Listening to the first chorus part of this song, after the line *Against every odd* , I heard *we'll make it* instead of *I know it* which I believe to be meant for the second chorus. Just thought I'd let you know.

I like how Emi's voice represents Tails in the song and Tony Harnell's voice represents Sonic.

We need a song like this for Rangers and the series as whole going forward! As while musically Fist Bump was good, great even, lyrically and vocally it left a lot to be desired. One more last fist bump... ugh, give me Strength!

Sega needs to start copying Emi's homework for Rangers, especially after what Rise of the Wisps served up with Tails' (lack of) involvement in that short, as it really does seem like the tale of two Tails, when compared to the radio drama. The Virgin Meta Era Tails who can't even fight regular Egg Pawns - nevermind Chaos (0) - without cowering, and all he can do is use a discount Switch to spout exposition, as he plays kid sidekick to Sonic vs The Chad Sonic and Tails R Tails who faces down Eggman by himself bravely despite being scared - because there's no courage without fear! - and can use the Chaos Emeralds to go Super, as he stands as an equal by Sonic's side! And we can't return to this in the games because...?

That's so touching!! I wrote it with the goal of making it feel like a back-and-forth between Sonic and Tails and the bond they share, so I'm glad you felt it.

@@unowenproj You did an amazing job of that, really. It sounds like the two of them singing about how they always stick together if they can and neither of them ever leaves the other behind, with how it sounds like they're talking to each other and a lot of the wording is "we" instead of "I" and stuff like that. They're really supposed to be best friends and partners, not a glamorous hero and his shy nerdy sidekick, and you absolutely nailed that. And it brings out some of the confidence Tails has gained, with the "can’t believe I spent forever just waiting by" line for him and how he (via Emi) sings almost all of those aforementioned "we" lines right alongside Sonic (who's Tony, of course). Honestly I think this is my favorite Sonic theme ever.

You know who Tails is supposed to be (and, if Found My Way is any indication, have for a while), but I don't think you force it like some folks, past versions of myself included, do. You've had him discover himself and gain more confidence, and brought him up to Sonic's level, but haven't tried to force his bond with Sonic to the back or made him into an entirely different character. In my eyes at least, Sonic's still his best friend, and he still looks up to the blue hedgehog. But he's not afraid to do things himself either, and he's grown to realize that just being like Sonic means he can't use any of his own unique strengths. And that's what the song's about. They're still the best of friends, and they still do everything together, but Tails has realized that he's not Sonic and that just trying to be Sonic isn't what he's meant to do. You're all so talented, honestly. I don't think I'm ready for this series to end, I've genuinely almost entirely broken down emotionally thinking about how the story's almost over. Tails literally changed my life a couple years ago, and seeing him written so well makes me happy in a way beyond words. He's just the absolute best, especially you and Doryan's version of him. (And your voice for him is great. I think Sega should hire you if they wind up getting rid of Colleen like they might be doing. Super adorable, makes him sound like a kid, while also being acted really well and allowing him to be serious when he needs to be.) I know a second season isn't currently planned, but... one can hope, can't they?

@@unowenproj I can tell. It has the same underlying tempo, beat, etc while sounding so original at the same time. Anyone can tell it’s been worked and reworked to perfection. Something about it all meshed together with the optimistic lyrics just overwhelms me with nostalgia and positivity. THIS is why I became a Sonic fan and this song reminds me of that every time I listen to it and sing along. It’s a work of art!
