I think this is my favorite video of yalls so far! The ship definitely did look crowded, but giving everybody in the family a chance to review things was a cool touch ^_^
@@guiltysparkmusicofficial Thanks man! Trying new things every cruise to see what works and what doesn't. The family is slowly getting more comfortable on camera which helps a lot as well. Every time we get home from a trip I think of something I'd like to try and then we have to wait for the next trip... Fortunately the next one is less than two weeks away! We are heading to a theme park this weekend for Labor Day... It's not a cruise so it won't be as popular but it'll make for a fun experience. Thanks for watching as always!
@@JayCanell Our next MSC cruise is sadly not until January. Worse than the line for the slide, the go-karts was nearly 2 hours (and a bunch of people behind us in line waited that long and didn't get to ride). Haven guests did get to skip the go-karts line but we weren't in the Haven for this one... We will fortunately get to experience that on the new NCL Aqua next spring. Thanks for watching!
@@directorsbiggestfan4275 We were on the Encore July 21-28... It takes a few weeks to get things edited and published. Hopefully one day ship internet will be good enough to upload footage but it's not quite there yet!
@@cadencooper7565 The ports were fine, it was the ship that was crowded (Norwegian Encore). I suspect things will be better for you on Princess! The ports never felt overly crowded but hopefully you have better luck than we did!
@@cadencooper7565 We just got back... We were on the ship July 21-28. We were unlucky weather wise and all of our port excursions were cancelled/changed due to the weather but I've heard it's been better since (though there was a terrible landslide tragedy in Ketchikan a few days ago).
@@fallguy4209 I think it's mostly because the ship just isn't designed for Alaskan itineraries so the indoor spaces are extremely crowded. Hopefully it won't be as bad for you guys... Happy sails!
@@FamilyAtSea The colours are very nice and vivid! Were they colour corrected? We just did the Aug 25 - Sept 1 trip to Alaska onboard the Encore. First time on a cruise, we had a grand time!
@@berniecalo01 Nope, the Pocket 3 isn't a perfect device but it's great for the size and price! Happy y'all enjoyed the Encore... Hope you had great weather!
@@FamilyAtSea First and last day yes, but misty and a little rainy in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. I have the first Osmo Pocket and the Osmo Action 3 but debating whether to get the Pocket 3 or upgrade my Sony A6400 to an A6700 for stabilized video. But in an environment such as a cruise I definitely would use the Pocket 3 more. Barely used the A6400 on the trip. Anyway, thanks for replying! Great video!
@@berniecalo01 I just bought the Sony FX-30 for the tips videos I do... Great camera but I don't know that I'll use it outside my home. We board the Utopia of the Seas on Monday and I didn't bring it for the trip. Thanks for watching...I hope you're able to cruise again soon!
@@Jawsonsports We were on the Encore July 21-28, which is supposed to be the best week of the entire summer, luck just wasn't on our side this time! We head back during the same week next summer on the HAL Koningsdam so hopefully we will have better luck!
Yeah. The first time we went was in June 2020 on NCL Bliss and it rained 6/7 days. Went on Celebrity Millennium in May 23 and it was beautiful all week. I was concerned about it being cold/rainy all week last Oct but it turned out great. Many people wouldn’t consider a shoulder season cruise but I’d do it again in a heartbeat
@@Jawsonsports I'd like to try shoulder season in May before the snow has melted since there wasn't much left in July! We are booked through July 2025 but maybe 2026. Hope you have an amazing cruise!
@@blissfuljoy6049 This is bit up in the air and I've had trouble finding a conclusive answer. The local government passed a law saying only zero emission cruise ships would be able to go to the fjords beginning in 2026 (zero emission cruise ships don't currently exist). I've read that they may have pushed back this date to later than 2026 but I haven't been able to find anything official saying that, which means 2025 would be the end of them for now. I'm hoping this changes but I'm not sure if it will or not!
@@user-ye1ns7hl9tyes you have to find the porters like at every cruise port and drop it off with them. Make sure your tags are on your luggage. It’s a free service but tipping is appreciated. They’ll deliver your luggage around 3-5 pm
