I've seen a lot of horror movies but this particular movie was very different for me. It left an immense impact on my mind. Couldn't get over it for a couple of days considering all the pain she had to go though, she must have gone through a lot. I personally feel very sorry for her and her family. I wish no one has to go through such kind of pain in life, R.I.P Anneliese Michel.

I believe both the sides, it could be that she became ill before she got possessed or experienced anything spiritual, since now she was not only physically weak but mentally too, she became very vulnerable to the negative energy and this made her possession easy, which means that she started knowing that she’s having psychotic and epileptic episodes in her hostel but once she went to the hospital she became ill from a personality disorder and depression, the medicine she took would only made effect after she would have taken it for a long time, meaning the medicine made her more scared and weak in the starting but could’ve helped her if she continued. Also she died when she died because the spirits inside her realized that they’ve consumed her and she’s of no use to them anymore, and as they left she saw the dream because even if she was not possessed or able to eat, her condition was so critical she would’ve died anyway. But we know she fought till the end and god was always beside her.

Great explanation and editing.👍 One thing is sure that human mind is very complex to understand how it functions. There are many disorders related to brain like Epilepsy, Alzheimer, Split Personality, etc. Actually in this case both doctors and father have their own thoughts and opinion and they were correct in their own thought but neither of them couldn't save her and that's the sad part.

It was sheer horror to watch this movie..not from horror perspective but from the mental and physical health..schizophrenic, multiple personality problems, seizures, and many other problems as well..sadly Psychiatry and Psychology wasnt much of a field , let alone be even aware of it..I had heard and read the case in detail..its a really sad horrifying incident..a young girl didnt even lived to her mid 20s bcos of so many people's negligence..

@@prasoonmishra995 Weird smell in room like someone is burning......waking up at 3am fr an week..sleep paralysis...after then I went to youth festival fr 10days thought after coming things will be normal....The morning I returned back I took a nap all my classmates went to class...I literally felt like someone cuddled me and whispered something to my ears....later that night I got sleep paralysis again I felt someone was choking me I was almost going to die I just called my roomie somehow and one of my classmate broke my sleep. Very thankful to her.....after that for a week read bible.....prayed to god ....wore a rosary and it was fine...I just graduated this month..... In 2019 I had this experience

think its bc God would never tell someone to give up their life. I think it was still the demons in her telling her to kill herself (lying basically) so she commits a sin of killing herself taking her to hell. So, she chose to stay in the name of god and kept fighting.
