The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the New York Knicks and are now down 2-0 in the NBA Playoffs. Joel Embiid said that “a bunch of fouls is unacceptable” and that the 76ers will go on to win the series as the better team. Did you see the ticky tack fouls Brunson got in the first half? Maxey gets fouled TWICE at the end of the game, and that's not me saying it, it was the NBA report that came out and said today he got fouled two times on that play, and he Joel is not allowed to get mad his boy got mugged? Really?! Now Lowry shouldn't have thrown it, Tobias should have blocked out, Maxey shouldn't have tried to pass the ball, sure all that is true as well. It was still a blown call that cost the game. And back to Brunson, never seen anything like it, except oh yeah, Trae Young like 3 years ago. J thought they got rid of those jumping into guys to draw a foul but I guess not in NYC in the playoffs for some odd reason 🤦‍♂️

Finally, hearing someone acknowledge how Lowry and Nurse should've gone for the timeout PRIOR to the chaos, not after it's been tossed in and possession isn't clearly determined. We see it all the time to save teams from the 5-second turnover when the ball needs to be thrown in. Not to mention they had PLENTY of time for a clear shot attempt at the end of the game. Instead, they tossed it between Maxey and Embiid and let the latter toss up the last shot. It's like they'd already given up, and then they turn around and complain about fouls.

He wasn't. They're right in the discussion here. Nurse was holding his hands above his head ready to call a time out but then puts them down after he sees that Lowry eventually gets the ball to Maxey. Look up the play from an angle on the baseline behind the rim. He's clearly holding his hand apart, not calling a time out yet. He *does* try to call one once Maxey falls over but by then it's too difficult for the refs to clearly determine whether Maxey has full possession of the ball still and then Maxey tries to shove the ball to someone else.

@@dylanwinter6313 The refs also reviewed that play where Lowry hits Donte in the face and said it wasn't a foul because Donte had already lost the ball, which only makes sense if you're just allowed to hit people in the face if they don't have the ball I guess. Sometimes their logic is questionable, and just because they say the contact is marginal doesn't mean anything. We can see on video that he pushes with both arms fully extended and Hart is pushed backwards, that's the definition of a push off, I don't buy it just because they said it on the 2 minute report.

Aside from Embiid's body language, what's up with his eyes? (Edit 2 days later - Just came out he's been playing through Bell's palsy) You see it every time he shoots free throws, he's rolling them in the back of his head & blinking out of sync. You could also see it in game 1 when he was lying on the ground thinking he was injured again. It's clear there's some injury or eye issue bothering him.

I hate agreeing with Nick, but also blamed Nurse and Lowry. As a Knick fan, i was expecting a timeout as soon as Brunson hit that lucky 3, didnt happen. I then expected a timeout from Lowry to advance the ball to half court, bro tries to force an inbound pass. I was completely flabbergasted that they didnt call a timeout preinbound pass. Ill take it though! Go Knicks!

Embiids head is down because he has an eye injury. He’s been wearing sunglasses for 3 days. The 2 min report came out and said that a TO should have been granted and that Maxey was fouled twice, and that the push on Hart was a correct no call. So literally this entire segment is incorrect. Im sick of this foul argument. For starters Maxey pushed off of Hart, so to me thats only fair to let it go on the other end, and the league should be ashamed of themselves for omitting that. Secondly, they overturned an obvious foul call earlier in the quarter. Sixers got the benefit of the doubt twice and the Refs evened it out when they didn't call timeout on the inbounds pass. Just another star player and star coach looking for assistance from the officials, and crying about how unfair things are when they don't get it.

My biggest problem with the refs is that throughout the whole game they were calling bs fouls and then in the last minute they stop calling clear fouls. You can't do that. I know they like to "let it play" in the clutch minutes but brunson clearly grabbed maxey's jersey.
