her daddy and son. May they all rest in peace. Prayers for all the family and friends.
Absolutely!!!!! Heartbreaking that his heart was so broken so many times and his health was bad, but he never wanted to let his fans down. His voice never failed and he was proud that his voice hit those high notes and never faltered!!!! He was a gem and I will always Love him.
He didn't want to do this he didn't want anyone to see him like this, but Tom Parker forced him to do it. I hated Parker hate is a strong word but it fits when it comes to Parker. Elvis was my friend for 10 yrs. up until his death. E. knew he was dying long before he actually did.I will love and miss my friend always. We had a short conversation in his final days i will never share that last talk i had with my friend because people tend to run off at the mouth about things they simply don't know what they are talking about. regards from the one and only Memphis Tn.
@P.J. Morris I hated Tom Parker, too! It makes me happy that it came out in the end how he exploited Elvis, and I am glad that he died broke and alone!
@P.J. Morris ...if you don't mind me asking, were you able to see Elvis one last time before he passed away, and if so, do you remember some of his last words to you?
Me too! I watched the movie about 10 times already and every time that scene gets me. Besides, I've read something about that performance; it wasn't in the concert schedule but Elvis absolutely wanted to sing it, as he loved Unchained Melody, but the band wasn't ready as they didn't have the time to do the rehearsal for it. So Elvis said, I will do it just myself at the piano, as long as Charlie (Hodge) shows me the accords (Elvis played instruments by heart as he was self-taught, you probably know it). During that concert, all musicians were worried about him as his blood pressure was sky high, along with many other health issues and the notes of Unchained Melody are high, so they put him under pressure for breathing and Elvis has already started to suffer from emphysema. But as always, he did want to do his best for his fans and went ahead and sing it.
Can't put more heart into a song more than this performance. Going thru all his pain he still manages to squeak out smiles at 2:36, 3:13 and 4:16. Those smiles will stay with me forever. God be with you Elvis.
I am sorry Elvis that so many people let you down 😢❤. I wish you didn't die, I wish you moved to a better place and is living happier and healthy life, with much love towards you. The move touch my heart ❤❤🙏
