Carson you remind me so much of my dad. When that bull was causing problems I could sense you resisting the urge to say something else to him. When I war really young my dad would get frustrated at a bull he’d always watched what he said but that only lasted til I was in jr high. Learned a lot of new words from dad then. lol. He usually wore western snap shirts but you knew it was hot when he’d strip down to his t shirt on the tractor. Thanks for taking us on another adventure. Keeping you guys in prayers for rain and lets hope, COOLER temps! Gads, we have 10 days with temperatures that are going to be record breaking up here. We will be checking pasture water sources too because in these temps and low humidity and no rain predicted? Things are going to get a bit precarious for sure. Its been 100 or more here in western Kansas too. I dont have cattle but my hens sure don't like it! We put up a sunshade meant for greenhouses & its helped some. Also a fan in the coop. They've really quit laying eggs too. This too shall pass. I will say we're better off than last year. We've had some nice rains so far.
We hit 115 here at my ranch in the foothills of FarNorCal. Luckily we don’t have humidity, so they do alright if they on pasture with plenty of cool Fresh water and shade. Stay cool everyone and calve on!
