How fortunate are you enough to have interviewed her right before her death! I feel like every time I watch a video of someone who knew Elvis or worked with him has just passed. It’s sad. Seems like such a nice lady, great video thank you!
Great story, I hope her house and memories don't disappear. You struck gold with this once in a lifetime interview. Elvis felt right at home, he never acted like he was better than everybody else.
Billy, you did it again! Others may speculate, fantasize and imagine but you come up with the accurate, genuine history time after time! I appreciate your efforts and attitude. Thank you.
I just love her! She reminds me of my Mom, who also loved Elvis! I'm so sorry to hear she passed, what a wonderful memory they made that day with Elvis. Thank you Spa Guy for filming her story. If I were her family, I would treasure this video.
Wonderful bittersweet Elvis story! He seemed to visit a lot of ordinary people at their homes! Thanks to you Billy for bringing us the details of Elvis’s life to reality! Amazing but sad that you caught this sweet lady on her porch to relate to us the details of Elvis at her house shortly before she passed to meet her maker! One of your remarkable Elvis stories that catch people literally on there way to heaven to relate that little piece of this legend’s life! 👍🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️TCB⚡️
Wow what a great story and person! I can only hope I’m in her shape at 87! She lived a wonderful life it looks like! I wonder how she ever actually became friends with Elvis? Good job 🙏🏼

Well Done and a shame Gracelands does not have a research department trying to record and save interviews of people connected to Elvis, Thank God we have Billy and Trey
Another truly awesome piece of the puzzle. How cool would it be to have actual pictures of Elvis in your house that were taken in your house while you were there? RIP Ms. MItchell. TY for sharing.
Thanks so much for sharing this great video of your visit with Lura Mae, Billy!! What a sweetheart and so cool that you got to meet her and tour her home where Elvis came to eat some watermelon and relax before his show. RIP Lura Mae. ❤
Wow! This is absolutely amazing! And I love the sweet lady. How she doesn't consider and mind the financial worth of the article at all. She kept the memories all for the right and pure reasons. ❤
Incredible video!!! Another Elvis story you recorded just in time at exactly the right time. What a wonderful sweet woman to allow you into her home on the spur of the moment to share her special Elvis memories with you! I wish we could read the article she wrote about Elvis. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks for posting this incredible story, Billy. Hard to believe that 70 yrs. have passed since Elvis was in Lura Mae home and she still resided there. Sad to hear of Lura Maes passing, but so glad she was able to talk to you and give you such a great story.
I always enjoy your videos when they come out. Thank you for sharing all these great stories about the greatest singer of all time and people who knew him.
THANKS FOR BRINGING US ANOTHER AMAZING ELVIS STORY!!! LURA MAE MITCHELL WAS SO SWEET TO YOU... I JUST WISHED SHE WOULD HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS VIDEO AND READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE SHE PASSED! I THINK SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD! WOW! 70 YEARS AGO!
What a wonderful piece of history on Elvis. Sorry to hear of Lura's passing but so glad you were able to visit with her. She sure seemed like a fine person. Great video ...
Billy, thank you so much! What a wonderful story. You are so kind and gracious to everyone you come across. You are the very best at what you do, and I for one am very appreciative of your time and efforts. Keep up the great work!!!!
Hey Billy just wanted to say love what you do this video is one that stuck out to me more that some keep doing this not only for us generations down the line
Home run king knocks it out of the park again!!!! Amazing story, Billy. That's a once in a lifetime type interview. Lura Mae seemed the sweetest lady. And to have those pictures taken in that home....Wow! Side note: Her husband had a heck of a 45 RPM and 8-track collection going on there....Just loved this video. You never cease to amaze, my friend. Until next time, take care. And may Lura Mae rest in eternal peace.
Wow! What a sweet lady! And an incredible video!!! Thank you Billy for all your videos. They cheer me up every time I watch one. It wasn't long ago that I saw a video of yours over at the Nashville Mausoleum, you were showing the cross shaped bldg part, but you happened inadvertantly on to the resting place of Dottie Rambo. She is part of the fabric of my childhood...and a heroine of the faith to me...It was so precious to me to see that!Just a sweet surprise while watching a great video of yours! I grew up on Southern Gospel Music...And now, Here, I see that this sweet lady, Lura Mae who seems to have been some kind of concert happenings reporter, maybe? Her " Headquarters" sure looked to be in very nice & neat order!) I wonder if she was some kind of radio station buff...Anyway, I see on her wall next to the Elvis pics, pics of The Talley Trio, and a mention of David Phelps, and in another place the Gaither Vocal Band...looks like Kevin, the guitar player...but anyway...How COOL! It's unbelievable that she lives in the very same place where those pictures of Elvis were taken. Thanks again for another great video!! Truly enjoy them!! ❤️
Love this!!! Incredible first hand encounter this lovely lady had, even more incredible Lura Mae was still living in the same house, thanks Spa Guy another fantastic story! This blew my mind 😊
