Can't find my eye problem anyplace. Both above the eye have a discolored blemish but it doesn't effect my sight or cause pain. But look like a small abnormal thing on both
A couple months ago, we had a patient presented with a severe chemical burn on the eye because the ophthalmologist before had used a gonio lens that apparently had been washed with bleach!
The problem is if you want to see an eye doctor for Medical reasons even for just an eye exam you have to pay them hundreds upfront until your deductible is paid off. That’s money you probably don’t have even if you had vision and health insurance for years.
In September 2022 I noticed I had a shadow in my left eye and contacted my surgery to have an online consultation with a doctor. Two days later I was at the hospital having extensive eye examinations to be told I had not one but three retinal tears so was scheduled to have emergency surgery two days later.I was told prior to the surgery that I had a cataract and the deterioration of this would be sped up because of the surgery. I have not noticed any more floaters but have sporadic flashing lights which I was told about. When I went back for my next day post op appointment, the surgeon was very happy how the surgery had gone well and the ‘repairs’ had remained intact. When I went back after 8 weeks, was told that the eye had healed well and unless, I noticed more than usual floaters and flashing lights, to call them but as mentioned, the flashing lights are sporadic and I check there are no shadows. I live in the UK and the NHS Eye department is amazing 😊
I had flashing lights when looking side to side at night for a few days before I decided to investigate. Watching RU-vid videos like these are a great resource. Turns out my right eye had a retinal tear. Just a few weeks later my left eye developed a big floater, and that retina was torn. I made the floaters worse by flicking my eyes around to see if I could get rid of it. It's been over 2 years since I had the laser procedure and the flashing lights never went away. What could the explanation be for that? The floaters too remain but I know they may be able to be zapped with the laser.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It is possible that you are still having flashing lights because the retina tear (which is hopefully lasered to prevent it from extending) is still being stimulated, but if you feel that these flashes are getting worse or you are having new symptoms, I would urge that you see your eye doctor to make sure there are no new issues. Years ago I fainted and hit my head on the bathroom floor. After that I started seeing sparks or shooting stars. It was a tiny tear so wasn’t a real emergency and an ophthalmologist spot welded it a couple of weeks later. The procedure was intensely painful and distressing
Hi Dr. Lee! I have corneal ulcer in my right eye & have been treating it with Oftaquix 1.5% drops for more than 2 weeks now. My eye is a lot better now no more redness & no more pain but my doctor wud like me to continue the eyedrop. Is there no such thing as overuse of this eyedrop?

Is it possible for cellphone, laptop, and tv screens to permanently damage your eyes? e.g hardcore gamers who stare at the tv screen for 16 hours a day etc.. and what eye condition could arise from such excessive activities? especially if for e.g having a pre-condition like central serous retinopathy in one of the eyes.

Actually were still in the middle of the ocean right now coz i work at ship but i will inform my captain about my right eye condition because i always saw repeated flashes of a strand of light sometimes its like a shooting star in the corner of my eye and im still 29 yrs old and its already two days for now sinced it started. I hope my eye is ok.🙏
@@johnestrada862 I hope it's OK. Keep an eye on the symptoms and if you develop new floaters, curtains, or changes in vision, your eye issues should be looked into urgently.
@@MicheleLeeMD hello doc good day again. I got check up yesterday and my diagnosed are dry eyes and posterior vitreous detachment. Is pvd can be healed by itself because the doctor in saudi he just gave an eye drop and said that my condition is nothing serious. Thank you again.❤🙏
@@johnestrada862 A posterior vitreous detachment is a common process and is in itself nothing to worry about. If you do get new eye symptoms like changes in vision, new flashes etc. definitely go back to make sure though. Thanks for sharing!
I've noticed that when I wake up, my vision sometimes flickers for a few seconds. This happens when I wake up or when I'm lying down, close my eyes and then open them. Additionally, in the first few minutes of the morning if I look at a white or light wall my lower and peripheral vision seem to be moving.... I'm panicking thinking I have a brain tumor or that I'm going blind
