TeteFutuito, AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN And, your "meaty" lovely comment is truly "well done." Few people recognize that Elvis Presley has anointed voice and can sing bass to opera. Thank you, Sis
WHAT WOMAN /ELVIS LOVER WO\ULD NOT WANT TO HEAR HIM GING THIS SONG? ELVIS HAD NO IDEA THE IMPACT HE HAD ON OTHERS..HOW MUCH HE HELPED GETTING THROUGH THE ROUGHEST OF DAYS IN OUR LIVES JUST BY LISTENING TO HIM, HIS VOICE, HIS TALK, HIS LAUGHTER...HIS SINGING..WHAT A TALENTED MAN
It’s apparent you aren’t musically inclined As Elvis got older his voice got thinner and higher It definitely was not stronger in 1975 than it was in 1970
Elvis voice got stronger from a different registry that this talented man had God given obviously his voice actually did get better some people try to compare to the younger voice you can't all our voices change let alone singing voice his changed and became operatic absolutely true and if u question me there are quotes from opera singers like the great ones who will tell u that his voice became that bono from U2 said that too so his voice if he wanted to could sing that genre too there is a recording I heard it with Elvis playing around between recording songs and he is doing operatic omg I was floored yes he did about 2 versus it was spot on in his latee years he could sing opera listen to frank Sinatra at 25 and then 50 listen to axel rose at 25 and 50 listen to perry from journey at 25 and 50 u will see with all of them there voices definitely changed but none of them sang opera ....enough said
I listen to Elvis everyday he makes me feel better too. I think everyone around me is tired of it but afterward I feel better and more alive too. I think I'm an addict LOL.
When operasinger Kiri Te Kanawa was asked who she thought had the greatest voice throughout time, she answered "the young Elvis", Pavarotti and John Lennon were BIG Elvis fans, Freddy Mercery said that he never saw himself as in Elvis' league, Madonna called him God, and Phil Spector was so blown away over the 68 special that he told a journalist "you have no idea, no I mean you have absolutly NO IDEA how good he really is !), I have over 100 eksamples like this, but not more space.
I have respected this man my entire life. I am 52 and alone its ok but i hope when i am dead...i pray to my father in heaven he will allow me to know this gentleman. my wife and my daughter,,,who i lost 10 years ago....the only man that saves me frm suicide is him and his voice
That's so sad but sweet. Jesus and Elvis get me through every day. I really hope he's in Heaven when I get home. My Mom loved him so much. I like to think they've been having a great time together praising the Lord!
Please, don't even type that. You are loved by God and I'm sure many others. Reach out if you ever need to. I'm happy to listen friend. Do you know that EVERY person on this thread loves Elvis and "just get's it". I would consider Elvis fans some of the best people you'll ever run across. And we all know that Elvis was emotion put to music...with perfect packaging. I listened to this little gem on loop over and over again while doing some accounting for my little business. Elvis has been a large part of my life with nothing but positive to show for it. The point is since you are an Elvis fan, you're family. You get it. I'm sure there are hundreds of other Elvis fans who would like nothing more than to help you when you get down. Reach out anytime.
Elvis was good enough to start a song without backup and his band was good enough to join in as soon as they figured out which song to play. Few singers sound good without any backup. Elvis' voice is never drowned out by the band like many of today's singers.
Fabulous, huge beautiful singing voice, wonderful melody, lyrics and a very nice, an extremely extravagant, happy and very charming appearance. Thanks✌👑👼🌹❤
OH MY!!! I DID NOT KNOW HE HAD SUNG THIS SONG!! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO HEAR HIM SING IT..OH WHAT A THRILL!! ELVIS COULD SING THROUGH YOUR SOUL! TEARS FALLING!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING ELVIS SINGS BUT THIS IS BREATH TAKING!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
What a voice, wonderful, God Elvis why did you leave us, part of us went with you when you left us, you will never be forgotten , we love you sssssoooooooo very much. Thank you darling for all the times I spent listening to your wonderful records, Love you yesterday, today tomorrow and always, x
I alway said that every song he ever covered, he made the original just look like a first take, and his version of the song just perfect as it must be.
