It's quite neat how in the games where Anna is a unit, the emblems recognize her even by name. Meanwhile in games where she was just the person running the secret shop the emblems only vaguely remember her. And Ike never met an Anna so his response also is justified.
As convoluted as Japanese games can be, it is amazing they don't get tripped up on lore all the time. The poster children of Metal Gear Solid and Kingdom Hearts are surprisingly consistent.

Ike has a Bad run in with Shopkeepers. Aimee was trying to hit on Ike in Radiant Dawn and Ike was oblivious and just wanted to buy equipment. I think Ike is more baffled that Shopkeepers are not normal and not that a kid is selling stuff.
Does anna apear in telius games? from what i remember she was only in the tutorial as the narrator, which didnt include any of the playable characters right?
True but also if I'm not mistaking in PoR and RD are the only games were anna is only seen a guide for tutorials since in those games there are diferent merchants that travel with you

The commitment to the bit of having Anna appear in so many games but it's not technically the same person, they're all sisters, is one of my favorite little things about this series
I am curious to see her interaction with Emblem Veronica. It would also be quite funny that Veronica hasn't really interacted with Commander Anna in FEH, but gets to hold conversations with Engage's Anna over six years later.

@@dinodude4039 They probably aren't the same Annas but wanted to include an identifiable easter egg. Actually now that I think about it, most Annas have similar outfits despite being different individuals. Like in Awakening there were two Trickster Annas and like 5 merchant ones in a DLC and each set has the same outfit.

Corrin would have as well or they at least know that there’s multiple Annas per their supports. Robin would also have met at least two Annas, and technically Lucina could have as well.
Debatabley if they have memories from heroes they'd each know at least 3 Anna not including their own (Awakening Anna, Commander Anna and New Year's Anna (another version of Commander Anna, but still)) and if they were in Warriors then there's a 4th, I believe that would be Corrin, Camilla, Robin, Lucina, Lyn, Celica, Marth and Tiki

There’s no point where Cordelia had joined up with Chrom where he hadn’t met “Marth” let alone seen her real face while with Fates, there’s no point where all of the Hoshidans and Nohrians agree to work together until pretty close to endgame of Revalations, and even then they’re not as lax about it for a good while. Meanwhile Celica’s characterization in Warriors despite being voiced by Lindbeck is more akin to Gaiden rather than SoV. As for Heroes, it depends on which version of the characters get drawn from versus which ones the Emblems are drawn from as there’s multiple timelines at work for a good chunk of them. For instance the Fates child units in that game are implied to come from the Endless Waves DLC story as their vanilla appearances all greet you with “Nice to meet you”, something the Kanas came up with before they were all forced to go back to their respective timelines and Deeprealms. Also Robin and Lucina would know waaaaay more than just 4 Anna’s (I count at least 14 different ones in Awakening) while Camilla and Corrin would know at least a fifth as well in your hypothetical (the Anna at the Deeprealm gate whom you’d first pass to be able recruit that game’s Anna and save subsequent future Annas too).
i like the detail that the emblems from newer fire emblem games (3ds onward pretty much) recognize her better, since not only has anna been actually recruitable in those games, but also the newer annas do look a smidge different from the older ones, and engage anna does more closely resemble, say, fates anna than she does gba anna
There are canonically multiple Annas in Fates, as you can replay Anna on the Run. If you have Anna recruited she will have dialogue along the lines of “I gotta help my sister”

(It’s the same Anna but she pulls the “You must’ve met my sister” schtick on Corrin to try and get them to buy more flowers. Also with M!Corrin’s S-support with her additional Annas get mentioned when playable Anna is trying to figure out the wedding invites).
Considering that Corrin could marry her sister, that makes sense. It's funny to think that Corrin (and Robin) could have in-laws spread over multiple worlds.
I like how her existence is pretty much a multiversal thing that is nearly always going to happen. It's a natural course of the fire emblem universes to eventually have a shop keeper named Anna around at some point. Also in engage she is some sort of nurse joy level genetic monster
@@Rezuvious Yeah, Awakening made that canon with the Outrealm gate, which was continued in Fates with the Dragon's Gate, though I don't think just anyone can use them. The Annas are canonically able to use them, but I believe the characters in Awakening/Fates need the Anna at the gate to "guide" them through it.

Ike is like the only FE protag who has literally nothing special about him. He's not royalty, no special powers or prophecies, Ike didn't even inherit his mother's ability to hold the Fire Emblem like his sister did... And yet he's still the most badass MC we've ever had
There was this really amusing conversation in Fire Emblem Warriors where if you get Anna and Celica to A rank, Celica will express her confusion over all the fuss about Anna (since Echoes was one of the very few instances where Anna doesn't make an appearance), and Anna becomes legitimately excited over finally being someone's first Anna.
And like in the original Warriors where Celica doesn't recognize Anna, she's not in this video because Gaiden/Echoes is one of the rare games where there is no Anna (perhaps because Valentia is in the same world as Archanea so there actually technically is an Anna in her world, just not on Valentia)
Valentia and Tellius doesn't have an Anna (No i don't count Tutorial Anna as an Anna since she doesn't directly interact with the characters nor is a Shopkeeper)

Outside of the Trickster Annas, every merchant Anna in the overworld can be a different one (arguably), since they can "disappear" if risen spawn on her location and you don't help them out. Buuuut they might or might not come from different dimensions, considering the outrealm gate and the whole stuff about time travel.
@@GreatRaijin Awakening has like fourteen different Annas that appear on-screen (more if you include mentions). Base game has three: the recruitable one, the non-recruitable one you first save from one of the twins, and the generic merchant one who can show up randomly. DLC has the Outrealm gatekeeper Anna, six Annas in Five-Anna Firefight, the Anna who uses an awful French accent for the EXP grinding map, Apotheosis Anna, and the two Annas who run the beach resort and the hot springs.

