Replace some people with most people don't pay attention. I have so many gray hairs just from running code. I actually got hit when I turned on my lights and when making a U-Turn the person following me crashed right into me hurting me and rattling my K-9 partner. Guy said he didn't see the lights! Like really!?!

Amazing, California is the most liberal, but at least most...regardless of party...vehicles, motorists, bicyclists or pedestrians...yield when it's most called for in life...and I'll leave it at that. Life should be life...people yielding at most... blessed are the most important times (police, fire or ambulance). Blessings to the live-givers and peace-makers. Keith

Firey Pheonix YT i have iOS so there's no editor for videos. If you look at my recent content you will notice that I've downloaded a video editor, however I don't have the money to get a very good one.
@@femboyrules7594 I'm a 23 year veteran in law enforcement so I do know. In Texas, you must slow down and come to a stop before proceeding through a red light intersection for safety to prevent being t-boned by any cross traffic.
Here in the the state of Michigan the law states when driving code or priority you must use due regard. I figured most states were like this. Meaning, if you want to blow through a stop light you can. However, if involved in a vehicle accident it will be determined you were not using due regard. Also, when I was going through my medic programs it was explained to us as this... When entering a red light or driving code/priority you're simply asking for permission for the right of way. If you get hit, the other driver will indeed be fined for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. However, your career will most likely come to an end due to law suits and companies not wanting to employ you because of said liability. The state may also revoke your right to practice. So just because you can go fast and run red lights doesn't mean you can do it mindlessly.

@@NewJerseyFederalLawGaming Pretty sure the law only states that a solid burning red lamp must be illuminated whenever the emergency vehicle is being used as such. It doesn't say anything about a blue light, some departments just run a solid red and blue one.
@@dfw_fpis7655 Ahh, but the LAPD has a solid red and a solid blue. (On their Federal Signal Argent Lightbars and I believe on their new Federal Signal Valor lightbar as well.)
Because in the old days (like 1900's) the lights were only steady burning and it was decided that solid red was a good warning light because red meant danger and warning so it seemed appropriate for an emergency vehicle to have one to warn people that they needed to get by. The California Highway Patrol used to only have solid red spotlights as their warning lights. By law it is required (grandfathered in) that these remain. It also works for undercover vehicles that the police use.
