Amazing work man! Digging the insights as always and your loyalty to the inks! I look forward to more! Definitely felt sorry for Andrea though! Such a perfectly curved start for you and the discard of a be prepared followed by the Ursual hit on one 💔
Yeah, it was pretty perfect how it played out! I think my cards just thrive under the pressure of the camera :') Thanks for all the support from both of you, I'm looking forward to hopefully recording some Illuminotts tournaments in the near future! :D
Thanks for stopping by on the video! Here's an updated version I made a couple weeks ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OdbDE9Z_DK0.html it's closer to the most recent version :)
The only way I could get behind this deck is if it could win regularly against Sapphire Ruby. I’d be curious to see that matchup specifically. I think R/A is pretty easy to win against with any discard deck
I'll be playtesting the most recent iteration of this deck against a sapphire/ruby deck tomorrow, it's the deck I'm most keen to get playtime against with it being so prominent in the meta currently. If it struggles against that then it'll be time to go back to the drawing board but I think, in theory, it will fair well as long as I can remove Sisu shift options and empty their hand. I've considered some Benja's as well to help quell early ramp from Fishbone and Hiram draw power. We'll see! I might be able to get some footage of the games as well, which would be good. :)
Hey, deck looks super fun! I'm thinking of getting into Lorcana and have experience with a lot of other TCGs/CCGs. What's the rough price point for this deck?
Hey! Glad you liked it :) This deck isn't too bad price wise but it's not the best deck in the current meta, though I do believe it plays well into at least 2 of the 3 big decks currently. For this deck, you'd be looking at around £150 but if I'm honest, most of that comes from the "Beast - Tragic Hero" cards that are around £20 - £25 a piece. I would suggest checking out my most recent deck tech on this deck though before building it as I've made some positive improvements to it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OdbDE9Z_DK0.html
@@HazmaT-Lorcana Thanks I will! Honestly I just really like the discard control playstyle, so even if it's more of a rogue deck I might get it eventually. Appreciate your thorough answer :)
And I appreciate you stopping by on the video! :D I hope you enjoy venturing into the world of Lorcana, I've played other TCG's a plenty but this one has certainly captured my heart.
Well played both! Emerald Steel looked really solid here. As a R/A player with a bit of a different decklist, would be interested in having a few games to see how it matches up if you'd be interested?
Believe it or not, I actually quite enjoy the matchup! 😂 Some advice from my experience against Steelsong, when you mulligan, mulligan aggressively for Ursula Deceiver, if you get this and discard their Whole New World, it's pretty much over for them. Baboom is good to keep as well for Cindy, Robin hood, and Queen 1 drops so they can't shift or sing big songs early - it also kills Daisy in combination with Captain hook. In general, just make sure you stay on top of removing their singers, ESPECIALLY anything that can sing 5 cost songs as we want to force them into hard casting whole new world, this feels awful for steelsong. On top of that, if they do have to do this and we have prince johns mirror out, they will have to discard down to 3 at the end of their turn anyway so it ends up just being 7 cards for us and 3 for them. Hope this helps a little, I actually have an updated version of the list and gameplay against steelsong coming soon so keep an eye out for that :) thank you for the support!
Nah, it's not essential, Smee is infinitely better both in the early game and as a late game top deck. Plus, when your opponent doesn't have a hand, Flynn is the easiest thing to remove, whereas Smee requires you to deal and take 3 damage in a challenge and dodges Under the Sea / Sisu / brawl etc.
Item removal is included in the latest version of the deck, video on that coming in the next couple days. As for Robin Hood, If you're running him, you're running the shift line; I find it hard to justify 8 slots for him, it's controversial but I'm not as crazy on him as everyone else is outside of shifting him on turn three which I think is excellent of course, if you don't get that in your opening hand though, they aren't the best used 8 slots. But that's just my opinion and of course I'd be open to trying a version of the deck with them in to see how it goes. :)
