Come join us on this beautiful scenic Fall Hike to the Emerald Pools in Zion National Park . Tucked into the red sandstone of the mountains in southern Utah, enjoy the shade and flora of pinyon-juniper woodlands. The Emerald Pools trail descends to emerald-colored pools of water above the small ephemeral waterfalls of Lower Emerald Pool Trail. The pools are fragile and an essential water source for wildlife. On the hike you can see majestic sights which includes views of Lady Mountain, the Great White Throne, Red Arch Mountain and cliffs in all directions.
There is a $35 entry fee, but with this pass you can enter Zion or any National Park within 7 days. If you have a national park pass, like we do, then it's free. We used our Annual Pass, so it was a cheap drive up and park visit. Plan about 5 hours for your visit and hike of the Emerald Pool Trail.
