Em's 99-2004 run also had killer diss tracks, the D12 albums, classic guest verses for Dre and Jay, etc. Dude was untouchable in his prime.

Em doesn't make the best albums outside those 3 in row he dropped (if you know you know). But Em has many classic verses and songs in my book. I never heard Infinite. I take each album as they are released. For any artist. Life molds us. Throws us curve balls. We have good times and bad times. Each album reflects that. I am personally Em is still here making music.

Recovery is definitely underrated. I feel like if it came out in the late 2010s or early 2020s, when there's much more awareness on mental health, it'd be getting more praise than it got in 2010. I still don't think it beats MMLP2 though.

Culturalist Theory, thank you for putting my personal favorite Eminem album, 22:57 , as the best album from the Detroit legend. While The Marshall Mathers LP put Eminem on the mainstream map, 22:57 is the album that made me a fan of Slim Shady. 😊

Eminem "When we recorded Stan I worked with a couple different engineers but this particular engineer I had never worked with before. So I’m in the booth waiting and he backs the tape up all the way to the beginning of the verse and punches me in. I realize he’s in the wrong spot and I can’t hear any of my vocals so I start waving my arms and yelling in the mic to try to get his attention. He doesn’t notice so I run into the control room through a cloud of smoke and yell “Yo, I wanted to keep those vocals” he just looked at me and said “My bad man…you wanna hit this?” The first half of the verse was GONE. I re-recorded it but you should have heard the original take that shit was WAY better…oh well!" About the lost verse Eminem said there was a verse where Stan got out of the water. He escaped and came to Eminem's house to kill him and then Eminem had to kill him first but Eminem missed him.
