The title that came to mind by my husband whose a songwriter is: "The story of my seasons." I hope Emily Bear will see this!!! She is such a beautiful soul and her music is outstanding!!!!

Love your album Emily. This song makes me think of a woman reminiscing with the background changing from one season to another. I would like to propose "Seasons"

+mark carey I saw her play in Santa Monica Ca about 1.5 yrs ago, no more than 70 people in a very small venue, My seat was no more than 20 feet from her with an unobstructed view of the keyboard, an amazing experience. I believe this is where she sang for the first time, what a surprise, very good voice. All these comparisons people make with other child prodigies are pointless and futile, she's who she is, and we're lucky enough to bear witness. (no pun intended) Also, if you're not familiar with Alma Deutscher, from England, check her out, this little one is on a whole different level, astoundingly talented!

The beginning sounds like a faster beginning to Evanescence's Song with the words ".. I'm so tired of being here, suppressed by all my childish fear..." That one. It is beautiful. "Freedom Spring" would be a good name!

No outstanding melody of ''Hook'' in any of her little jingles to remember them by in years to come, also thousands of young pianists in the world, especially in Asian far better than her. As usual in America , the world of ''whooping'' audiences at talk shows, talent shows etc and overhyped youngsters, the Americans love the ''ahhh factor'' when it comes to child performers and actors . Emily comes from a privileged background and has been having lessons since a being a little kid and in my honest opinion she is ok but no world beater or genius.
@Onisha-rl7hk
@Onisha-rl7hk 9 лет назад
Howard Elliott Now how would an illiterate no brain like yourself know anything at all about who are the very best world class Classical pianist's in the world at the present time, people who play to packed audiences all over the world and by their skills have won many top competitions, like Chopin prize, Tchaikovsky competition etc ? Lastly, did they not teach you how to read and write properly when and if you went to school ? You just show your distinct lack of vocabulary and class by having to resort to swearing and abuse to make your point of view. You talk toilet, so do yourself a favour and go flush yourself down one.
@lovesarahchang

***** Genius is a word used too often in this day and age. I see a child in Emily who is a very good pianist and promising composer, time will tell how far she goes but there does seem like there is a big publicity drive on RU-vid to promote her.
@derrickhowlettDQ
@derrickhowlettDQ 9 лет назад
***** Trying to ignore trolls with such an obtrusive and jaundiced view is challenging, but we can try ... FactCheck: 1) Emily has a wonderful smile and joy of music which most audiences find delightfully catching. 2) She has a rare improvisational skill that enables her to capture a certain mood or idea, as suggested by an audience member, instantly. 3) Her astonishing abilities in jazz as well as classical music have enabled her to appear and be given top honors at jazz festivals ( Montreux, etc.) as well as at classical venues like Carnegie Hall. 4) She has captured the hearts of people like Ellen, who asked her back again and again, and notably, Quincey Jones, who has taken her under his wing with love and amazement. 5) Having listened carefully to the greatest pianists of the last 100 years, as well as many promising up- coming young pianists, I (a Music Ph.D. with many decades of experience in all areas of music) firmly state that although there may be youngsters with more astonishing technical facility, there are none that have even come close to having the astonishing musicianship at so young an age as Emily, who has also set Guinness records for her CDs and published compositions. 6) Many interviews and demonstrations suggest that Emily has more fun musically in a few days than many musicians will have in their lifetimes. 7) Trolls are often given away by their ad hominem attacks on anyone who comes to the defense of whoever or whatever they are attacking - calling someone making a comment an "illiterate no brain" with "lack of vocabulary and class" who "talks a lot of nonsense" and "never learned to read or write properly when or if they went to school." Such trolls become reportable abusers when they tell someone "You talk toilet so do yourself a favor and go flush yourself down one." "you must be a complete brainwashed fool," "I cannot be bothered with a foolish person like you." Anyone who resorts to such bullying is a lowest form of troll, all of whose criticisms must be rejected! :(
@derrickhowlettDQ
@derrickhowlettDQ 9 лет назад
honda1901 Even edited, your comments, like those of Onisha1979, contain abusive bullying serious enough to be reported.:( Dear Emily Bear, along with a number of other astonishing musical "wonder- kids" who have wonderful videos on RU-vid and elsewhere, don't need any of us fans to defend them; they will be remembered with awe and appreciation long after most if not all of their critics, and most if not all of the rest of us, are gone and forgotten. :0
@derrickhowlettDQ
@derrickhowlettDQ 9 лет назад
lovemetu Are you blind? Or are you honda1901 and Onisha1979 in another account/persona? The abusive and bullying comments have little to do with Emily Bear and her amazing talents, but rather to the attacks both make upon absoftitanium who dared to speak up on Emily's behalf and against the aggressive criticisms of those two. Since both Onisha1979 and Honda1901 have rather similar names, and both end their scurrilous ad hominem attacks by suggesting that absoftitanium do us all a favor and "flush yourself down a toilet," one can only suspect that they may well be one and the same troll!! :( :( So it seems that 1) you are either oblivious to these libelous attacks or else are trying to smokescreen them! :( 2) I do not "only have eyes and ears for the music of Emily Bear," but follow with great enjoyment and appreciation a number of child prodigies of music, as well as Pavarotti, Celine Dion, even Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, and other well- established stars of music. 3) Your statement - " I also notice that it appears as if you have removed some of your comments, perhaps you were winding others up" - is totally wrong, and seems intended to cast some shadow of doubt on the clarity or sincerity of my clearly thought- out comments. 4) Most remarkable of all is that not one of these anti- Emily comments mention the name of EVEN ONE musician, of ANY AGE, who they might promote as being better, in at least one way or another, than Ms. Bear herself. "Let those who have eyes and ears see and hear!"-Jesus

Xiao Bob No outstanding melody or ''Hook'' in any of her little jingles to remember them by in years to come, also thousands of young pianists in the world, many in Asian equal to her and quite a few better than her. Wow, it sucks to be you. You are soooo educated that you can't even enjoy the beauty of a simple melodic composition. So what is your cup of tea? 20th century atonal music? Hindemith? Schoenberg? Horowitz? I bet you are really popular at parties.

***** My comment was for Xiao Bob. But now that I have read your comment, yeah, it goes for you too. The thing that is impressive about this girl is that she WRITES her own music. Any kid can play with enough training and practice. But how many can compose? Who taught her that? All I see from these "prodigy" kids are copy cats who do what they are taught by some of the world's best teachers. And they will need lessons from the best in order to achieve success, especially in the Classical music world. Emily Bear is not that. She is her own enigma who will leave behind some beautiful music composed from the heart which will only get better as she grows older.
