This very nice example of a tombstone style radio was built around 1935 by Emerson in the USA. After 90 years, I wonder if it works. Should I give it a try?

I worked on a Philco radio from 1933 and was amazed to see a sticker that the radio was made by the “Philco Radio and Television Corporation.” It took awhile before television became commercially feasible, but many corporations could see that it would eventually happen.

Emerson radio model 34C . The cabinet is by Ingraham. There should be two electrolytics at 8uF at 450V each in the can. The B+ is 355 Volts. These radios did not come with a back. You should use a 16uF +16uF electrolytic as a replacement. 47uF is too high.
