We did Mardi Gras 3 weeks ago. Going on Elation again in October. I like the smaller ships much better, MG just too crowded and busy. Great vid to help get excited about Elation! Thanks
We did like the Mardi Gras and all the fun things that it has. But, it is so nice to come back to smaill ship every once in a while. Feels like a much more relaxed cruise!
LOL! I am not a complainer! I don't think they got loud till around midnight and I kept thinking that they have to go to bed soon. lol. I don't think they were old like me
Awww thank you for posting this, watching it back home in Scotland as im trying to keep up with my brother, who is on the boat as a performer on the playlist cast. Also great to see Gabe in his cruise director best 🥰
Looks like a fun time so far! It’s been a few years since we’ve done a smaller ship. Last year was Harmony OTS which was amazing for the shows, walking around Central Park and Royal Promenade. However, it felt packed, particularly on sea days. Buffet tables were hard to get sometimes. We’re on Liberty OTS in December, slightly smaller and off-season so be interesting to see differences.
We loved the Harmony! But your right it can be busy! People everywhere. We haven't tried the Liberty yet. I'm sure you will have a great time. We really liked the smaller ship, with smaller crowds.
Y'all are so cute! I'm currently planning a 5 day for the hubby and I , late July. We're 50 something crew lol I wanted to see which ships were more for the older crowd. but still fun. Did you use a travel agent or book everything yourselves?
TYVM! We really liked the Elation. Definitely a smaller ship, but there are also a lot less people. We really liked having a little elbow room. We typically book it all ourselves and then turn it over to our TA. We are partnered with @Caribbean Breeze Travel. Jim is great and will help you book your perfect cruise. ( If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us also!)
We are on this ship Jan. 8, 2024. We always stay in Port Hole rooms. We have a room on Empress Deck 7. What room was yours? It looks like they've been upgraded. The door is definitely new.
Can you please tell me what hotel y’all stayed at I’m looking for a hotel when we get ready for our trip in July we coming in a few days early. Please help with address to if you can remember 🙏🏾🙏🏾 glad yall had fun this will be our first time on this ship very excited 🎉
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Blount Island. It was great for the one night stay! Only 5 minutes to the port the next morning. Here is our review video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UB-_TZkHiII.htmlsi=M_055Y6uvMezLq5Z
I did my 1st cruise on elation for my 54th birthday solo and book my 2nd on same cruise for my 55th birthday 28th of October i like to experience other ships what would you recommend i been booking my own trip
This is different, using the 360 camera to show you boarding. Much better than what most people do and show the strangers in front of them boarding. I came to watch the vlogger and would rather see the vlogger's face.
Thanks! The 360 camera is a new, neat little camera that I am trying to work into the footage. Just learning how to edit the raw footage. Thanks for the input! Didn't think of it that way. Always thinking the viewer wants to see what we see. Weird to think people want to see me. Lol
I'm in the distinct minority when it comes to the point of view shot when boarding. If Scott films you from behind, I'm cool with that. It's filming strangers that is not what I want to see. But that's me. You look beautiful Kim.
