I can see Elvis at this age standing stage left, a dozen or so singers, artists whatever challenging him saying you dont have it no more, he says, " Hell, I'll go on first." I wish Elvis had done this in the studio. It is great live, but would be even more spectacular with all the studio offered. Roy Orbison's version is great, but Elvis is better.
love Elvis his voice was so touching he really could talk to you in his songs. poor guy probably didn't have anyone really to confind in a talk to but his mom a god. . It sounds to me at times like the background singers and orchestra drowned Elvis out. I thought the 1973 broadcast was better, because you could hear Elvis' voice better!!!
