I was so happy to hear Dee singing karaoke! I think we should be able to enjoy this at least once a cruise. I can’t wait to hear Jay singing, I know it won’t be sweet Caroline lol
I am curious to see how this cruise goes. I have been on many Princess cruises, which I loved, but was very disappointed with the Emerald Princess. The big problem was the food. Always underseasoned and dry. At the time we chalked it up to post pandemic but based on your first review, I am not sure if they have really addressed this issue. Princess take note to this Vlog series!
Love your videos! Hope to cruise with you some day. I am going on Emerald Princess next year to Greenland. The reviews of late are not good for Princess or that ship. A lot say never again (Princess). What are your thoughts? Greenland is a bucket list trip so I am going regardless. All the best! Congrats on #100!!
Thankee! We enjoy the Millennium-class ships overall, though Princess' food has started going a bit downhill over the past year or so. It's still good, but just not as good as we remember, hah!! :P
That pork n'bean dish in the MDR.... UGH! Princess what were you thinking? Honestly, I've taken a 10 and 11 day cruise with Princess this year already and food quality has come DOWN. I'm taking this same Hawaiian cruise/ship in 5 days. First cruise that long and first to Hawaii, so I look forward to the rest of your videos!

Interesting to see the dining room and other food on Princess. Having just come off a 10 day Carnival Miracle cruise from San Francisco to Alaska, I can say the Carnival menu looks like it takes the food up a notch. Even the taco bar on Princess looked subpar, looks like prepackaged tortillas, nothing special, same with their burger station. Good to know, thanks for showing them!
We have been looking forward to this series. We did a 15 day from San Francisco to Hawaii last year and it was marvelous. There was always something to do and the time flew by way too fast.

Watching a movie on the open ocean is my favorite evening activity! I missed it when sailing in NCL and cannot wait to get back on a Carnival ship for Dive In movies!
I was also wondering of affordable hotels near the port of San Pedro. Walking distance would be ideal but would be willing to take an Uber or Lyft to get to port 😎

Thanks for the vid! Wow...people complain about Carnival and yet I'd take a cabin on pretty much any Carnival ship over the one you all had on this one. Doable of course, but dang.
We were laughing when we saw the pork with beans🤣 That's not Hawaiian. Maybe at a bbq or English breakfast. Total miss😂 I like ding dong dish, a play on the ding dong ditch game from childhood ( although I was a good kid and didnt do that).
Can’t wait to watch this series. We’re doing the same cruise in October on the Sapphire Princess. I’ve never been and can’t wait. The Emerald is a beautiful ship, enjoy. We were just on her for a 5 night 4th of July cruise to Ensenada/SF.
Emerald Princess was our very first cruise some years past .. it’s what got us into Cruising… We were blown away the moment we stepped onto the ship.. floating hotel was the first thing that came to mind.. but not just any Hotel.. it blew our minds.. this was way before the mega ships were even a thought ;-)

When I saw the Hawaiian Pork on the menu I hoped you got it. Wow, how awful. You are going to have to let the wait staff know when something is that bad so they can report it and it won't come out again. I am afraid I have never been a huge fan of the food on Princess so I hope it improves for you.
A year ago February we left on the Majestic Princess. There were two or three fire boats spraying water off the side and it was wonderful but far less crowded than your cruise! Love the horn!!

We try to stay near the port, but don’t really have any preference. We stay wherever we can find a deal, ha ha. We usually do Uber/Lyft for the ride to the port!! :D
