Not making excuses, but they have absolutely nothing to do but get into mischief. Unless they’re on a job, there is nothing but a library during the weekends (the pools haven’t opened yet) for these young ppl to partake of in the sense of youth activities. Back in the day you had youth groups that went bowling or adventure camps, nowadays there’s nothing for fear of child predators in these programs. In the meantime, they run anywhere their parents can’t see them doing their mischief.

Sadly some of the so called parents are renting rooms for them & allowing them to run amuck , so parents definitely need to be responsible and maybe step up, and there's several programs are around, the issue is lazy azz or over trusting parents

@@hozay913 Or How about they read or write a book or use civil means to handle conflict?!! Because it’s of no interest to them.

This is so false it makes me laugh. There are plenty of places for tweens/teens to go and do things--rec centers, libraries, malls/shopping centers, bowling, ice/roller skating, sporting events, movies, trampoline parks, skateboard parks, regular parks, zoo, museums, etc. The issue is that they have not been REQUIRED to participate in positive activities and ways of behaving when in those spaces. I used to hang at the malls ALL WEEKEND long from age 11 unsupervised--and we didn't act a fool. We knew our parents would ring our necks for cutting up in public and the business owners weren't gonna let shoplifting or vandalism go either. Teens/tweens need to be held to higher expectations to act in appropriate ways and when they don't, parents need to be held accountable as well.

@@Mztiny2oonz 100% this! Parents have washed their hands over REQUIRING their children to have manners, behave in respectful ways, and being spoken to/corrected by other adults in the community. They wanna claim it takes a village but when the village tried to speak to their unruly child, they wanna jump hot and cuss the village out. Well, when your child is out of control, the law enforcement part of the village is gonna curtail that behavior.