They recognize her, but barely. I think it's notable because the inn is literally right at the start of the chapter and is relevant to the pirates. Also, she does run the secret shop as well, so it's not just the inn.
I love Ike's reaction cuz unlike in other fire emblem games where you buy stuff from Anna, Path of Radiance Anna only shows up as a Tutorial Guider, making Ike one of the only FE characters that never heard of Anna

What makes it even funnier is that Karen Strassman (Anna's VA in *most* Fire Emblem games) is friends with Mela Lee (Tiki's VA) and Monica Rial (Anna's VA in Engage and hopefully *only* Engage) isn't, so there's a sense of irony to it all.
Anna is the literal proof that every fire emblem with her in it is connected. As she called the other worlds "Anna's" her sisters, rather than her look-Alikes.
When I first finished engage I thought the awakening and fates lookalike sisters from Anna’s ending art were just that- lookalikes for the sake of a cool reference. Now I’m half convinced they’re actually Annas from the worlds of Awakening and Fates, if not literally being the playable ones from those games
All the games were already connected, either because they're in the same world, or because they connect through the Outrealm portals. Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light/Shadow Dragon, Gaiden/Echoes, Mystery of the Emblem/New Mystery of the Emblem, Archanea Saga, and Awakening explicitly take place in the same world as they all take place on Archanea/Ylisse and/or its neighboring continent Valentia/Valm. Genealogy and Thracia are said by staff to be in this same main world, though the exact position of the continent, Jugdral, is unknown. Binding Blade and Blazing Blade (which take place on Elibe) and Sacred Stones (Magvel) could be in this main world as well, but there's no confirmation. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn (Tellius) are explicitly in their own world, and Fates (unnamed continent) is in its own world as well. Three Houses and Three Hopes (Fodlan) could theoretically be in any of these worlds, or its own. Warriors (unnamed continent), Heroes (Zenith), and Engage (Elyos) all take place on their own worlds too, but they have deeper connections to the other worlds beyond just Outrealm portals. Tokyo Mirage Sessions/TMS Encore (Tokyo) is also obviously in its own world, and it has its own weird connection to the other games.
Well the only games Anna isn’t in is Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia AKA Celica’s game. But that game was always meant to be on a separate Continent from Marth. So it just means that all the games are connected.

Oh god, I know Ike has *been* Greg Chun for a while, but him having a normal sentence in a proper cutscene as opposed to mobile snippets *really* brought out the Nanba in his performance.
Young Anna is voiced by Rial but the older version is still voiced by the OG VA. Why couldn’t they get the OG VA to voice the young Anna, Mera Lee voiced both Versions of Tiki young and adult

I don't get how Anna just casually says her sisters are in different dimensions. Yet sombron has to start a thousand year war to get the rings to open a portal to the multiverse.
At this point, Anna is just reincarnated everytime. Tho she loses her memories, the Emblem keep their own, and thus, remember her. Who knows how long this has gone on for... maybe eons.
I've been avoiding footage of Engage until I finally have the chance to pick it up myself, but figured this one would be harmless enough. And I have to say Seitz is such a good pick for Hector's VA. I mean damn.

I was hoping Ike would ask if she was going to give him battle tips. Anna was a tutorial lady in those games. Marth, on the other hand, shuould remember Anna for that single house visit he made before recruiting Jake.
I'm still laughing at Anna's being world travelers and every single Anna knowing the others. Though the real question is ? How and when did they learn to travel from one world to another?
The funny part about Ike's interaction is it's because Ike doesn't buy stuff from Anna. Anna is a tutorial character, everything you buy/forge in-game is either from Jorge or his brother, and that goes for Radiant Dawn as well as Path of Radiance.

Theory time: She the Annas are not actually sisters, that is just a cover. There really is only one Anna but she can travel between worlds. She has the power to do so and does it so she can make money anywhere
Kinda spoilers, just in case: Sorry, but in the ending picture we can see Anna reunite with other Annas, so that confirms that yes, they actually are sisters xD
Awakening, Heroes and Warriors already disproven this theory. In Awakening, each Seasonal Paralogues and Special Events show you that there are different Annas. The Innkeeper Anna, the Lifeguard Anna, and also the 5 Anna sisters you need to save on that one map, Anna, Anna, Anna, Anna, and Little Anna. Also Apotheosis Anna exists. In Heroes, Commander Anna always remarked that she is often keeping in touch with Annas from other realms (Not the ones you can pull in the gacha, but Annas native to Zenith's various realms.) The various tools she has in Paralogues and Forging Bonds are also often borrowed from another Annas. For example, the Picture Tome that she uses to capture photos of girls in swimsuits to sell for more money (Nohrian Summer iirc). The Order of Heroes was also fined that one time by another Annas due to Commander Anna's profit-chasing shenanigans. In Warriors, Anna's win screen shows a bunch of other Annas fighting among themselves after finding a treasure chest, resulting in a big fight.

If you replay the DLC map where you save and recruit Anna, a different Anna will show up, and playable Anna will even mention how she was in that exact same situation and needs to save her too, much like how FEA Anna also comments about her sisters’ plights in EXPonential Growth and Five-Anna Firefight.
