Spy Guy, you are taking us where Elvis Presley went shopping. I was in Palm Springs one time after Elvis died. You showing us all the buildings. So sorry that one place got torn down. There are a lot of pieces to Elvis puzzle. I would of love to see Elvis in person. Palm Springs is a beautiful place. Ìs Trey with you or your wife with you to enjoy the town and desert. Anyway going to watch a second time to see and understand what Elvis Presley life was like in Palm Springs. Thank you for this video. It definitely fabulous for Spring.❤🎉😊

Good Monday Morning Spa Guy. Palm Springs,California looks very lovely,clean and charming it is very smart of Palm Sprigs officials to value old buildings , not remove but restore them. The Hardware store was very unique at that time , I am not surprised that Elvis would be a customer there. Also,Agree The background is incredibly beautiful and those mountains are breathtaking! That is the San Jacinto mountain. I use to live on the other side of it. Now I live a half mile from the Greenback Castle in Tennessee

In Memphis from what I can gather many different people did the shopping and it was usually at Giant Foods of America on EP Blvd..

@@SpaGuy thanks for the tidbit.. another tidbit I found out Elvis’s gold piano..some of his guitars and a Jerry Scheff guitar..some notable memorabilia from other well known artists are at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa! I will be making a stop there ⚡️

Spa Guy, I can see why it is called Palm Springs, had not seen footage of there before. It is beautiful there, seeing the palm trees, and mountains too. I can see why the Presleys enjoyed being there. (I wish they could have stayed married.) It was interesting to see where Elvis and Priscilla ate breakfast. I did not know an Alan Ladd (good actor) store had been there (beautiful building), and the grocery store Elvis would shop sometimes. I miss the Woolworth stores not being in Nashville anymore (my Grandma shopped at the one in Clarksville). I am glad the buildings that are being preserved there, what has been torn down in Nashville. It is very neat looking there too.

Thanks, Spa Guy! Greg McDonald was also one of the people, along with Sony Bono, who promoted the Palm Springs Film Festival at the Plaza Theatre. Greg was also Sonny's campaign manager. Yes...they always stole the mailbox at the Chino Canyon home. Elvis bought all his TV's from Ken Parker Hallmark TV in Palm Springs.. Greg has a dandy story about that. Read the book!

You’ll enjoy this episode of 60 Minutes that also includes a tour of Alan Ladd’s hardware store with Raymond Lowey, the most famous designers of all time. Who incidentally, lived just behind Elvis in Palm Springs.

That looked like such a cool place.. In the last 15-20 years it appears that Palm Springs has really embraced their history and stopped tearing down historic places prior to that they tore down a lot of places..

Hi Spa Guy, I really loved this report I had no idea these places even existed until now. There was one point you made regarding the restaurant where you stated that it's an unwritten rule not to ask celebrities for autographs no pictures no staring and its the same in Nashville. Well I thought most celebrities back in the days of old Hollywood would love to be recognised by their fans .and take a few minutes to speak to them. The real issue is if your a celebrity how do you deal with being recognised ? Nowadays there are way too many autograph dealers and the real fans are treated badly because they are treated as dealers themselves!! I do understand that that even actors and singers are entitled to privacy but speaking to your fans I would say goes with being famous . What are your thoughts? And finally if I saw someone famous in Nashville I would probably just approach them say hello and request an autograph as a keepsake and a great memory of meeting them. Take Care

This might be an odd question, but I was wondering if you know (or could find out) whether a certain story is true. Supposedly, during the filming of "Kissin' Cousins", Glenda Farrell broke her neck while filming the scene in which her character judo-flips one of Elvis' characters off of a porch, and had to wear a neck brace for the rest of the filming, only taking it off to film takes for a few minutes then putting it back on.

There are a few.. There is one in particular of Priscilla and Elvis that Trey and I have not been able to figure out the location of.. When we are there we are always searching for things that appear in the picture and have also asked locals..
