best showman Elvis was and always will be the king. I am 25 years old and from the Czech Republic. But Elvis got under my skin immediately after I heard a few of his songs. A fantastic and unique personality.
WHAT NOW MY LOVE What now, my love, now that you left me? How can I live through another day Watching my dreams turn into ashes And all my hopes into bits of clay? Once I could see, once I could feel Now I'm numb, I've become unreal I walk the night, oh, without a goal Stripped of my heart, my soul What now, my love, now that it's over? I feel the world closing in on me Here comes the stars tumbling around me And there's the sky where the sea should be What now, my love, now that you're gone? I'd be a fool to go on and on No one would care, no one would cry If I should live or die What now, my love, now there is nothing? Only my last goodbye Only my last goodbye
"magnifique" interprétation "du KING ELVIS PRESLEY DE CETTE CHANSON FRANCAISE DU "CHANTEUR ET COMPOSITEUR " GILBERT BECAUD " quand j'écoute cette chanson " j'en ressort boulversé d'émotions " les deux versions " emplies d'émotions" merci pour le partage;
I can see Elvis at this age standing stage left, a dozen or so singers, artists whatever challenging him saying you dont have it no more, he says, " Hell, I'll go on first." Takes the stage belts this song out and when he is done looks stage left, grins and says, "Whose next?" Mic drops and walks off stage right. Everyone stunned backstage just crap their pants. Only one Elvis son. Period.
I wish Elvis had done this in the studio. It is great live, but would be even more spectacular with all the studio offered. Roy Orbison's version is great, but Elvis is better.
love Elvis his voice was so touching he really could talk to you in his songs. poor guy probably didn't have anyone really to confind in a talk to but his mom a god. . I believe sometimes Elvis was a desendent from god to teach us how to love a help people a lift their spirits because he did it so well a even tho he was human he hurt just we all do a make mistakes. I also believe he fell into a word of fortune a fame that just got to over whelming for him a he got lost in it a neglected the things that meant the most to him like his family a after he lost everything earthy he loved he began drifting into a world of make believe friends a drugs a lost reality of. what really was going on around him in his golden prison he isolated himself from the world I believe in my personal opinion when Elvis was alone the real religious man came out a read his Bible sung Gosple songs a meditated a prayed alot a constantly repenting of his sins in private a even tho he was climbing that emotional a burden mountain he so sadly sung about on stage god was testing him elvis health began failing on him a it scared him a made him feel depressed a drif farther into a dark a grey world. that was leading the lost sheep Elvis back to God I believe he found that peace he sung about a took God's hand a god called him home. a place I believe Elvis long to be a go. they said his last song at Graceland before he died was. BLUE. EYES. CRYING IN THE. RAIN. THAT TELLS ME. HE TRUELY HAD HEAVEN ON HIS MINd a. Being. With HIS MOM. again w No More PAIN SEPARATION Or His BLUE EYES CRYING in THE RAIN anymore he could finally be w god a his mom forever. his wish came true when he closed his eyes he was finally HOME.
It sounds to me at times like the background singers and orchestra drowned Elvis out. I thought the 1973 broadcast was better, because you could hear Elvis' voice better!!!
