August 01 is celebrated as Emancipation Day in T&T and it is a day when Trinis pay homage to their African heritage through music, song, dance, lectures and a grand street parade in which everyone is dressed in African wear.

yes, and they look lovely. I will be saying the same when Diwali and Indian arrival day comes. I will never forget or forgive the disrespect from the Indian community for this emaciation. Recently the Ukraine disrespected the indian God and you all were mad. I hope karma comes to you all and other countries keep disrespecting your culture and traditions like the Indians were disrespectful for black culture and holidays.