It's a Glen Campbell song Glen wrote himself actually, first released on a 1961 single little record, in my eyes that's the best version of the song, love Glen's young voice lol, so much better than his 70's years, I'M TIRED OF HEARING RHINESTONE COWBOY Great song! Great musicians! Great music.
The band/backup singers had to always be prepared to sing ....whatever...Kathy Westmoreland was told from the day she started singing backup/high voice for Elvis that she just needed to be ready for anything...and they were...fantastic, important part of Elvis' on stage greatness!
this just cracks me up I dont believe he was planning on singing this song that is was in the line up but yet his band picked up the song that quickly and off they went, totally awesome!!
Holy moly, what an incredible singer he was! Love that part in the beginning when he says «turn around, look at me», and the women goes nuts. Only one Elvis, the King, noone comes close imho.
ELVIS, YOU WILL STAY IN MY HEART FOREVER♥️ YOU GAVE THE WORLD SO MUCH OF YOURSELF. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. YOUR BEAUTIFUL SWEET, SWEET SPIRIT AND MAGNIFICENT VOICE THAT GOD BLESSED YOU WITH. YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE YOU TOUCHED WITH YOUR LOVE♥️ REST IN PEACE SWEET FRIEND💕 TCB⚡TLC⚡9-23-2021
Lovely song, beautiful man singing it, Elvis we love and miss you more each day, thank you for all the pleasure in my life listening to your beautiful songs and your amazing voice.
sdcashman, The Vogues and other artists jumped at chance to have Elvis Presley sing their songs so they could get paid more than ever they had and so people could actually "get" story of song - from one powerful, passionate, voice of an anointed man - unmatched, unsurpassed. Even one of the greatest gospel quartets ever "backed" Elvis, "accompanied." Evis Presley did not need OWN songs, he clearly "commanded" their success! "They" have ..... with Elvis, it takes only one! Love, Sis
I hope Glen Campbell saw this, he'd be so happy to know Elvis did a cover of one of HIS songs he wrote himself, being the huge Elvis fan he was himself, unbelievable. And it sounds so good to! Never realized how perfect this song sounds for Elvis until I saw this video pop up! I was not let down. I just wish there was an official studio recording done!
Wow! Glen Campbell wrote this song and you do it justice Elvis. I will look for you and Glen Campbell in heaven and then you both can turn around and look at my smiling face. Thank you.
Most viewed show, ever in the world still today, Elvis' Aloha from Hawaii; Most #1s; Top 10s; Top 20's; Top 40s; Top 100s in the 20th century; Most charted act and highest point totals over as accumlated by Joel Whitburn of Billboard Top 40; Greatest holiday album ever? Elvis', earning a diamond award and collectively selling over 20 million copies; Greatest selling Christmas album of 1973? Elvis;-) (different album than the one cited above); Only leading man to never make a movie that lost $
Wow he should have took the time to do this one. It seems to me there were so many songs he wanted to cover and out of the frustration of that scenario he would just burst into song spontaneously to get it off his chest.Beautiful if short interpretation by the King!
The music bizz peged Elvis the king, not the fans. We just bought a gizillion records. He plays piano quite well. Suck it up haters, this guy sang to his own king, and marched to his own drum. B.
Power. Emotion. Genuine. Pleasant. Brilliance. And then (at the end), he basically just shrugs it off and goes on with the show as if was nothing. Hands down, this is very close to being at the top of any and all of Elvis recordings. Really, very thankful that you put this one out there. I had no idea.
Most #1 albums for a solo artist in the 20th century? Elvis... So, you see, the people have spoken, and the proof is in the numbers, and frankly, I have left a whole host of other ones out of it. Chuck Berry, in fact, only had one (1) number one song, and why you act as if he was somehow held back when Elvis, consciously or not, helped open the doors for him and other blacks is beyond me. Also, BB King himself said this: "When they named him the King, they named him right. Game, set, match
