Also, I am off for a few days after surgery. I’m sitting on the couch with a coffee, ready to watch all your videos starting from day 1. It will take me a while, but I’m excited to gain insight on this type of work!!!

We do dialysis patients on the vent at bedside. We don’t usually bring them to the dialysis suite. Thank u!

Hi. I’m very interested in becoming a dialysis nurse. I have a few questions if you are able to answer in a “mentor” capacity? 1. We have fresnius and Davita near our home. Which one would be a better place to be trained in chronic dialysis/ICHH? 2. Do you think it’s better to start in chronic and then expand from there? I’m intimidated to start ICHD due to the fact that I have just one year and it’s in rehab, which has some med/surg but not critical all the time. We have critical lab values, and people develop other issues. But, if it’s too critical we send them out due to the fact that our facility is not equipped for ICU situations and other higher level critical stuff

1. Join the Facebook group: dialysis nurses supporting nurses. Lots of nurses that work for both companies with some insight. I work at a stand alone clinic. I would suggest applying for both! 2. You will do great at dialysis. We send our critical patients out too. I suggest chronics for a year before going to acutes.
